Race 1 – ADOPT A GREYHOUND MAIDEN – 431M

 

Stewards’ declared SPRING PHOENIX hard-to-box.

 

REGAL REPORT was best to begin.  Shortly after the start, SPRING PHOENIX and MISS EMMY bumped.  Rounding the turn into the back straight, STRAIT RUM clipped heels, shifted out checking MAYWYN’S XENA, causing both greyhounds to lose ground.  In the back straight, MISS EMMY and STRAIT RUM raced wide.  Rounding the turn into the front straight, MEERKAT WARRIOR and REGAL REPORT collided.  In the front straight, STRAIT RUM and MISS EMMY bumped.

 

Race 2 – SKY RACING NOVICE – 431M

 

RUSSIAN ROULETTE was best to begin.  Shortly after the start, EYE LIKE CAKE and HARDLY NORMAL bumped.  In the 1st turn, BALLYMAC JAY and ORACLE KATE collided.  Rounding the turn into the back straight, HARDLY NORMAL got onto the hindquarters of BALLYMAC JAY, causing BALLYMAC JAY to lose ground.  In the top turn, MY BOUQUET was tightened for racing room.  In the back straight, BALLYMAC JAY raced wide.

 

The greyhound BALLYMAC JAY underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

 

Race 3 – GREYHOUND-DATA.COM NOVICE – 431M

 

FAKE NEWS was best to begin.  Leaving the boxes, SIR RAVEN’s muzzle became dislodged.  Shortly after the start, WERINA ROCKET, MAYWYN’S NOMAD and BRASS ROAD raced tight.  In the 1st turn, MASTER TIDE and SIR RAVEN collided.  In the top turn, MAYWYN’S NOMAD was tightened for racing room.  Entering the front straight, MASTER TIDE and SIR RAVEN bumped. 

 

The greyhound MASTER TIDE underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

 

Race 4 – WWW.IPSWICHGREYHOUNDS.COM 5TH GRADE HEAT 1 – 431M

 

ONE WHISPER and WHINGING WILKO was best to begin, EGYPTIAN SPOT was marginally slow.  In the 1st turn, SLEEK STYLE and MAGIC CODE collided. 

 

Race 5 – CITY COUNTRY FOOD SERVICE MA5 – 431M

 

Even start.  In the 1st turn, ALPHA DAENERYS and GUY FAWKES collided.  Entering the back straight, ALPHA DAENERYS and GUY FAWKES bumped.  Rounding the turn out of the back straight, GUY FAWKES hit the running rail.  Approaching the finishing line, GUY FAWKES and ON TIGHT LINES bumped. 

 

The greyhound GUY FAWKES underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have sustained an injury to the off side wrist and was stood down for a period of 7 days.

 

Race 6 - WWW.IPSWICHGREYHOUNDS.COM 4TH GRADE – 431M

 

Even start, with THAT HOUDINI marginally slow.  Rounding the turn into the back straight, SPRING ROY and SPRING WATTLE raced tight.  In the top turn, SPRING WATTLE, THAT HOUDINI, NEVER A DOUBT and SPRING REINA raced tight, causing all greyhounds to be hampered.  Rounding the turn into the front straight, VELOCITY ZARIN and SPRING WATTLE collided on numerous occasions. 

 

Race 7 – KAYPAT LODGE 5TH GRADE FINAL – 431M

FARCELONA FENIX and STRUDEL were best to begin.  Shortly after the start, all greyhounds, with the exception of FARCELONA FENIX and SPRING ANGEL collided and lost ground at differing degrees.  In the 1st turn, SPRING ANGEL, SPRING RITCHIE and THANKING PETER collided.  At the same time, LILY’S BEAN and SPRING WINE collided.  Leaving the 1st turn, SPRING WINE and LILY’S BEAN bumped.  Leaving the top turn, MISS AMELIA and THANKING PETER collided. 

 

Race 8 - WWW.IPSWICHGREYHOUNDS.COM BEST 8 – 431M

 

CAKE IT ON was best to begin.  Leaving the 1st turn, ROAD TO FLAME clipped heels, fell, and gave no further competitive part in the race, and checked NO MORE CAKE, VALKYRIE NIGHT, GITCHA HUMMIN’ and REGAL WAZ, resulting in REGAL WAZ to fall and give no further competitive part in the event.

Race 9 – GREG STERNBERG VET SURGEON 5TH GRADE HEAT 2 – 431M

 

Even start.  Approaching the 1st turn, LEST WE, ARE JAY DEE, SPRING IVY and OFF THE DECK collided.  Leaving the 1st turn, PIRATA clipped heels, shifted out checking ROYAL PLAY and OFF THE DECK.  Entering the back straight, PIRATA and OFF THE DECK bumped.  Entering the front straight, SPRING IVY clipped heels.

 

Race 10 - WWW.IPSWICHGREYHOUNDS.COM 5TH GRADE HEAT 3 – 431M

 

Even start, with CLICK COWAN slow.  In the 1st turn, RUMBLING JAKE and GYPSY WISH collided on numerous occasions.  In the back and front straight, RUMBLING JAKE raced wide.
