Stewards’ Trial

The greyhound, IT’S A CHARM performed a satisfactory stewards’ trial over a distance of 431m in the time of 25.79 and was cleared to race all tracks 431m.

 

RACE REPORTS

NEW YORK BELL was clearly best to begin.  LOOK AT ME was slow.  Approaching the 1st turn, INFRARED LASS checked into STEALTH KARMAR causing that greyhound to become unbalanced and lose ground.  At the 1st turn, DOUBLE SPUR improved onto the rear of STOP THE IMAGE, causing STOP THE IMAGE to fall.  LOOK AT ME and MINNIE FLASH which were trailing, were severely inconvenienced as a result, with LOOK AT ME, MINNIE FLASH, DOUBLE SPUR and STOP THE IMAGE losing any competitive chance in the race thereafter.

 

The greyhound LOOK AT ME underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

 

The greyhound STOP THE IMAGE underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

 

The greyhound MINNIE FLASH underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have suffered an injury to the off side hind foot and was stood down for a period of 5 days.

JUST GREYHOUND PHOTOS MAIDEN (2) – 520M

BROKEN YOKE, LET’S WIN BILLY and CAESAR’S WARRIOR were best to begin.  HONEY BE GOOD and ONE FOR MICK raced tight and bumped on occasion approaching the 1st turn.  CRAZY BELLA and CAESAR’S WARRIOR raced tight and bumped leaving the turn out of the back straight.  LET’S WIN BILLY and CRAZY BELLA raced tight and bumped on occasion, over the concluding stages of the race.

CATCH ME KEITH was best to begin.  At the 1st turn, SNOWBALL CREED was tightened for racing room and lost ground.  KICKER CREW, which was trailing, was inconvenienced as a result.  WILDASH TOM raced wide in the back straight.  Leaving the top turn, CATCH ME KEITH checked off heels and lost ground, shortly after SNOWBALL CREED, KICKER CREW and BLACK KOALA raced tight causing all to lose momentum and ground as a result.

 

The greyhound WILDASH TOM underwent a post-race veterinary examination and found to have suffered a toe injury to the near side hind leg and was stood down for a period of 14 days.

GJ WALSH & CO MIXED 4/5 – 520M

MR. RALPH and MERLOT HAZE were both marginally slow to begin.  Leaving the turn into the back straight, SPECIAL COVER checked off heels and lost ground.  Approaching the top turn, PONCHERELLO improved onto the hind quarters of NIVEK RETSERROF causing that greyhound to become unbalanced and both NIVEK RETSERROR and PONCHERELLO to lose significant ground.  SPECIAL COVER, which was trailing, was severely inconvenienced as a result and lost considerable ground.

 

The greyhound SPECIAL COVER underwent a post race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

 

 

The greyhound NIVEK RETSERROF underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have suffered an injury to the off side hock and was stood down for a period of 10 days.

VINCE CURRY MEMORIAL MAIDEN IPS (G3) SEMI-FINAL 1 – 520M

FEMME FOLLE was best to begin.  SAINTY BONUS was marginally slow.  Shortly after the start, INFRARED STAR was tightened for racing room and lost ground.  Approaching the turn into the back straight, NIKKI NETTLE and SAINTY BONUS raced tight and bumped, shifting wide as a result.  Shortly after, NIKKI NETTLE improved onto the heels of FEMME FOLLE causing FEMME FOLLE to lose significant ground as a result.

VINCE CURRY MEMORIAL MAIDEN IPS (G3) SEMI-FINAL 2 – 520M

HARA’S STEVO and BEIJING FLING were best to begin.  CINDY’S ANNIE and DOUBLE GEE were slow.  At the 1st turn, HARA’S STEVO improved onto the rear of NAKURU, which stumbled and checked heavily into BRANDI ALEXANDER, which then fell.  HARA’S STEVO and CYNDIE’S ANNIE, which were trailing, were severely inconvenienced and fell as a result.  DOUBLE GEE, which was also trailing, was severely impeded and lost significant ground as a result.

 

The greyhound HARA’S STEVO underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

 

The greyhound CYNDIE’S ANNIE underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

 

The greyhound BRANDI ALEXANDER underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

KENATAY was best to begin.  Approaching the 1st turn, JOKER JOKER shifted wide and checked off the heels of DOUBLE CHIP and lost considerable ground.  DOUBLE CHIP stumbled and lost ground as a result.  Approaching the turn into the back straight, MY GIRL YESSAM stumbled and became unbalanced.  Leaving the turn into the front straight, INFRARED LAD shifted out and checked into JOKER JOKER, causing both greyhounds to lose ground.

ROSE HONEY was best to begin.  Approaching the 1st turn, BUTTERFLY IS SHE stumbled and shifted out.  MONBO BEACH was momentarily impeded and shifted out as a result.  Leaving the turn to the back straight, ALEENA LAD was tightened for racing room.

BUBBLE GUPPY and BAZINGA BENZ were slow to begin.  In the 1st turn, FLAPPING GUMS was tightened for racing room.  Leaving the turn into the back straight, BUBBLE GUPPY checked off heels and lost ground.  Approaching the top turn, JOHN’S LAST checked off heels and lost ground.  Approaching the turn into the back straight, FLAPPING GUMS was impeded and shifted wide as a result.  Leaving the turn into the home straight, FLAPPING GUMS was momentarily impeded and shifted wide as result

 

The greyhound BUBBLE GUPPY underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

10.

SKY RACING 5TH GRADE – 431M

Race 10 was delayed by approximately 1½ minutes to allow time for a televised trotting event to conclude.

WHITE EAGLE was best to begin.  COSMIC LAPTOP and WILDASH NITRO were both marginally slow.  Approaching the 1st turn, COSMIC REVENGE was tightened for racing room and became unbalanced.  Shortly after, WHITE EAGLE was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  DOUBLE SWATZA, which was trailing, checked into WHITE EAGLE and lost ground as a result.  COSMIC REVENGE raced wide in the back straight.  Approaching the top turn, GEMMA BENZ was tightened for racing room and severely checked losing considerable ground as a result.  DOUBLE SWATZA was momentarily impeded just prior to the finish.

 

The greyhound GEMMA BENZ underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.
