Stewards Trial 1 – 520m The greyhound
CRYSTAL BLAST performed a satisfactory stewards’ trial over the distance of
520m in a time of 31.86 and is now cleared all tracks except Lismore. |

MAIDEN HEAT 1 431M SUPER
CETTE, GOOD GOLLY OLLY and CHIPPIES were best to begin. LADY GRAND was marginally slow. Immediately after the start LADYLIKE GRACE
was tightened for racing room and became unbalanced between BACK OFF and BIG
HUEY causing both LADYLIKE GRACE and BACK OFF to lose ground. Leaving the turn into the back straight
LADY GRAND shifted out causing MINNIE BLUE to check off its heels and onto
BIG HUEY causing BIG HUEY and MINNIE BLUE to lose ground. Approaching the top turn BIG HUEY shifted
in causing MINNIE BLUE and BACK OFF to be tightened for racing room and check
causing both greyhounds to lose significant ground. Leaving the turn into the front straight
GOOD GOLLY OLLY was impeded and shifted out as a result. |

SKY RACING MAIDEN HEAT
2 431M Even start with the exception of BROKEN YOLK which was
marginally slow. ROSDUE LIVE WIRE, MR.
LEO and DAILY MUSTER raced tight after the start. Leaving the turn into the back straight all
greyhounds with the exception of NINNIE NEGRONI and DAILY MUSTER come
together and checked causing all to lose ground to differing degrees. Approaching the turn into the front
straight ROSDUE LIVE WIRE was impeded causing it to became unbalanced and
lose ground as a result. |

PETER was best to begin. EXPECT LESS
and BONITA DE KAHN were both marginally slow.
Leaving the 1st turn VELOCITY DELFINA was tightened for
racing room and lost ground. Shortly
after BOSSY MISS BELLA and JETTA KNIGHT raced tight causing JETTA KNIGHT to
become unbalanced. |

ALPHA 390 FINANCE 5th GRADE 431M BAILEY BE GOOD was best to begin. Approaching the turn into the back straight
WHO SAID SO was impeded and lost ground.
Shortly after WHO SAID SO checked off heels and lost ground. |

NOVICE 431M The greyhound THUNDER OF FIRE underwent a pre race
veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found and was passed
fit to race. BULLET PASS, VIENNA CALLING and KEAVY were slow to
begin. Approaching the 1st
turn KEAVY stumbled becoming slightly unbalanced and lost ground. In the 1st turn WHINGING WILKO
and MAN OF LEISURE raced tight and bumped on a number of occasions causing
MAN OF LEISURE to lose ground.
MIDNIGHT TO ONE raced wide in the back straight. Approaching the top turn VIENNA CALLING was
tightened for racing room causing it to stumble and lose ground. Leaving the turn into the front straight
BLAZIN’ BLUE and WHINGING WILKO checked. |

KAYPAT LODGE 5th GRADE 431M KISSING CARTER was best to begin. WOOLOOGA, IRISH SPICE, JACOBY RAIDER and
MAMMA’S BOY raced tight and checked at the 1st turn causing all
greyhounds to lose ground to differing degrees. Leaving the turn into the back straight
BUNDY BUCKS was tightened for racing room causing it to stumble and lose
significant ground. KISSING CARTER
checked off heels and lost ground approaching the top turn. FLYING TWISTER and JACOBY RAIDER raced wide
down the front straight. The greyhound BUNDY BUCKS underwent a post race
veterinarian examination and was found to have suffered an injury to the near
side pin and was stood down for a period of 7 days. |

4/5th GRADE 520M Even start with the exception of PRATER’S PROMISE which
was marginally slow. ZINGIBER GUNTUR
was tightened for racing room in the front straight on the 1st
occasion. At the 1st turn
ZINGIBER GUNTUR stumbled and shortened stride and took no further part in the
race. Approaching the top turn MINNIE
MARTINI stumbled becoming unbalanced and lost ground. The greyhound PRATER’S PROMISE underwent a post race
veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found. The greyhound ZINGIBER GUNTAR underwent a post race
veterinarian examination and was found to have suffered an injury to the off
side hock and was humanely euthanised. |

STERNBERG VET SURGEON 4/5th GRADE FINAL 520M Even start. Approaching the 1st turn
STROGANOFF checked off heels and shifted out colliding into SWEET KARMAR and
then onto SWIFT NIMROD which caused STROGANOFF and SWIFT NIMROD to race wide
and lose considerable ground.
Approaching the top turn SWEET KARMAR was tightened for racing room
and lost ground. SWEET KARMAR and PORT
LISA raced tight and bumped on occasion just prior to the finish. The greyhound SWIFT NIMROD underwent a
post race veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found. |

GRADE 431M STAR RISE was best to begin. LIGHTNING WHITE was slow. General tightening between the majority of
the field caused PRATER’S RECRUIT and BURNING OAK to become unbalanced and
lose ground. Approaching the top turn
YOU JANE checked off heels and then checked onto CROWN EDDIE who was trailing
causing both greyhounds to lose ground.
BURNING OAK who was trailing those greyhounds collided with CROWN
EDDIE causing both greyhounds to lose significant ground as a result. |

SKY RACING 5th
GRADE 431M ELLY BYE BYE was best to begin. IMA RUNAWAY and GITCHA HUMMIN’ were both
slow. BARNEY’S BOUNTY, MY GLORIOUS
GAL, BUD’S DELIGHT and KIA BE GOOD came together and checked in the 1st
turn causing BARNEY’S BOUNTY and MY GLORIOUS GAL to be hampered then check
off heels. IMA RUNAWAY and GITCHA
HUMMIN’ who were trailing collided into those greyhounds causing all to lose
considerable ground. Entering the back
straight PARIS QUEEN yielded ground and took no further competitive part in
the race. Approaching the turn into
the front straight MY GLORIOUS GAL was impeded and shifted wide. The greyhound PARIS QUEEN underwent a post race
veterinarian examination and was found to have suffered an injury to the off
side hock and was stood down for a period of 14 days. |
