MAIDEN – 520M NOT
TOO BOSSY and RED HOT SPUR bumped on jumping. Shortly after the start, NOT
TOO BOSSY and RED HOT SPUR bumped. Shortly after the start, ZABDON ZINGER was
tightened for racing room and hampered.
On entering the 1st turn, STEALTH KARMAR, NOT TOO BOSSY,
RED HOT SPUR and CAESER’S WARRIOR all collided, resulting in NOT TOO BOSSY
falling and taking no further competitive part in the event. RED HOT SPUR and
CAESAR’S WARRIOR were checked as a result.
Approaching the finishing line, BOGAN WARRIOR and STEALTH KARMAR
bumped. The
greyhound NOT TOO BOSSY underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no
apparent injuries were found. |

SKY RACING
MAIDEN FINAL – 520M SHINE ANNA began awkwardly and lost ground at the start. BOGAN
LAD was slow to begin. Shortly after
the start, ONE FOR MICK shifted in dictating the running of BOGAN LAD
inwards. On entering the 1st turn, BOGAN LAD and ROCKY SPIES
bumped. Out of the back straight into
the turn, BOGAN LAD and SHINE ANNA collided, resulting in SHINE ANNA being
checked. SHINE ANNA raced wide in the front straight. |

Shortly after the start, APACHE VALLEY and ZIVA’S LASS bumped, resulting
in ZIVA’S LASS losing ground. On
entering the 1st turn, LOST IN ORBIT shifted out colliding with
APACHE VALLEY, which shifted out and collided with JOHN PRINCE, resulting in
all three runners being checked. Out
of the back straight into the turn, APACHE VALLEY and JOHN PRINCE improved
onto the heels of GALWAY ALICE and were forced to shift out to avoid that
runners heels. BEIJING FLING raced
wide in the back and front straights.

KAYPAT LODGE
5PW – 520M SPORTFAN and FARAHMAC were best to begin. Shortly after the start, IMA RUNAWAY was
checked after shifting in and colliding with MUSTANG NOVA. DAB LIVY DAB raced wide through the 1st
turn. Through the turn into the back straight, MUSTANG NOVA checked out across
the heels of SPORTFAN. On entering the back straight, MUSTANG NOVA checked
out across the heels of DAB LIVY DAB.
Out of the back straight into the turn, AGENT’S CHOICE was tightened
for room and eased. The greyhound IMA RUNAWAY underwent a post-race
veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found. When questioned into the performance of IMA RUNAWAY, trainer
Mr R Burman expressed his disappointment in the dog’s performance tonight and
advised stewards’ that IMA RUNAWAY would be retired. |

5TH GRADE (1) – 431M Shortly
after the start, SOFT SAND, GALLON, KYLE THE TANK and CAPTAIN LOUIE were all
tightened for room and checked. Out of
the back straight into the turn, AIR TIME was tightened for room and checked
out across the heels of SKETCHY JACK and collided with FOXY BE GOOD. NO MORE CAKE, which was trailing, collided
with FOXY BE GOOD resulting in both runners being checked. NO MORE CAKE raced wide in the front
straight. The
greyhound FOXY BE GOOD underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no
apparent injuries were found. The
greyhound SKETCHY JACK underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was
found to have sustained an injury to the off side hip and was stood down for
a period of 10 days. |

REBEL was slow to begin. TEE BE GOOD
and FLAPPING GUMS bumped after the start.
Shortly after the start, HESA REBEL contacted the heels of FLAPPING
GUMS and was hampered. Through the
turn into the back straight, REGAL TRAV, ON THE RIZE and PRATER’S RECRUIT all
collided and were checked. Entering the back straight, REGAL TRAV and
PRATER’S RECRUIT bumped. HESA REBEL
raced wide in the back straight. Out of the back straight into the turn,
PRINCESS EMALYS was tightened for room and hampered slightly. |

5TH GRADE FINAL – 520M Shortly
after the start, SLICE OF CAKE was tightened for room and hampered. Approaching the 1st turn,
PHANTOM RAZOR shifted in, tightening the running of BIG TURLS, ELLA GRACIA
and ILLAWONG COWGIRL, resulting in all three runners being checked. VOLKEY, which was trailing, collided with
ELLA GRACIA and was checked. ELLA
GRACIA and BIG TURLS collided, resulting in both runners falling and taking
no further competitive part in the event.
SLICE OF CAKE was checked and was forced out wider on the track as a
result. In the front straight, VOLKEY checked out across the heels of
ILLAWONG COWGIRL. The
greyhound BIG TURLS underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no
apparent injuries were found. The
greyhound ELLA GRACIA underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was
found to have sustained an injury both the hind legs and was stood down for a
period of 7 days. |

SKY RACING
MIXED 4/5 – 520M PRATER’S
PROMISE and KYELLA were best to begin. On entering the 1st turn,
SPLENDIFEROUS shifted out and contacted the heels of PRADA’S PROMISE,
resulting in both runners being checked.
Through the turn into the back straight, both runners again collided,
resulting in SPLENDIFEROUS being checked.
On entering the back straight, SPLENDIFEROUS contacted the heels of
PRATER’S PROMISE, resulting in PRATER’S PROMISE being checked, shifting
outwards and colliding with SPECIAL COVER, which was checked. Out of the back
straight into the turn, SNOWBALL OTTO was tightened for room, and
checked. Shortly after entering the
turn into the front straight, INFRARED LASS and KYELLA bumped. Through the turn into the front straight,
SNOWBALL OTTO and AUSSIE DIAMOND bumped, with both runners being checked. On
entering the front straight, KYELLA shifted out and collided with
SPLENDIFEROUS, which in turn shifted out and collided with INFRARED LASS,
resulting in SPLENDIFEROUS losing ground. The greyhound
SPLENDIFEROUS underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent
injuries were found. |

5TH GRADE ((2) – 431M Upon
activating the lure, the starting boxes malfunctioned and subsequently
opened, releasing the field prematurely. The field completed a lap of the
circuit with stewards’ subsequently declaring Race 9 a “No Race”. HEARTLAND
FLYER collided with another runner after the boxes malfunctioned and injured
its near fore leg. The greyhound HEARTLAND FLYER was subsequently euthanized
on humane grounds. The greyhound
MADAM LOOPSY underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to
have sustained an injury to the near fore toe and was stood down for a period
of 10 days. |

5TH GRADE (3) – 431M CATCH ME
KEITH was best to begin. MYONA ROSE
was slow to begin. MJOLINER and SUEN’S
BOY bumped at the start. On entering
the 1st turn, MYONA ROSE shifted out and bumped SPENDER
BEACH. Through the turn into the back
straight, WILLY TOULA and SASSY OAKS bumped.
Out of the back straight into the turn, WILLY TOULA was tightened for
room and hampered. SPENDER BEACH,
which was trailing, contacted the heels of that runner and was checked. Through the turn into the front straight,
WILLY TOULA was tightened for room and hampered. On entering the front straight, SNOWBALL
CREED shifted out, taking CATCH ME KEITH out wider on the track. |
