1 – 431M ARCHIE
MARSHALL and EYE LIKE CAKE were both best to begin, with EARLY SETTLER and
BAN CHI BABY slow. At the 1st
turn, ARCHIE MARSHALL and EYE LIKE CAKE bumped. Shortly after, EARTH SHAKE was tightened
for racing room, shifted out and collided with SILVER LUX, causing both
greyhounds to lose considerable ground.
EARLY SETTLER, NITRO NORMA and GITCHA DESTINY raced tight at the top
turn, with EARLY SETTLER advancing on the inside resulting in NITRO NORMA and
GITCHA DESTINY to be hampered, shift out and lose ground. ARCHIE MARSHALL and EYE LIKE CAKE, which
were trailing, were severely impeded as a result, causing ARCHIE MARSHALL to
fall and take no further competitive part in the race, and GITCHA DESTINY and
EYE LIKE CAKE to lose substantial ground.
EARTH SHAKE, which was trailing, was also severely inconvenienced and
lost considerable ground as a result. Stewards’
spoke with licensed trainer, Mr C Cassidy, in relation to the support that
the greyhound EARLY SETTLER received in the 1st race. Mr Cassidy stated that the greyhound had
trialled well at Ipswich 2 weeks prior, and that he had supported the
greyhound today and was confident considering it drew the box 1. Mr CASSIDY
further stated the greyhound is a dog that enjoys racing to the rails which
made him even more confident in today’s race. The greyhound
ARCHIE MARSHALL underwent a post race veterinary examination and no apparent
injuries were found. The greyhound

SKY RACING MAIDEN
HEAT 2 – 431M BALLYMAC JAY was best to begin, ROSIE GAZE was very
slow. Shortly after the start, DAVE
THE RAVE, BERGARI, EYE HATE CAKE and OUTBACK ILLUSION came together and
checked. Leaving the turn into the
back straight, DAVE THE RAVE checked off heels and shifted out, which
severely impeded BERGARI, and also inconvenienced EYE HATE CAKE and OUTBACK
ILLUSION, which were all racing to its outside. OUTBACK ILLUSION raced wide through the top
turn. |

MAIDEN HEAT 3 – 431M GALWAY CLARA
and RIO BRAVE were both best to begin.
Immediately after the start, VERA CHARM was tightened for racing room
and lost ground. In the 1st
turn the entire field, with the exception of RIO BRAVE, COST A PENNY and VERA
CHARM, came together and collided.
GALWAY CLARA fell as a result of that contact and took no further
competitive part in the race. VERA
CHARM, which was trailing, was also inconvenienced. At the top turn, OUTBACK MANDRAKE was
tightened for racing room, checked off heels and lost ground. Approaching the turn into the front
straight, LITTLE LIL was impeded and lost momentum. Leaving the turn into the front straight,
MAD ELLY DEE shifted out and bumped into COST A PENNY. The greyhound
GALWAY CLARA underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to
have an injury to the near hind leg and was stood down for a period of 14
days. |

ALPHA 390 FINANCE MAIDEN FINAL – 431M FELICI BEACH and HARDLY NORMAL
were both best to begin. Approaching
the 1st turn, RING HIM, SPRING RITCHIE and FARMOR INFERNO raced
tight, resulting in SPRING RITCHIE to be tightened for racing room and lose
ground. Shortly after, STORM POWER and
HARDLY NORMAL raced tight and checked, causing HARDLY NORMAL to become
unbalanced and lose ground. POWDER,
which was racing to its outside, was inconvenienced, checked and lost
ground. In the back straight, HARDLY
NORMAL was momentarily impeded and lost momentum. Approaching the top turn, STORM POWER
shifted in which hampered RING HIM, causing that greyhound to lose
ground. SPRING RITCHIE, which was
trailing, was impeded, checked off heels and lost ground. Leaving the top turn, HARDLY NORMAL was
hampered and lost momentum.
Approaching the turn into the back straight, STORM POWER checked off
heels, shifted out sharply and collided with FARMOR INFERNO, causing both
greyhounds to race wide and lose ground.
Leaving the turn into the front straight, SPRING RITCHIE and HARDLY
NORMAL checked, causing both greyhounds to lose ground. SPRING RITCHIE and POWDER raced tight over
the concluding stages of the race. The greyhound HARDLY NORMAL
underwent a post race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were
found. |

