of 25.56, and is now cleared to race with blinkers on. The greyhound
BUTTON PUSHER performed a satisfactory stewards’ trial, over a distance of
431m, in a time of 26.0, and is cleared to race all tracks. |

1 – 431M PATCHE DE
KAHN and KRANKY were best to begin.
STORM POWER was marginally slow.
Approaching the 1st turn, VAQUERO and BONITA DE KAHN bumped
and lost momentum as a result. Leaving
the turn into the back straight, ATTILA was tightened for racing room, checked
and lost ground. BONITA DE KAHN, which
was trailing, was momentarily impeded as a result. Approaching the top turn, SPRING RITCHIE
was impeded and lost ground. STORM
POWER raced wide through the turn into the front straight. |

SKY RACING MAIDEN
HEAT 2 – 431M UNIQUE ACTION was marginally slow to begin. RAZZIAI RAIN, WHITE OX and SPUR ON raced
tight and checked at the 1st turn, with COUNT WERINA and SPUR ON
losing ground as a result. Shortly
after, WHITE OX checked off heels and became severely unbalanced, losing
substantial ground as a consequence.
FROSTY BLACK JAY raced wide in the back straight. At the top turn, RAZZIAI RAIN checked off
heels and lost ground. Approaching the
turn into the front straight, COUNT WERINA was tightened for racing room and
lost momentum. The greyhound UNIQUE ACTION underwent a post-race
veterinary examination and was found to have sustained an injury to the off
side pin and was stood down for a period of 10 days. The greyhound WHITE OX underwent a post-race veterinary
examination and no apparent injuries were found. |

HOME was best to begin. The majority
of the field raced tight and checked at the 1st turn, with GRAY
GREY GOOSE, JAKEY BOY and AL BRUTON losing significant ground as a
consequence. Approaching the top turn,
JAKEY BOY checked off heels and lost ground as a result. |

ALPHA 390 FINANCE NOVICE – 431M CRACKERJACK RUBY was best to
begin. NINNIE NEGRONI was marginally
slow. Approaching the 1st
turn, BELL BURTON, REGAL TOPAZ and SIN CITY KITTY raced tight and checked,
with BELL BURTON and SIN CITY KITTY losing ground as a consequence. Leaving the 1st turn, NINNIE
NEGRONI checked off heels and lost considerable ground as a result. Approaching the top turn, SUCCATASH was
tightened for racing room and severely checked, losing significant ground as
a result. HONEY TRAP, which was
trailing, was impeded and checked off heels losing ground. Leaving the turn into the front straight,
SIN CITY KITTY was impeded, shifted out and checked heavily into HONEY TRAP,
causing both greyhounds to lose significant ground as a result. The greyhound SUCCATASH
underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were
found. |

GRADE (1) – 431M MIDNIGHT TO ONE was best to begin. RATHNAIT was
marginally slow. At the 1st
turn, MASTER DEAN checked off heels and lost ground. Leaving the 1st turn, MASTER
DEAN again checked off heels and became severely unbalanced, losing substantial
ground as a consequence, causing it to lose any competitive chance in the
race thereafter. At the top turn,
PARIS QUEEN and SURFBOARD raced tight and checked heavily, losing ground and
momentum as a result. The greyhound RATHNAIT underwent a post-race veterinary
examination and no apparent injuries were found. The greyhound MASTER DEAN underwent a post-race
veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found. |

TREMBATH TYRE REPAIRS 5TH GRADE (2) – 431M ASTIN’S WARRIOR, MONDELLA, NO LAYING BACK and ODESSA were
all best to begin. BUD’S DELIGHT,
WHINGING WILKO and NO LAYING BACK raced tight and checked at the 1st
turn, with WHINGING WILKO and NO LAYING BACK losing ground as a result. LUKE’S WAY and MONDELLA were hampered as a
result of this contact and lost momentum. |

MIXED 4/5 – 431M SAIL SURFER was best to begin. SMALL JEWEL, LUCKMAN and SPRING SAL were
all marginally slow. At the 1st
turn, SAIL SURFER improved onto the rear of LA BAMBA, causing both greyhounds
to become unbalanced and lose momentum.
Leaving the top turn, SPRING SAL was tightened for racing room,
checked off heels and lost ground as a result. |

BUTCHER
CO BEST 8 – 431M DODGY DANCER was marginally slow to
begin. At the 1st turn,
SECOND GEAR was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground. SECOND GEAR raced wide in the back
straight. Approaching the top turn,
SPRING REINA shifted in, which impeded ROAD TO FLAME causing it to check off
heels and lose considerable ground as a consequence. DODGY DANCER, which was trailing, was
hampered and lost momentum. SECOND
GEAR raced wide through the top turn.
Leaving the turn into the front straight, STAR RISE and DODGY DANCER
raced wide and continued to race wide for the remainder of the race
thereafter. |

5TH GRADE (3) – 431M MR. RALPH was slow to begin. Shortly after the start, CLASSY SPRITE was
tightened for racing room and lost ground as a result. In the 1st turn, KEAVY was
tightened for racing room, became unbalanced and lost ground. Leaving the turn into the back straight,
KEAVY checked off heels and lost significant ground as a consequence. |

SKY RACING 5PW – 431M NOIRE CHERIE was best to begin. NOVEMBER FLYER and MADRE were both
marginally slow. Leaving the 1st
turn, ENZO JAZZ was tightened for racing room and lost ground. Approaching the turn into the front
straight, TOKEN TOFF commenced to yield ground and took no further
competitive part in the race thereafter.
CHIPPIES and MULROONEY raced wide through the turn into the front
straight. Leaving the turn into the
home straight, NOVEMBER FLYER shifted out and checked into BROTHER TREVOR,
causing both greyhounds to become unbalanced and to lose ground. The greyhound TOKEN TOFF underwent a post-race veterinary
examination and no apparent injuries were found. Stewards questioned licenced trainer Malcolm Cuneo in
relation to the performance of the greyhound TOKEN TOFF. Mr Cuneo stated he
was very disappointed in the performance of the greyhound over the concluding
stages of the race. Mr Cuneo further stated that the greyhound was out of
form and struggled to find the distance today and he was exploring options to
benefit the greyhound going forward. Stewards noted Mr Cuneo’s explanation
and advised that the greyhound would need to improve on tonight’s effort to avoid
any future penalities. |
