Race 1 – PAUL DOLAN APPRECIATION STAKE MAIDEN – 520M
Even start, with SONIC BOOM and IVY’S BOUQUET
marginally slow. Approaching the 1st
turn, SONIC BOOM and GRU raced tight, at the same time WHAT A DIVA shifted out
checking FROSTY BLACK JAY and IVY’S BOUQUET.
In the 1st turn, IVY’S BOUQUET and FROSTY BLACK JAY
collided. In the top turn, SONIC BOOM,
NEVER and GITCHA LOADED collided, causing all greyhounds to lose ground to differing
degrees. Entering the front straight,
SONIC BOOM and GITCHA LOADED bumped. In
the front straight, FROSTY BLACK JAY raced wide.
The greyhound SONIC BOOM underwent a post-race
veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.
The
greyhound NEVER underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to
have sustained an injury to the off side shoulder and was stood down for a
period of 10 days.
Race 2 – GREYHOUND ADOPTION PROGRAM NOVICE – 520M
REGAL
SAPPHIRE was best to begin. Shortly
after the start, GITCHA DESTINY and INFRARED LAD raced tight, causing GALWAY
PANTHER to be checked, and all greyhounds to lose ground. Approaching the turn into the front straight,
WERINA ROCKET clipped heels. Entering
the front straight FARMOR INFERNO and INFRARED LAD collided.
The
greyhound GITCHA DESTINY underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was
found to have sustained an injury to the off side hip support and was stood
down for a period of 10 days.

GRADE – 520M
HARA’S
FLAME was best to begin. Approaching the
1st turn, DOLLAR AND CENT was tightened for racing room, causing it
to shift out and check DEMON FURY, and both greyhounds lose ground. Rounding the turn into the back straight,
SAIL SURFER and ROI LEAR KAHN collided.
Race 4 – SKY RACING 5TH GRADE – 520M
Even
start. Shortly after the start, NOT TOO
BOSSY and HARA’S DAZZA bumped.
Approaching the 1st turn, NOT TOO BOSSY got onto the
hindquarters of STOP THE IMAGE, resulting in SURFBOARD to be checked and all
greyhounds to lose ground. In the top
turn, SURFBOARD and SHINE ANNA collided.
Leaving the top turn, STOP THE IMAGE and NOT TOO BOSSY bumped.
Race 5 – TRUCK PARTS EXPRESS MIXED 4/5TH GRADE –
431M
ELLY
BYE BYE was best to begin. Shortly after the start, UNDER ADVICE and
PRATER’S RECRUIT bumped. Leaving the 1st
turn, PRATER’S RECRUIT and AZA ZEUS collided.
Race 6 – IPSWICH DERBY OPEN FINAL – 520M
REGAL
RECALL was best to begin, with RIO BRAVE marginally slow. In the 1st turn, ARCH RIVAL,
DOUBLE SPUR, BIG HERO SIX, INFRARED STAR and HARA’S SURF collided, causing
HARA’S SURF to lose ground and BIG HERO SIX and INFRARED STAR to fall and give
no further competitive part in the race.
The
greyhound INFRARED STAR underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no
apparent injuries were found.
The
greyhound BIG HERO SIX underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was
found to have sustained abrasions to the off side hind and was stood down for a
period of 5 days.
Race 7 – PAST MEMBERS TROPHY OPEN FINAL – 630M
Even
start. Approaching the 1st turn TOPAZ TAN and CHAMPAGNE SALLY
causing CHAMPAGNE SALLY to be checked and lose ground. Entering the front
straight on the 1st occasion TOPAZ TAN and CHAMPAGNE SALLY collided,
PHANTOM PETE was checked as a result and all greyhounds lost ground. Entering
the back straight CHAMPAGNE SALLY clipped heels. In the top turn RING HIM hit
the running rail and lost ground.
The
greyhound CHAMPAGNE SALLY underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no
apparent injuries were found.
The
greyhound RING HIM underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent
injuries were found.
Stewards’
questioned licensed trainer, Mr R Burman, on the performance of CHAMPAGNE
SALLY, where he stated that he did not support the greyhound and expected to
win, but the interference in the race was the reason for its performance.
Race 8 – IPSWICH FUTURITY OPEN FINAL – 520M
Even start. Shortly after the jump, BRANDI ALEXANDER
knuckled over. Shortly after the start,
LOVE THE LOOK, HOT EMBER and GIVE IT SOME collided. Approaching the 1st turn, MONEY
FOR JAM, LOVE THE LOOK and REGAL JADE collided.
In the 1st turn, RED HOT GOSSIP clipped heels. Entering the
back straight, GIVE IT SOME clipped heels, forcing HOT EMBER to shift out and
both greyhounds to race wide. In the top
turn, RED HOT GOSSIP was tightened for racing room.
Race 9 – WWW.IPSWICHGREYHOUNDS.COM 5TH GRADE (1)
– 431M
PRATER’S PROMISE and
REACTOR were best to begin. Shortly
after the start, SLEEK STYLE, WILLY TOULA and VAQUERO raced tight. In the 1st turn, SASSY OAKS, SLEEK
STYLE, VAQUERO and KYLE THE TANK all collided.
Entering the back straight, VAQUERO and KYLE THE TANK bumped. Leaving the top turn, WILLY TOULA and KYLE
THE TANK collided. In the front
straight, VAQUERO raced wide.
Race 10 – COFFEE AT RONI’S 5TH GRADE (2) – 431M
HONEY’S PRINCESS and
BIG HUEY were best to begin. Entering the 1st turn, CLEO NOT CHLOE,
BIG HUEY and WICKLA collided. Entering
the back straight, MOOSE MAN and FARMOR SUSPENSE collided, causing MOOSE MAN to
lose ground, and FARMOR SUSPENSE to fall and give no further competitive part in
the race. In the front and back
straight, CLEO NOT CHLOE raced wide.
The greyhound MOOSE MAN
underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were
found.
The
greyhound FARMOR SUSPENSE underwent a
post-race veterinary examination and was found to have sustained bruising to
the near fore stopper and was stood down for a period of 7 days.