marginally slow. Approaching the 1st
turn, LITTLE LUCK checked off heels and lost ground. Shortly after, GALWAY WOLFGANG and DOREAS
checked, causing DOREAS to lose ground.
Approaching the top turn, SPRING FESTIVAL and APACHE VILLA raced tight
and checked. Shortly after, SPRING
REBEL shifted in, which impeded GALWAY WOLFGANG which checked off heels and
lost considerable ground. DOREAS,
which was trailing that greyhound, collided into the rear of GALWAY WOLFGANG
and lost considerable ground. Shortly
after, LITTLE LUCK, which was trailing DOREAS, was impeded checked off heels
and lost ground. The greyhound GALWAY WOLFGANG underwent a post race
veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found. |

TRUCK PARTS EXPRESS 5TH GRADE (1) – 431M REAL JAZZ was best to begin, ZILLIE BEAN was slow. Approaching the 1st turn, WHIPPY
MIDGET and FARMOR SUSPENSE were both tightened for racing room, checked and
lost ground. ZILLIE BEAN, which was
trailing, was inconvenienced and lost ground. Leaving the 1st
turn, FARMOR SUSPENSE and ZILLIE BEAN collided, resulting in FARMOR SUSPENSE
losing substantial ground. At the top
turn, WERINA MAGIC and SPRING WINE raced tight and checked, causing SPRING
WINE to lose momentum. Leaving the top
turn, GOOD GOLLY OLLY was momentarily impeded and lost momentum. Leaving the turn into the front straight,
SPRING WINE improved onto the heels of WERINA MAGIC, causing WERINA MAGIC to
become unbalanced and lose ground. The greyhound WERINA MAGIC underwent a post race veterinary
examination and no apparent injuries were found. |

5TH GRADE (2) – 431M TRY COMB and WILDASH CECIL were both best to begin. Shortly after the start, GOOD DAZE AHEAD
and MY GLORIOUS GAL were tightened for racing room and lost ground. Leaving the 1st turn, MY
GLORIOUS GAL and GOT THERE bumped, causing GOT THERE to shift wide through
the turn and lose ground. Approaching
the top turn, WILDASH CECIL shifted in, causing TRY COMB to check off heels,
become unbalanced and lose considerable ground. Shortly after, TRY COMB and VELOCITY ONYX
checked. Leaving the turn into the
front straight, TRY COMB and MY GLORIOUS GAL raced tight, shortly after MY
GLORIOUS GAL checked off heels, causing both TRY COMB and MY GLORIOUS GAL to
lose ground. The greyhound TRY COMB underwent a post race veterinary
examination and no apparent injuries were found. |

AT RONI’S MIXED 3/4TH GRADE – 431M SPRING REINA and BARNEY BE GOOD were
both best to begin. GET SHORTY and
HONEY TRAP were both marginally slow.
In the back straight, GET SHORTY shifted out, which momentarily
impeded FARAHMAC and caused it to lose ground. Approaching the turn into the front
straight, SPRING WATTLE and GET SHORTY raced tight and checked, causing
SPRING WATTLE to become unbalanced and lose considerable ground. Shortly after, LITTLE DOTTY TOO shifted out
off heels. |

5TH GRADE (3) – 431M KOWBOY DE KAHN was marginally slow to begin. Approaching the 1st turn, GIFTED
ANGEL was tightened for racing room and lost ground. In the 1st turn, KALANI KARL and
KOWBOY DE KAHN bumped, causing KOWBOY DE KAHN to lose ground. Leaving the turn into the back straight,
MAN OF LEISURE was tightened for racing room and lost momentum. Approaching the top turn, KOWBOY DE KAHN
and MAN OF LEISURE were impeded and lost ground. Leaving the top turn, KOWBOY DE KAHN checked
off heels. |
