start. Shortly after the start,
SHIFTWELL was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground. Shortly after, ONE WHISPER and SHIFTWELL
collided, causing both greyhounds to be checked and to lose ground. TOP DECK DUK was checked as a result of this
incident and lost ground. Rounding the
turn out of the front straight, TOP DECK DUK and KANOJO collide, resulting in
KANOJO to be checked and to lose ground. The
greyhound KANOJO underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found
to have sustained an injury to the off side hip and was stood down for a
period of 10 days. |

SKY RACING
NOVICE – 520M Even start.
Shortly after the start, REGAL TOPAZ and PHANTOM HOUDINI were both
tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground. Shortly after, SKYLARK BROOKE was tightened
for racing room, checked and lost ground.
In the front straight, on the 1st occasion, SIN CITY KITTY
was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground. Approaching the turn into the back
straight, SKYLARK BROOKE checked across heels and lost ground. SIN CITY KITTY, which was trailing, was
checked as a consequence and lost ground. The greyhound SKYLARK BROOKE underwent a post race
veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found. The
greyhound SIN CITY KITTY underwent a post race veterinary examination and was
found to have sustained an abdominal strain injury and was stood down for a
period of 10 days. |

start. Shortly after the start, BE
FEARLESS and CAN’T POSSIBLY collide, resulting in both greyhounds to be
checked and to lose ground. Through
the 1st turn, PRATER’S RECRUIT, JOHN’S LAST, SPRING MYSTERY and PYRO
BOB were all tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground. Entering the back straight, BE FEARLESS was
tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground. Leaving the back straight, JOHN’S LAST and
BE FEARLESS collide, resulting in BE FEARLESS to be checked and to lose
ground. The greyhound
BE FEARLESS underwent a post race veterinary examination and no apparent
injuries were found. The
greyhound SPRING MYSTERY underwent a post race veterinary examination and was
found to have sustained an injury to the near side shoulder and was stood
down for a period of 10 days. |

MEMORIAL 5TH GRADE HEAT 1 – 520M FARMOR IN TUNE was best to begin.
Shortly after the start, WILDASH TOM was tightened for racing room, shifted out and collided
with SNOWBALL CREED, resulting in both greyhounds to be checked and to lose
ground. In the front straight, on the
1st occasion, BELLA CETTE was tightened for racing room, checked
and lost ground. Leaving the back
straight, BELLA CETTE shifted in and made contact with the running rail and
lost ground. WILDASH TOM raced wide
entering the front straight. The greyhound
BELLA CETTE underwent a post race veterinary examination and no apparent
injuries were found. |

JOHN PAY MEMORIAL 5TH GRADE HEAT 2 – 520M BLUEMENTRIT, TEN GALLON HAT and SNOWBALL OTTO were best
to begin. Shortly after the start,
PORT LISA and RINGBARK MASON were both tightened for racing room, checked and
lost ground. Rounding the turn out of
the front straight, BLUEMENTRIT was tightened for racing room, shifted out,
which checked the running of TEN GALLON HAT and MISS POCKET ACES, resulting
in both greyhounds to lose ground. |

MIXED 4/5 – 520M MONDELLA,
KYLE THE TANK, SMOKIN’ ALICE and MY GLORIOUS GAL were best to begin. Shortly
after the start, PRATER’S SAINT was
tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground. Rounding the turn out of the front
straight, SMOKIN’ ALICE was tightened for racing room, checked and lost
ground. PRATER’S SAINT, which was
trailing, was checked as a consequence and lost ground. Rounding the turn into the front straight,
ARE JAY DEE and HOME LUCK collide. In
the front straight, during the later stages of the race, HOME LUCK shifted
out, turned its head and made muzzle contact with ARE JAY DEE, resulting in
both greyhounds to be checked and to lose ground. The
greyhound SMOKIN’ ALICE underwent a post race veterinary examination and was
found to have sustained an injury to the near side pin and was stood down for
a period of 21 days. Stewards’ advised trainer, Ms M Kuhl, the greyhound HOME
LUCK would be charged under Rule 69 Marring, 2nd Offence, 3 months
and greyhound to perform satisfactory stewards’ trail, over a distance of
520m all tracks. |

as a consequence and lost ground.
Leaving the back straight, ALLPA MAMA was tightened for racing room,

start. Through the 1st
turn, VALKYRIE NIGHT, KUWATI SON and BUNDY BUCKS were all tightened for
racing room, checked and lost ground.
Approaching the turn into the back straight, VALKYRIE NIGHT was
tightened for room, shifted out and collided with BUNDY BUCKS, resulting in
both greyhounds to be checked and to lose ground. Entering the back straight, FARMOR SUSPENSE
was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground. Entering the front straight, FARMOR SUSPENSE
shifted out, which hampered the running of BUNDY BUCKS. Mr J.
Bradely, trainer of NASH TATO was informed of the stewards’ concerns
regarding the greyhound’s actions leaving the back straight. However, after considering all available
evidence, NASH TATO was given the benefit of the doubt if had offended any
rule. The greyhound
FARMOR SUSPENSE underwent a post race veterinary examination and no apparent
injuries were found. |
