satisfactory stewards’ trial, over a distance of 630m, in a time
of 38.08, and is now cleared to race all
tracks.

MAIDEN – 520M SECRET
KEPT, DÉJÀ VU ROCK, EL BAZZA and FIREFLY LAFFEY were all slow to begin. Shortly after the start, FROSTY BLACK JAY bumped
with another runner, shifted outwards and lost ground. DÉJÀ VU ROCK, which was racing to that
runner’s outside, had to check to avoid its heels. Approaching the first turn, SECRET KEPT was
tightened for racing room and checked.
Shortly after, FIREFLY LAFFEY checked off heels. Entering, and through the first turn,
BELLEEK and STOP THE IMAGE bumped on a number of occasions, became
momentarily unbalanced and lost ground as a consequence. Also through the first turn, EL BAZZA was
bumped by another runner, checked and lost ground. Rounding the turn into the back straight,
FROSTY BLACK JAY checked off heels.
Entering the back straight, FIREFLY LAFFEY was tightened for racing
room and checked. In the back
straight, SECRET KEPT raced wide.
Entering the turn out of the back straight, EL BAZZA was tightened for
racing room and checked. FIREFLY
LAFFEY, which was trailing, shifted inwards, made contact with the running
rail and lost considerable ground as a result. BELLEEK raced greenly in the front
straight. The
greyhound FIREFLY LAFFEY underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no
apparent injuries were found. |

SKY RACING
NOVICE – 520M NOT TOO BOSSY
and GALWAY PANTHER were slow to begin.
ROCKY SPIES began awkwardly and was slow to begin as a
consequence. Shortly after the start,
NOT TOO BOSSY was tightened for room, severely checked and lost ground. Entering the first turn, GALWAY ALICE was
tightened for racing room, severely checked and lost ground. ROCKY SPIES, which was trailing, was
checked and shifted out wide as a consequence. GALWAY PANTHER, which was racing to the
outside of ROCKY SPIES, was forced out wide rounding the turn. Through the first turn, STEALTH KARMAR was
bumped by another runner, severely checked and lost ground. NOT TOO BOSSY, which was trailing, collided
with STEALTH KARMAR, resulting in STEALTH KARMAR to be severely checked and
lose further ground. Rounding the turn
into the home straight, STEALTH KARMAR checked off heels. |

5TH GRADE (1) – 431M MAGOOLEY was
marginally slow to begin. Shortly
after the start, MR. BELVEDERE and REGAL WAZ bumped, resulting in both
runners to be momentarily hampered.
Through the first turn, all runners, with the exception of REGAL WAZ
and GITCHA HUMMIN’ were tightened for racing room, resulting in MAGOOLEY and
MR. BELVEDERE to be checked, and SUITE ALEXIS to be severely checked, lose
considerable ground and take no further competitive part in the event. Entering the turn out of the back straight,
WILLY TOULA was tightened for racing room and momentarily hampered. VALKYRIE NIGHT raced wide for the majority
of the event. The greyhound
SUITE ALEXIS underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent
injuries were found. |

start. Shortly after the start, SAGA
NOREN was bumped by another runner and momentarily hampered. Entering the first turn, SAGA NOREN and
THUNDER OF FIRE collided, resulting in both runners to be checked and lose
ground. Rounding the turn into the
back straight, VOLKEY checked off heels.
Entering the turn out of the back straight, DISCO DOLLY was tightened
for racing room and checked. |

5PW – 520M CHIPPIES was very slow to begin.
In the front straight, on the first occasion, GALLON was tightened for
racing room and checked. Shortly after, ALLPA MAMA was tightened for racing
room and momentarily hampered.
Rounding the turn into the front straight, FROST AJAY checked off
heels. CHIPPIES raced wide in the
early and middle stages of the event.

COFFEE AT
RONI’S MIXED 4/5 – 520M Even
start. Shortly after the start, MISS
MINAJ was tightened for racing room and momentarily hampered. In the front straight, on the first
occasion, MR. TERRIFIC checked off heels and lost ground. Entering the first turn, ARDEN STREET
shifted out across the heels of BLUMENTRIT and collided with PRATER’S
PROMISE, resulting in both greyhounds to be severely checked, unbalanced and
forced out wider onto the turn as a consequence. PRATER’S PROMISE fell and took no further
competitive part in the event as a result of this incident. MISS MINAJ, which was trailing those
runners, was severely checked and took no further competitive part in the
event. Rounding the turn into the home
straight, BRIGHT SATELLITE and BLUMETRIT collided, resulting in both runners
to be momentarily hampered. The greyhound
MISS MINAJ underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent
injuries were found. The
greyhound PRATER’S PROMISE underwent a post-race veterinary examination and
was found to have sustained an injury to the hind toes (bruising) and was
stood down for a period of 10 days. The greyhound
ARDEN STREET underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to
have sustained an injury to the near side hip and was stood down for a period
of 10 days. |

5TH GRADE FINAL – 520M EMPIRE REIGN,
SYFY HERO and AFTER GLOW were all best to begin. In the front straight, on the first
occasion, DRAW THE WHIP shifted inwards and bumped REACTOR, causing that
greyhound to shift inwards and bump AFTER GLOW, with REACTOR and AFTER GLOW
being momentarily hampered and losing ground as a result of this incident. FLYING SOVEREIGN, which was trailing,
improved onto the heels of AFTER GLOW, resulting in both greyhounds to be
checked. Entering the turn out of the
back straight, REACTOR was tightened for room and was checked. |

SKY RACING
MIXED 3/4 - 431M NASH TATO was
marginally slow to begin. Approaching
the first turn, READY CETTE and CAWBOURNE BIGRED were both tightened for
racing room, checked and lost ground.
Rounding the turn into the back straight, READY CETTE was tightened
for racing room and momentarily hampered.
Entering the back straight, SWIPE RIGHT sustained and injury and took
no further competitive part in the event.
In the back straight, CAWBOURNE BIGRED had to check to avoid the heels
of SWIPE RIGHT and lost ground as a consequence. ZINCHENKO raced wide for the majority of
the event. The greyhound
SWIPE RIGHT underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to
have sustained an injury to the off side hock and was humanely euthanised. |

start. Shortly after the start, BELLA
CETTE and HONEY TRAP bumped on a number of occasions, were hampered and lost
ground. Through the first turn, GOT
THERE checked off heels. Rounding the
turn into the back straight, HONEY TRAP was tightened for room and
checked. Shortly after, SHAKEY RANDLE
shifted inwards and collided with BELLA CETTE, resulting in BELLA CETTE to be
momentarily hampered and SHAKEY RANDLE to be checked and lose ground. |

5TH GRADE (3) – 431M On jumping
away, GLENREAGH SPIDER shifted out and collided with CHIEF SNOW, resulting in
both greyhounds to be severely checked.
Shortly after the start, GUNLEE ROCKER was tightened for racing room
and momentarily hampered. Entering the
first turn, GIFTED ANGEL was tightened for racing room and checked. GUNLEE ROCKER, which was trailing, and
WHITE EAGLE running to its outside, were both checked as a consequence. Rounding the turn into the back straight,
GLENREAGH SPIDER checked off heels.
Entering the back straight, GIFTED ANGEL was tightened for racing room,
checked and lost ground. Entering the
turn out of the back straight, GIFTED ANGEL improved onto the heels of
GLENREAGH SPIDER, resulting in both runners to be checked. Entering the home
straight, GUNLEE ROCKER checked off heels.
