Stewards Trial 1 – 431m

The greyhound RORY THE RACER performed a satisfactory stewards’ trial over the distance of 431m in a time of 25.61 and is now cleared all tracks.

Even start with the exception of FANCY A BOHERNA, GALWAY ALICE and BLAZIN’ BLUE which were marginally slow.  BLUE GIRL BLUE and FANCY A BOHERNA checked at the 1st turn with FANCY A BOHERNA losing ground.  In the back straight BONITA DE KAHN shifted out and bumped BLAZIN’ BLUE who was wide.  At the top turn BLUE GIRL BLUE checked off the heels of MINNIE BLUE and lost considerable ground.  At the turn into the home straight MINNIE BLUE shifted off heels and checked FANCY A BOHERNA with both greyhounds racing wide down the home straight as a result.

SKY RACING MAIDEN 431M

FARMOR FINALLY and NITRO NIC were best to begin. At the 1st turn FARMOR FINALLY bumped SPRING JENNY who in turn checked NITRO NIC causing it to fall and take no further competitive part in the race.  Shortly after FARMOR FINALLY turned its head and eased with CHIPPIES and SPRING JENNY colliding into it, causing all greyhounds to lose considerable ground as a result.  Approaching the top turn FARMOR FINALLY checked off the heels of SPRING JENNY and lost ground.  At the turn into the home straight CHIPPIES and NITRO NIC raced tight and bumped.

 

The greyhound SPRING JENNY underwent a post race veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found.

 

The greyhound FARMOR FINALLY underwent a post race veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found.  Stewards advised trainer Mr. S Scott that the greyhound would be charged under Rule 69 (A) Failing to Pursue, 1st offence, 28 days plus a satisfactory stewards’ trial 431m all tracks.

 

The greyhound NITRO NIC underwent a post race veterinarian examination and was found to have suffered an injury to the off side shoulder and was stood down for a period of 7 days.

GREYHOUND-DATA.COM NOVICE 431M

Even start with the exception of ADHARA GOLD and SHE’S FOXY which were marginally slow.  Approaching the 1st turn ADHARA GOLD, SPOT ROSE HI, SHE’S FOXY and COOL COUGAR raced tight and checked with SPOT ROSE HI stumbling and taking no further part in the race.  SHE’S FOXY and COOL COUGAR lost significant ground as a result of this collision.  At the turn into the home straight BLACK KOALA shifted out and checked with ADHARA GOLD.

 

The greyhound MADRE underwent a post race veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found.

 

The greyhound COOL COUGAR underwent a post race veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found.

 

The greyhound SPOT ROSE HI underwent a post race veterinarian examination and was found to have suffered an injury to the off side hock and was stood down for a period of 8 weeks.

RED JUMPER was best to begin.  At the 1st turn ENZO JAZZ and ZAZU’S HEADACHE raced tight and bumped.  SNOWBALL CREED and WHO SAID SO raced wide in the back straight.  CATCH ME KEITH and SNOWBALL CREED raced wide through the turn into the home straight and also down the home straight.  CHIPPIE ROSE HI also raced wide down the home straight.

CITY COUNTRY FOOD SERVICE 5th GRADE HEAT 1 431M

PAY THE WAY was slow to begin.  All greyhounds with the exception of KYLE THE TANK and PAN YOKO raced tight and checked at the 1st turn with ASICLAO falling while KNOCKA NOVA and BATMAN BAIL lost significant ground.  PAY THE WAY raced wide in the back straight.  KYLE THE TANK and WHITE EAGLE raced tight just prior to the finish causing PAY THE WAY to be momentarily impeded.

 

The greyhound KNOCKA NOVA underwent a post race veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found.

 

The greyhound ASICLAO underwent a post race veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found.

Even start with the exception of WAYCOL BILL and BROTHER TREVOR which were both slow to begin.  At the 1st turn COSMIC REVENGE, RATHNAIT and SPRING BEK came together and checked.  FARMOR PERHAPS, DOLLY’S WALLY and MILLION DOLLAR which were trailing collided with RATHNAIT as a consequence causing these greyhounds to lose significant ground.  Leaving the turn into the back straight BROTHER TREVOR checked off the heels of RATHNAIT and lost ground.  Leaving the back straight FARMOR PERHAPS raced wide.  Approaching the top turn WAYCOL BILL checked off the heels of SPRING BEK and lost ground.

 

The greyhound BROTHER TREVOR underwent a post race veterinarian examination and was found to have suffered an injury to the back and was stood down for a period of 10 days.

TRUCK PARTS EXPRESS 5th GRADE HEAT 3 431M

BINERARY BOY and SPRING ROY were best to begin.  Approaching the 1st turn DEFINITELY YES, QUEEN REEN, YOU JANE and GRAND ANGEL raced tight and bumped with GRAND ANGEL, YOU JANE and DEFINITELY YES losing considerable ground.  OUR DELIVERANCE and YOU JANE raced wide in the back straight.  Approaching the turn into the home straight QUEEN REEN checked off the heels of SPRING ROY.  At the same time BINERAY BOY shifted out and bumped OUR DELIVERANCE.  Leaving the turn into the home straight QUEEN REEN shifted in and checked GRAND ANGEL.  OUR DELIVERANCE raced wide in the home straight.

GET SHORTY was best to begin.  LIGHTNING WHITE was marginally slow.  Approaching the 1st turn and through the turn IT’S ABOUT TIME and PIPE OF PEACE raced tight and checked on a number of occasions. LIGHTNING WHITE who was trailing was hampered as a result.  In the back straight IT’S ABOUT TIME shifted out causing PIPE OF PEACE to race wide.  Approaching the top turn ASTIN’S WARRIOR shifted out with SPRING ELLIE being impeded as a result.

 

The greyhound PIPE OF PEACE underwent a post race veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found.  Stewards spoke to the trainer of the greyhound Mr. N Evans regarding its performance in the race.  Mr. Evans explained that the greyhound usually performs better when it leads and is not as strong when trailing the field. Stewards noted his response.

COFFEE AT RONI’S 5th GRADE HEAT 4 431M

GLORIA’S CHOICE was slow to begin.  At the 1st turn INDIAN GIVER checked off the heels of SNOWBALL OTTO and checked CHINA ROB with both greyhounds losing ground as a result.  GLORIA’S CHOICE who was trailing was impeded and checked off the heels of those greyhounds causing it to lose ground as a result.

BEC’S DIAMOND was best to begin.  LITE ME UP and RUMBLING JAKE were marginally slow.  Leaving the turn into the back straight LITE ME UP checked off the heels of SHEZA RULER and lost ground.  Approaching the top turn SHEZA RULER shifted in causing LITE ME UP to check off its heels and lose ground.  GEMMA BENZ and BEC’S DIAMOND raced tight and bumped just prior to the finish.
