Race 1 – GREYHOUND ADOPTION PROGAM MAIDEN – 431M
Shortly
after the start, TUTA SINGLE ONE and STRAIT RUM collide. LADYLIKE GRACE commenced to give ground
through the 1st turn, to finish a considerable distance from the
remainder of the field. Rounding the
turn into the back straight, LOW IMPACT was tightened for racing room, checked
and lost ground. STRAIT RUM raced wide in the back straight. Leaving the back straight, MEERKAT WARRIOR
checked across heels and was momentarily hampered.
The
greyhound LADYLIKE GRACE underwent a post race veterinary examination and was
found to have sustained an injury to the stomach muscle and was stood down for
a period of 21 days.
Race 2 – SKY RACING NOVICE (1) – 431M
MY
BOUQUET, SUCCATASH and SHIELD ME were slow to begin. Approaching the turn into the back straight,
SPRING RUSSELL and WERINA ROCKET collide.
SUCCATASH commenced to give ground in the back straight, to finish a
considerable distance from the remainder of the field. Approaching the turn into the front straight,
WERINA ROCKET improved onto heels and was checked as a consequence.
The
greyhound SUCCATASH underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found
to have sustained an injury to the off side hip and was stood down for a period
of 21 days.

Approaching
the turn into the back straight, RAPID MAIL improved onto heels and was
momentarily hampered. In the back
straight, RAPID MAIL checked across heels and was hampered. Entering the front straight, RAPID MAIL
checked across heels and lost ground.
Race 4 – ALPHA 390 FINANCE MIXED 4/5TH GRADE –
520M
Leaving
the front straight, SURGENIE was tightened for racing room, checked and
collided with HOT EMBER, which in turn shifted out and collided with LA BAMBA,
resulting in both HOT EMBER and LA BAMBA to lose considerable ground. Rounding the turn into the front straight,
SURGENIE checked across heels and lost ground.

I’M
HERE was slow to begin. Through the 1st
turn, SPRING SHELLEY was tightened for racing room, checked and lost
ground. Entering the back straight, I’M
HERE, SPRING WINE and NIVEK RETSERROF all collide, resulting in NIVEK RETSERROF
to be severely checked, fall, and take no further part in the race. I’M HERE and SPRING WINE were severely
checked and lost ground.
The
greyhound NIVEK RETSERROF underwent a post race veterinary examination and was
found to have sustained an injury to the off side hip and was stood down for a
period of 10 days.
The
greyhound I’M HERE underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found
to have sustained an injury to the near hind toe and was stood down for a
period of 10 days.
Race 6 – TREMBATH TYRE REPAIRS 5TH GRADE (2) –
431M
Shortly
after the start, SPRING BENNY and MISS FERNANDO collide, resulting in both
greyhounds to be checked. Through the 1st
turn, SPRING FESTIVAL and SPRING BENNY were tightened for racing room, checked
and lost ground. Rounding the turn into
the back straight, MISS FERNANDO collided with SPRING BENNY, resulting in that
greyhound to be severely checked, lose considerable ground and take no further
part in the race. Through the 1st
turn, ALPHA DAENERYS and ALPHA HESTIA were both tightened for racing room,
checked and lost ground. Entering the
back straight, ALPHA HESTIA and MISS FERNANDO collide.
The
greyhound SPRING BENNY underwent a post race veterinary examination and was
found to have sustained an injury to the off side stifle and was humanely euthanised.

FINAL – 520M
NOTORIOUS
HERO, JAYCEE’S LADY and CHIPPIES were all slow to begin. Rounding the turn out of the back straight,
NOTORIOUS HERO checked across heels and lost ground.
Race 8 – BUTCHER CO BEST 8 – 431M
Through the 1st
turn, JETTA KNIGHT and ROYAL PRIZE were tightened for racing room, checked and
lost ground. KYLE THE TANK, which was
trailing, was checked as a consequence and lost ground.

431M
The start of Race 9 was delayed when BROTHER TREVOR proved
hard-to-box. The greyhound will be given
one more chance to be boxed in the desired manner.
Shortly after the
start, BROTHER TREVOR, SMART WERINA, HAD BETTER DAZE all raced tight. HAD BETTER DAZE lost ground as a result of
this incident. Through the 1st
turn, SMART WERINA and WILDASH CECIL collide, resulting in WILDASH CECIL to be
checked and lose ground.
The greyhound HAD
BETTER DAZE underwent a post race veterinary examination and no apparent
injuries were found.
Race 10 – GREYHOUND OF YEAR 2009 – IMA DESIGN 5PW – 431M
CLICK COWAN was slow to
begin. ELOISE raced wide in the back
straight. Approaching the turn out of
the back straight, CLICK COWAN was tightened for racing room, checked and lost
ground. Entering the front straight,
MAMMA’S BOY and CLICK COWAN bump. In the
front straight, LITTLE LUCK and ELOISE raced wide.
The
greyhound ELOISE underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to
have sustained an injury to the near pin and was stood down for a period of 10
days.
