Stewards’ Trial |
The greyhound, LEST WE, performed a
satisfactory stewards’ trail, over a distance of 431m, in a time of 26.24,
and is cleared to race all tracks.
The greyhound, ARABIAN SHREDDER, performed a
satisfactory stewards’ trial over a distance of 431m,
in a time of 25.40, and is cleared to race all tracks.
The greyhound, GIRL OVERBOARD, failed to
perform a satisfactory stewards’ trail due to injury acquired to
the near pin (28 days) during the trial, and will be required
to perform a satisfactory stewards’ trail in the future.

1 – 431M NOIRE DREAM
was best to begin. BLACKED OUT was
marginally slow. The field apart from
BLACKED OUT, GOTCHA MOTCHA and NOIRE DREAM came together and checked at the 1st
turn, with all those greyhounds losing ground to varying degrees. Leaving the turn into the back straight RED
HOT GOSSIP was momentarily impeded and lost ground. At the top turn NOIRE DREAM checked off
heels and lost ground. After the
running of Race 1, the track was downgraded from GOOD to SLOW. |

MAIDEN FINAL 520M HARA’S SKYLAH was best to begin. TOPDECK DUK was slow. BRAXTON HAYZE and ATTILA checked approaching
the 1st turn, causing FANCY A BOHERNA which was trailing, to be
hampered. Leaving the 1st
turn POWDER was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground. Shortly after, BRAXTON HAYZE and ATTILA
raced tight and checked losing momentum as they did. Leaving the turn into the back straight,
ROSDUE BARISTA and IMPATIENT KID raced tight, causing both greyhounds to become
unbalanced and lose ground. Shortly
after TOPDECK DUK checked off the rear of IMPATIENT KID and lost significant
ground as a result. Leaving the turn
into the front straight, IMPATIENT KID was impeded and shifted out, hampering
POWDER as it did. POWDER shifted in
just prior to the finish and momentarily impeded HARA’S SKYLAH. The greyhound TOPDECK DUK underwent a post-race
veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found. |

SULZANTI @ STUD NOVICE 520M SPRING WATTLE
was best to begin. THUG was slow. Approaching the turn into the back
straight, CRUX RAMIREZ shifted out and checked into BROTHER DESY, which in turn
checked into DRIVES ME CRAZY causing those greyhounds, especially DRIVES ME
CRAZY, to lose ground. Leaving the
turn into the front straight, CRUZ RAMIREZ stumbled and became unbalanced. |

GARRARD’S HORSE & HOUND NOVICE 520M ODESSA was marginally slow to begin. In the 1st turn, CROWN EDDIE
checked off the rear of IRISH SPICE.
Leaving the turn into the front straight, FOLLOW THE DUK stumbled and
lost significant ground. The greyhound FOLLOW THE DUK underwent a post-race
veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found. |

GALLON @ STUD 5th GRADE 520M CRAWBOURNE BIGRED and HARA’S HUMMER were both marginally
slow to begin. SMOKIN’ ALICE, SPRING
GARY, ORPHAN ANNIE and VEGAS BOY raced tight at the 1st turn,
causing SPRING GARY and VEGAS BOY to be checked and lose ground. |

turn. Approaching the top turn,
RATHNAIT was tightened for racing room and lost ground. |

GRADE FINAL 520M ALLPA MAMA was best to begin. PORT LISA was slow. Approaching the 1st turn, JOHN’S
LAST and LOGAN CITY raced tight and checked.
SPRING LOYAL, which was trailing, checked off heels and lost
ground. Leaving the top turn, ALLPA
MAMA was impeded and lost ground. |

3/4th GRADE 520M FERNVALE RUBY was best to begin. The field, apart from VALKYRIE BLUE and
FERNVALE RUBY, raced tight and checked at the 1st turn, with all
greyhounds losing ground to varying degrees.
Shortly after VALKYRIE BLUE checked off the heels FERNVALE RUBY and
lost ground. Leaving the turn into the
back straight, TEE BE GOOD checked off heels and lost ground. VALKYRIE BLUE, which was trailing, was
severely impeded and lost significant ground as a result. Approaching the top turn, LITTLE ACH CEE
was momentarily impeded and lost momentum. The greyhound VALKYRIE BLUE underwent
a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an injury to the off
hind leg and was stood down for a period of 7 days. |

GRADE 520M GOOD GOLLY OLLY was best to begin. HARA’S HOOK was slow. In the 1st turn, SONNY GEORGE
checked off heels and lost ground.
HARA’S HOOK, which was trailing, checked off the heels of SONNY GEORGE
and lost considerable ground. Leaving
the turn into the back straight, WILDASH WANDERER was tightened for racing
room, checked off heels and commenced to yield ground and take no further
competitive part in the race thereafter.
Leaving the top turn, HARA’S HOOK was hampered. The greyhound WILDASH WANDERER underwent a post-race
veterinary examination and was found to have an injury to the off hind back
muscle and was stood down for a period of 6 weeks. |

tightening resulted in SNOW GIRL and PARIS QUEEN to be checked and lose
ground. Leaving the turn into the back
straight SPRING LOTTIE checked off heels.
BLACK KOALA which was trailing, was severely impeded as a consequence
and lost significant ground. PARIS QUEEN,
which was trailing BLACK KOALA, was also inconvenienced and lost ground as a
result. |
