Race 1 – GREYHOUND ADOPTION PROGRAM MAIDEN – 431M
BIG BANG TEXADA was
best to begin, with BUD’S KNIGHT marginally slow. Leaving the 1st turn, LUCKY NOVA
and BUD’S DELIGHT collided. Entering the
back straight, RINGBARK AMY and FERNANDO BEE collided. In the top turn, BIG BANG TEXADA clipped
heels and lost ground. In the front
straight, BIG BANG TEXADA raced wide.

Even
start, with KENNY SAID WAIT slow.
Shortly after the start, DAVE THE RAVE and CHROME RUN bumped on numerous
occasions. Approaching the turn into the
back straight, DAVE THE RAVE and CHROME RUN collided, causing both greyhounds
to become unbalanced. In the back and
front straight, DAVE THE RAVE raced wide.
The
greyhound FROSTY SKY underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found
to have sustained an injury to the near side hip and was stood down for a
period of 10 days
Race 3 – SKY RACING NOVICE – 520M
Even
start. Shortly after the start, POWDER,
WERINA ROCKET and EARLY SETTLER collided. In the 1st turn, GALWAY
WOLFGANG and EARLY SETTLER bumped. At
the same time, EYE LIKE CAKE shifted out checking SILVER LUX. Approaching the turn into the front straight,
GALWAY WOLFGANG was tightened for racing room.
The
greyhound GALWAY WOLFGANG underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was
found to have sustained a strain to the near side hip and was stood down for a
period of 10 days.
Race 4 – TREMBATH TYRE REPAIRS 5PW – 520M
PRATER’S
RECRUIT was best to begin. Entering the
back straight, ELOISE and BUTTERFLY IS SHE bumped. In the top turn, ELOISE clipped heels and
lost ground. Entering the front
straight, SNOWBALL CREED and CATCH ME KEITH raced tight. In the back straight, BUTTERFLY IS SHE raced
wide. In the front straight, ELOISE,
CATCH ME KEITH and BUTTERFLY IS SHE raced wide.

PRATER’S
PROMISE was best to begin. Approaching
the 1st turn, REACTOR, CAN’T POSSIBLY and ROI LEAR KAHN
collided. In the 1st turn, MANDELA
CLOUD clipped heels, shifted out checking REACTOR, causing both greyhounds to
lose ground. In the top turn, CAN’T
POSSIBLY clipped heels, resulting in MAC ROAMIN’ to be checked.
Race 6 – BUTCHER CO 5TH GRADE (1) – 431M
Even
start. In the 1st turn,
GALLON, ZABDON MCGREGOR and FIVE GALLON HAT all raced tight. Rounding the turn into the back straight,
ZABDON MCGREGOR got onto the hindquarters of FIVE GALLON HAT, causing FIVE
GALLON HAT to race wide and lose ground.
In the back straight, RINGBARK MASON raced wide. In the front straight, SASSY OAKS clipped
heels, shifted out checking SPECIAL COVER.
The
greyhound ZABDON MCGREGOR underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no
apparent injuries were found.

– 431M
NIGHT
TIME LOVER was best to begin. In the 1st
turn, all greyhounds, except NIGHT TIME LOVER, collided and lost ground at
differing degrees. In the top turn,
BEFORE THE FIRE hit the running rail and lost ground. Entering the front straight, BUD’S DELIGHT
and BEFORE THE FIRE bumped.
The
greyhound BEFORE THE FIRE underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no
apparent injuries were found.
Race 8 – OWNER OF YEAR 2008 – PAUL FELGATE MIXED 4/5TH
GRADE – 431M
ELLY BYE BYE and MAYWYN PROMISES were best to begin. In the 1st turn, DESTINI PEGASUS
and CAWBOURNE BIGRED collided. Leaving
the 1st turn, WILLY TOULA was tightened for racing room. In the top turn, PARIS QUEEN clipped heels,
causing CAWBOURNE BIGRED to be checked.

ALLPA MAMA was best to
begin. In the 1st turn, SONIC
THUNDER, TOPAZ TAN and ALLPA MAMA collided, causing all greyhounds to be
hampered. In the front straight on the 1st
occasion, GALWAY PANTHER raced wide. In
the back straight, GALWAY PANTHER raced wide.
On the home straight, PRATER’S ACE and SONIC THUNDER bumped.
The greyhound SONIC
THUNDER underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries
were found.
Race 10 – FEMALE TRAINER OF YEAR 2008 – SANDRA GILES 5TH
GRADE – 520M
The greyhound PHANTOM
HENRY underwent a pre-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were
found.
PAWFECTION was best to
begin, with BROTHER TREVOR coming up with the lids. In the 1st turn, BROTHER TREVOR
and GRU collided, causing PHANTOM HENRY to be checked and all greyhounds to
lose ground. Entering the front
straight, SURFBOARD and RINGBARK BELLA.
