Race 1 – ADOPT A GREYHOUND MAIDEN (1) – 288M
BRAINS
TRUST and MISSY ROSE were best to begin.
CAUSEWAY BUD was marginally slow.
Approaching the 1st turn, GITCHA GLORY shifted out and
improved onto the heels of BLUE THUNDER BUD, causing that greyhound to shift
out. ZIPPING CRONK, which was trailing,
collided into the rear of BLUE THUNDER BUD and fell as a consequence. In the top turn, BRAINS TRUST was tightened
for racing room and lost ground. Shortly
after, BRAINS TRUST checked off heels and lost ground. Leaving the 1st turn, DEVIL FISH
shifted out and checked LAURASH ACTION, causing that greyhound to become
severely unbalanced and lose ground.
BLUE THUNDER BUD, which was trailing, collided heavily into LAURASH
ACTION, with both greyhounds losing significant ground as a result. Leaving the turn into the front straight MISSY
ROSE shifted out, then collided into the rear of DEVIL FISH , resulting in
MISSY ROSE becoming severely unbalanced and to losing considerable ground. Shortly after, GITCHA GLORY shifted in, which
momentarily impeded CAUSEWAY BUD.
The
greyhound BLUE THUNDER BUD underwent a post race veterinary examination and no
apparent injuries were found.
The
greyhound ZIPPING CRONK underwent a post race veterinary examination and no
apparent injuries were found.

RUSSIAN ROULETTE was
best to begin, FIRE STATION was slow.
The majority of the field raced tight through the 1st turn,
with MISS EMMY checking off heels, shifting out and checking into RUSSIAN
ROULETTE. RUSSIAN ROULETTE then shifted
out and checked into BUD’S MILLAR, which was trailing, then shortly after
improved onto the heels of that greyhound, causing both greyhounds to lose
considerable ground. Approaching the
turn into the front straight, NO CONFIDENCE was impeded and shifted out. Leaving the turn into the front straight,
TIMELY RICKSHAW, NO CONFIDENCE and FIRE STATION all checked and lost
momentum. FEAR ROBERT commenced to yield
ground over the concluding stages of the race.
The
greyhound FEAR ROBERT underwent a post race veterinary examination and was
found to have sustained an injury to the near hind foot and was stood down for
a period of 10 days.
Race 3 – SKY RACING NOVICE – 288M
BERGARI
was best to begin, POOR PAW was marginally slow. Approaching the 1st turn, FARMOR
SHADY improved onto the rear of HONEY BE GOOD, causing that greyhound to become
severely unbalanced and to lose ground.
FARMOR SHADY then collided heavily into the rear of HONEY BE GOOD and
both greyhounds fell as a consequence.
FEAR BETTY and POOR PAW, which were trailing, were both inconvenienced
and lost considerable ground.
The
greyhound HONEY BE GOOD underwent a post race veterinary examination and no
apparent injuries were found.
The
greyhound FARMOR SHADY underwent a post race veterinary examination and no
apparent injuries were found.

JUST
LIKE YAZZA was best to begin.
Approaching the 1st turn, JUST LIKE YAZZA shifted in and
collided into ZABDON MCGREGOR, causing JUST LIKE YAZZA to lose significant
ground as a result. Shortly after, BROKE
EVEN improved onto the rear of BETTY’S SON, then shifted out and collided into
KYEEKY, causing those greyhounds to lose considerable ground. Leaving the turn into the front straight,
BETTY’S SON shifted out and raced wide, which momentarily impeded KYEEKY,
causing that greyhound to race wide also.
Race 5 – KAYPAT LODGE 5TH GRADE (2) – 288M
The start of Race 5 was
delayed by approximately 15 seconds because of the box manner of KAWATI
SON. Consequently, the greyhound was
declared hard-to-box.
MIDNIGHT
TO ONE was marginally slow to begin.
Approaching the 1st turn, MIDNIGHT TO ONE shifted out and
collided with KAWATI SON, causing both those greyhounds to lose considerable
ground. In the 1st turn BAILEY BE GOOD checked off heels and lost
ground. Approaching the turn into the
front straight, HONEY’S PRINCESS was tightened for racing room, impeded and
lost momentum. Midway in the front
straight, FARMOR EFFECTED and JIGGLE SPLAT raced tight and checked.
The
greyhound KAWATI SON underwent a post race veterinary examination and no
apparent injuries were found.

FOLLOW
THE DUK was best to begin. Shortly after
the start, DREAMING DORA was tightened for racing room, checked and lost
ground. Approaching the 1st
turn, KEY FACTOR shifted in, which impeded BRAYSTONES BEACH, who then checked
off heels and lost considerable ground. RAZZIAI
RAIN raced wide through the 1st turn, and continued the race wide
for the remainder of the race. Leaving
the 1st turn, SHADOWLAND was impeded and lost momentum.
Race 7 – GREG STERNBERG VET SURGEON MIXED 3/4TH
GRADE – 288M
STAR
RISE was best to begin, GITCHA ALLEY was slow.
Approaching the 1st turn, STAR RISE was tightened for racing
room and lost momentum. Shortly after,
DESTINI PEGASUS improved onto the rear of STAR RISE, causing both those
greyhounds to lose considerable ground.
In the 1st turn, BARNEY BE GOOD and PRINCESS EMALYS were both
tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground. DODGY DANCER raced wide through the 1st
turn, and continued wide for the remainder of the race.
The
greyhound PRINCESS EMALYS underwent a post race veterinary examination and was
found to have sustained an injury to the off wrist and was stood down for a
period of 7 days.

RAPID EXPLOSION,
CELEBRITY BABE and AIM were all best to begin.
At the 1st turn, PRATER’S RECRUIT checked into the rear of
CELEBRITY BABE and became severely unbalanced, losing significant ground. CASH FLOW JOE, which was trailing, shifted
wide to avoid inconvenience. Leaving the
1st turn, CELEBRITY BABE and SHORT SESSION checked and lost
momentum. Shortly after CASH FLOW JOE
and PRATER’S RECRUIT checked.
Race 9 – FEMALE TRAINER OF THE YEAR 2007 – RACHEL SCOTT 5TH
GRADE (3) – 288M
The greyhound KICKER
CREW underwent a pre race veterinary examination and was passed fit to race.
SHE’S GOOD was best to
begin. Approaching the 1st
turn, MARITANA was tightened for racing room and lost momentum. Shortly after, UMBREON checked off heels and
lost ground. In the 1st turn,
KICKER CREW shifted in, which impeded ZIGGY BUZZARD, causing that greyhound to
lose momentum. PATTAYA GIRL raced wide
through the 1st turn, and continued to race wide through the turn
into the front straight.
The greyhound MARITANA
underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have sustained a
back strain injury and was stood down for a period of 10 days.

SMACK DAB and ELEGANT
DUK were both best to begin, SWIFT HARBOUR was slow. Approaching the 1st turn, SWIFT
HARBOUR collided heavily into the back of WESTMEAD DAFFIE, which shifted out
and checked heavily into SAGE OF OMAHA, causing all those greyhounds to lose
substantial ground. Leaving the 1st
turn, WESTMEAD DAFFIE and SAGE OF OMAHA checked, causing SAGE OF OMAHA to
become severely unbalanced and lose momentum.
SWIFT HARBOUR, which was trailing, shifted wide.
The greyhound SWIFT
HARBOUR underwent a post race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries
were found.
The greyhound SAGE OF
OMAHA underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have
sustained an injury to the near fore metacarpal and was stood down for a period
