MAIDEN 431M DODGY
ETHAN was best to begin. HAD BETTER
DAZE and FANCY A BOHERNA were marginally slow. Approaching
the turn out of the back straight, SONIC PEARL was tightened for racing
room. Shortly after HAD BETTER DAZE
checked off heels and became unbalanced as a result. Approaching the top turn, MR. LEO was
tightened for racing room. SONIC PEARL
which was trailing, checked off heels causing HAD BETTER DAZE to be impeded
and to shift wide. The greyhound
HAD BETTER DAZE underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to
have suffered an injury to the off hind leg and was stood down for a period
of 7 days. |

SKY RACING MAIDEN
FINAL 431M BONITA DE KAHN was best to begin. LAYBACK LENNY and WERINA MAGIC were both
marginally slow away. Approaching the
turn into the back straight, BONITA DE KAHN checked off GOLDEN STORM and lost
ground. Shortly after, BLUE GIRL BLUE
and MINNIE BLUE raced tight and checked causing both greyhounds to lose
significant ground. Leaving the turn
into the home straight NO MORE CAKE shifted out and checked into GOLDEN STORM,
causing both greyhounds to lose momentum. |

NOVICE (1) 431M KEAVY and SPRING REINA were
both best to begin. VIKING WHITE and
WHO SAID SO raced tight after the start.
Leaving the turn into the back straight, VIKING WHITE checked off
heels and raced wide as a result.
Approaching the top turn, WHO SAID SO was tightened for racing room
and became unbalanced and lost ground as a result. VIKING WHITE which was trailing was
momentarily impeded and shifted wide and continued to race wide for the
remainder of the race. |

ALPHA 390 FINANCE NOVICE (2) 431M THIS IS LEGIT was marginally slow to begin. Leaving the turn into the back straight,
BIG HUEY checked off heels and lost ground.
MULGOWIE YOWIE and SPORTS WRITER which were trailing were hampered as
a result, with SPORTS WRITER shifting wide and losing significant
ground. Shortly after, THIS IS LEGIT
checked off heels and lost ground. |

5TH GRADE (1) 431M SMALL JEWEL
and MIGHTY NIMROD were both best to begin.
BOGAN DANCER and FROSTY BEJAY were marginally slow. Leaving the turn into the back straight,
FROSTY BEJAY raced wide. Leaving the
turn into the front straight, MIGHTY NIMROD was impeded and shifted out as a
result. The greyhound
MIGHTY NIMROD underwent a post race veterinary
examination and no apparent injuries were found. |

JUST GREYHOUND PHOTOS 5TH GRADE (2) 431M LIL MISSS PINKY was slow to
begin. Approaching the 1st turn
LIL MISS PINKY, THROTTLE ON, BUD’S DELIGHT and CAPTAIN LOUIE raced tight and
checked, with all losing ground to varying degrees. LIL MISS PINKY and YOU JANE raced wide at
the turn into the back straight and through the back straight. Leaving the turn into the front straight,
YOU JANE shifted out and checked into BUD’S DELIGHT resulting in both
greyhounds losing ground. |

MIXED 3/4 431M STAR RISE was best to begin. SPRING LOYAL was marginally slow. Approaching the first turn, SPRING ROY
checked into HONEY HORNET and lost ground as a result. Shortly after at the 1st
turn, SPRING LOYAL, WAYCOL BILL
and SPRING ROY collided, with WAYCOL BILL and SPRING ROY losing considerable
ground and any further competitive chance in the race thereafter. Approaching the top turn, HONEY HORNET
checked off heels and lost ground. The greyhound SPRING ROY underwent a post-race veterinary
examination and no apparent injuries were found. The greyhound
WAYCOL BILL underwent a post-race veterinary examination and found to have
suffered an injury to the near hind leg and was stood down for a period of 7
days. |

WALSH & CO 5TH GRADE 520M SPLENDIFEROUS was best to begin.
SIZEABLE was slow. In the front
straight, on the first occasion, NINPIN, ZAZU’S HEADACHE and GIFTED ANGEL
raced tight, with NINPIN becoming unbalanced and ZAZU’S HEADACHE checking off
heels, losing ground as a result.
Approaching the first turn, SIZEABLE eased and took no further part in
the race. Leaving the turn out of the
front straight, ZAZU’S HEADACHE and GIFTED ANGEL checked. The greyhound SIZEABLE underwent a
post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found. Stewards advised the trainer’s
representative of SIZEABLE, Mr Glenn Carrington, that the greyhound would be
charged under rule 69A Failing to Pursue (First offence) and would be stood
down for a period of 28 Days, Plus complete a satisfactory steward’s trial
over the distance of 431m, all tracks. |

5TH GRADE 431M RACE
9 was delayed by eight (8) minutes due to the boxes malfunctioning and the
lids not opening. All greyhounds were vetted immediately after
being taken out of the boxes and were all passed fit to race. VALKYRIE
NIGHT was best to begin. MR MICKEY and
GOOD DAZE AHEAD, GITCHA HUMMIN’ and PONCHERELLO came together and checked
shortly after the start. Leaving the
turn into the back straight, MR MICKEY, GOOD DAZE AHEAD, PONCHERELLO and
REACTOR raced tight and checked. GITCHA HUMMIN’, which was trailing collided with
those greyhounds and all lost ground to varying degrees. GITCHA HUMMIN’ and PONCHERELLO collided
shortly after, with PONCHERELLO losing significant ground and any further
competitive chance in the race.
Approaching the top turn, GITCHA HUMMIN’ improved onto the hind
quarters of GOOD DAZE AHEAD causing GOOD DAZE AHEAD to lose considerable
ground. The greyhound PONCHERELLO underwent a post
race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found. |

SKY RACING 5PW 431M RACE 10 was put back 8 minutes, due to the delay of Race
9. The boxes were opened manually. FROSTY AJAY was marginally slow to begin. FROSTY AJAY began to yield ground from the
back straight onwards. Leaving the
turn into the front straight, IMA RUNAWAY was impeded and shifted out as a
result. The greyhound GOOD DAZE AHEAD underwent a post race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries
were found. The greyhound
FROSTY AJAY underwent a post race veterinary
examination and was found to have suffered an injury to the off side hock and
was stood down for a period of 10 days. |
