Best away was MASTER SHADOW, with STORM POWER and GOTCHA GIFT slowly away. Entering the back straight, FROSTY BLACK JAY checked off the heels of BIG MAN RUSTY. In the back straight, BIG MAN RUSTY and MAD ELLY DEE collide, causing BIG MAN RUSTY to drop back. Entering the turn out of the back straight, MAD ELLY DEE and GOTCHA GIFT collide. Entering the home straight, MASTER SHADOW and GOTCHA GIFT collide.

Race 2 – SKY RACING NOVICE – 431M

Best away was ORACLE KATE, with SUCCATASH and CLEO NOT CHLOE slowly away. Soon after the start, ONE WHISPER and PRINCESS WERINAL collide. Entering the back straight, ONE WHISPER, PRINCESS WERINA and BROKEN YOLK all collide. In the back straight, CLEO NOT CHLOE was wide. In the home straight, LITTLE LUCK was wide.
