THUG and MINNIE BLUE were both marginally slow to begin.  At the 1st turn, WILDASH KAMILIARO shifted out and impeded FREE PRESS.  Leaving the turn into the back straight, BONITA DE KAHN checked off heels and lost ground.  In the back straight THUG shifted out wide and raced wide until the top turn. Leaving the top turn, BONITA DE KAHN checked off heels and lost ground.  Leaving the turn into the front straight, THUG was impeded and shifted wide as a result.

2.

SKY RACING NOVICE 431M

Race 2 was delayed by approximately 2 minutes because of mechanical issues associated with the lure.

 

 All greyhounds were instructed to go directly to the boxes as a result of the hot weather from this race onwards.

 

UMBREON, NIVEK RETSERROF and BIG HUEY checked immediately after the start, with NIVEK RETSERROF losing ground as a result.  Approaching the first turn NIVEK RETSERROF and BIG HUEY bumped.  Leaving the turn into the back straight NIVEK RETSERROF checked off heels and became unbalanced, losing significant ground as a result.  Leaving the top turn WHO SAID SO stumbled and became unbalanced.  BAILEY BE GOOD and SPRING IVAN raced tight and bumped on occasion over the concluding stages of the race.

NEDGO PRINCESS was best to begin.  The entire field raced tight into the 1st turn, with DODGE ME and MONDELLA checking off heels and losing considerable ground as a result.  Leaving the top turn, REBEL KENNELLY shifted in and collided with NEDGO PRINCESS which in turn checked onto MR. MICKEY causing all to become unbalanced and lose ground.  MONDELLA shifted wide in the front straight.

 

The greyhound DODGE ME underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have suffered an injury to the near hip and was stood down for a period of 10 days.

ALPHA 390 FINANCE 5TH GRADE (2) 431M

Prior to the beginning of race 4 the entire program was put back one race, to allow time to rectify mechanical problems associated with the lure.

 

SUNNY GEORGE was best to begin.  MR RALPH and NIMPIN were both slow.  In the 1st turn BROTHER TREVOR checked off heels and lost ground.  MR. RALPH which was trailing was hampered as a result.  In the back straight BROTHER TREVOR checked off heels and lost significant ground.  Leaving the turn into the front straight NIMPIN was impeded and shifted wide as a result. 

 

The greyhound BROTHER TREVOR underwent a post race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

VIKING RED was best to begin.  TOKEN TOFF was extremely slow.  In the 1st turn BROOKLYN SKYE checked off heels.  Leaving the turn into the back straight MADRE improved onto the hindquarters of SAY ABRACADABRA, causing both greyhounds to lose significant ground as a result.  Approaching the top turn BUD’S DELIGHT checked off heels and lost ground.  BROOKLYN SKYE which was trailing was impeded as a result.  Leaving the turn into the front straight TOKEN TOFF was impeded and shifted wide as a result.

 

The greyhound SAY ABRACADABRA underwent a post race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

JUST GREYHOUND PHOTOS 5TH GRADE (4) 431M

YOU JANE was best to begin. RATHNAIT come up as the lids opened, causing it to lose ground as a result. Leaving the turn into the back straight BENTAXLE was impeded and shifted wide.  In the back straight RATHNAIT checked off heels and lost ground. Approaching the top turn LIL MISS PINKY was tightened for racing room and improved on the hindquarters of YOU JANE causing both greyhounds to lose considerable ground and any competitive chance in the race thereafter.  Leaving the turn into the front straight, LIL MISS PINKY shifted wide and continued wide for the remainder of the race. 

 

The greyhound YOU JANE underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

 

The greyhound LIL MISS PINKY underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

BURNING OAK was marginally slow to begin.  Leaving the turn into the back straight SPRING LOYAL checked off heels and lost ground.  IT’S ABOUT TIME raced wide in the back straight.  BELLA LYNDAN and QUEEN REEN raced tight and bumped on occasion approaching the finish.

GJ WALSH & CO MIXED 3/4 431M

SPRING ROY and IRISH SPICE were both marginally slow to begin.  At the 1st turn GUY FAWKES shifted in sharply and hampered WAYCOL BILL and IRISH SPICE, causing both greyhounds to lose ground as a result.  SPRING ROY which was trailing checked off heels and lost ground.  Approaching the top turn, DAVID LYNDAN was momentarily impeded and became unbalanced.  TEE BE GOOD shifted wide into the front straight and remained wide for the remainder of the race.

GIFTED ANGEL was best to begin.  BASHFUL CLOUD was slow.  THROTTLE ON, SPECIAL COVER and ROI LEAR KAHN raced tight approaching the 1st turn. BASHFUL CLOUD which was trailing, checked off heels and lost ground.  ROI LEAR KAHN and SPECIAL COVER raced tight over the concluding stages of the race.

SKY RACING 5TH GRADE HEAT 2 520M

SHAKEY SHOW was best to begin.  ZAZU’S HEADACHE was slow.  Leaving the turn into the back straight GOTCHA MONEY was tightened for racing room and shifted out around SHAKEY SHOW, checking as it did.  Approaching the top turn the entire field apart from SNOWBALL OTTO raced tight, with ZAZU’S HEADACHE and SHAKEY SHOW checking and losing ground.

 

The greyhound SHAKEY SHOW underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have suffered a back strain and was stood down for a period of 10 days.
