MAIDEN – 520M Even
start, with the exception of PHAROAH’S GOLD and APPLAUD ME which were both
marginally slow to begin. Leaving the
front straight, RING HIM, NITRO NORMA, NEVER and LADYLIKE GRACE all received
interference, which resulted in LADYLIKE GRACE to be severely checked and
took no further part in the race, with RING HIM and NEVER losing considerable
ground. Leaving the back straight,
PHAROAH’S GOLD improved onto the heels and lost ground. Approaching the turn into the front
straight, APPLAUD ME received interference and lost ground. PHAROAH’S GOLD, which was trailing, was
checked as a result of this incident and lost ground. Mr
B Kline, the trainer of NITRO NORM was advised that stewards’ had concerns
with his greyhound’s actions rounding the turn into the front straight. After considering all available evidence,
NITRO NORM was given the benefit of the doubt if it had offended under any
rule. The
greyhound NEVER underwent a post race veterinary examination and no apparent
injuries were found. The
greyhound LADYLIKE GRACE underwent a post race veterinary examination and no
apparent injuries were found. |

JUST
GREYHOUND PHOTOS NOVICE – 520M Even start.
Shortly after the start, GALWAY CHEETAH and MIA’S KARMAR all raced
tight. Rounding the turn out of the
front straight, GALWAY PANTHER become awkward and lost ground. Entering the back straight, UNIQUE LEIGH
improved onto the hindquarters of STEALTH KARMAR, resulting in that greyhound
to be checked and to lose ground.
GALWAY CHEETAH and GALWAY PANTHER both raced wide in the back
straight. The greyhound GALWAY PANTHER underwent a post race
veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found. The greyhound STEALTH KARMAR underwent a post race veterinary
examination and was found to have sustained a near hind laceration injury and
was stood down for a period of 10 days. |

start. Leaving the front straight,
INDIAN GIVER, FLYING SOVEREIGN, DRAW THE WHIP, GET MESSI and GOT THERE all
received interference and were checked to varying degrees. Entering the back straight, FLYING
SOVEREIGN was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground. Leaving the back straight, KULU EAGLE was
tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground The greyhound
KULU EAGLE underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have
sustained an injury to the near side wrist and was stood down for a period of
10 days. . |

RQ YOUNG
GUNS IPS OPEN HEAT 1 – 520M Even start. ROSDUE
SHAKA commenced to give ground in the front straight, to finish a
considerable distance from the remainder of the field. Rounding the turn out of the front straight,
SNOWBALL CREED, GLENREAGH SKUD and SILVER STUNNER received interference and
lost ground. DEEP IMPACT commenced to
give ground in the back straight finishing a considerable distance from the
remainder of the field. GLENREAGH SKUD
was tightened for racing room leaving the back straight, and lost
ground. The greyhound CRAZY BELLA underwent a post race
veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found. The greyhound
ROSDUE SHAKA underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to
have sustained an injury to the near side knee and was stood down for a period
of 21 days. The greyhound
DEEP IMPACT underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to
have sustained an injury to the off side metacarpal and was stood down for a
period of 28 days. |

slipped on the mat shortly after the start and lost ground. Leaving the front straight, DÉJÀ VU shifted
in, contacted the running rail and lost ground. Rounding the turn out of the front
straight, REGAL EMERALD, GEORGIE MAC and GLENREAGH IKARA all sustained
interference and lost ground. The greyhound DÉJÀ VU ROCK underwent a post race veterinary examination
and no apparent injuries were found. |

Shortly after the start, CASH POINT was tightened for racing room,
checked and lost ground. Rounding the
turn out of the front straight, HOT EMBER, SAMBUCCA HAYZE, GLENREAGH SPIDER
and CASH POINT all sustained interference, resulting in HOT EMBER and CASH
POINT to be severely checked and fell, GLENREAGH SPIDER and SAMBUCCA HAYZE to
be severely checked and lose considerable ground. Approaching the turn into the front
straight, BLUMENTRIT was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground. The greyhound CASH POINT underwent a post race veterinary
examination and no apparent injuries were found. The greyhound
HOT EMBER underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have
sustained an injury to the near hind toe and was stood down for a period of
10 days. |

GUNS IPS OPEN HEAT 4 – 520M The “all
clear” of this race was delayed to allow the opportunity of the trainer of
the 3rd placed greyhound, SNOWBALL OTTO to view the official photo
finish. After viewing the photo, Mr
Dionysius was satisfied and the “all clear” was given. Even start,
with the exception of YEAH OKAY which was slow to begin. Leaving the front straight, RED HOT SPUR
was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground. Shortly after, SYMI SUMMER was tightened
for racing room, checked and lost ground.
Rounding the turn out of the front straight, RED HOT SPUR and BULLSEYE
DOUBT collided, resulting in both greyhounds to be checked and to lose
ground. YEAH OKAY, which was trailing,
was checked as a consequence and lost ground.
Rounding the turn into the front straight, PROPER GENT and DOUBLE CHIP
collide. |

GRAND PRIX OPEN FINAL – 732M Even start,
with the exception of PORT LISA which was slow to begin. PORT LISA raced awkwardly leaving the back
straight, on the 1st occasion, and lost considerable ground. The greyhound
PORT LISA underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have
sustained an injury to the near side wrist and was stood down for a period of
10 days. |

5TH GRADE – 520M Even start,
with the exception of REACTOR and CLICK COWAN which were both marginally slow
to begin. In the front straight, on
the 1st occasion, BUTTERFLY IS SHE checked across heels and lost
ground. AUSSIE DIAMOND, which was
trailing, was checked as a consequence, shifted in and tightened the racing
room of GALLON, REACTOR and CLICK COWAN, resulting in all greyhounds to lose
ground. Entering the front straight,
GALLON and CLICK COWAN bumped on a number of occasions. |
