Race 1 – ADOPT A GREYHOUND MAIDEN – 288M
KRAZY
ZOE was best to begin, with BRIANS TRUST marginally slow. Approaching the 1st turn, FABATIME
and KRAZY ZOE collided. Leaving the 1st
turn, SUGAR BOY commenced to give ground.
The
greyhound SUGAR BOY underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found
to have sustained an injury to the off side pin and was stood down for a period
of 14 days.
Race 2 – SKY RACING MDNPW – 431M
TAX
COLLECTOR was best to begin, with BLUE THUNDER BUD slow. In the 1st turn, BUD’S MILLAR, MY
BRO DOUGIE and MAGICAL SHOW collided, causing MAGICAL SHOW to lose ground and
give no further competitive part in the race.
In the back straight, FROSTY BLACK JAY and TAX COLLECTOR raced
wide. In the top turn, SCOTT NO CLUE was
tightened for racing and lost ground. In
the front straight, BLUE THUNDER BUD raced wide.
The
greyhound MAGICAL SHOW underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no
apparent injuries were found.
Connection
to the greyhound MAGICAL SHOW was advised that the greyhound would be charged
under Rule 69A Failing to Pursue 1st Offence, with the greyhound
being stood down for a period of 28 days, and will be required to perform a
satisfactory stewards’ trial, over a distance of 431m, prior to racing.
Race 3 – GREYHOUND_DATA.COM NOVICE – 431M
DAM
THE MAN and FARMOR KA CHING were best to begin.
Shortly after the start, HOPE SAID, CYNDIE SAID, BALLYMAC JAY and
CALYPSO BAY all raced tight. In the top
turn, CALYPSO BAY was tightened for racing room. In the front and back straight, BALLYMAC JAY
raced wide.

ORACLE
KATE was best to begin. In the 1st
turn, HAD BETTER DAZE and BUD’S DELIGHT bumped.
At the same time, THAT HOUDINI clipped heels and lost ground. In the top turn, ORACLE KATE was tightened
for racing room and lost ground.
The
greyhound ORACLE KATE underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no
apparent injuries were found.
Race 5 – CITY COUNTRY FOOD SERVICE 5TH GRADE
HEAT 1 – 431M
JIMARY
FREE was best to begin. In the 1st
turn, WIGGLE WABBLE, ROSEALIE WHO and COUNT WERINA collided, causing ROSEALIE
WHO and COUNT WERINA to lose ground. In
the top turn, ROSEALIE WHO and PIRATA collided.

AVA
SURPRISE and DOUBLE SPUR were best to begin.
Shortly after the start, CATCH ME KEITH and NIVEK RETSERROF
collided. Approaching the 1st
turn, CATCH ME KEITH and SNOWBALL CREED raced tight. In the 1st turn, CATCH ME KEITH
shifted out checking TOPAZ TAN, resulting in NIVEK RETSERROF to clip heels and
all greyhounds to lose ground.
The
greyhound NIVEK RETSERROF underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was
found to have sustained an injury to the off hind leg and was stood down for a
period of 10 days.
The
greyhound CATCH ME KEITH underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was
found to have sustained an injury to the
off side pin and was stood down for a period of 7 days.
Race 7 – KAYPAT LODGE 4/5TH GRADE FINAL – 431M
Even
start. Shortly after the start, VAQUERO
and ASH TIDE bumped. In the 1st
turn, STROGANOFF and ASH TIDE collided.
Entering the back straight, ASH TIDE and STROGANOFF raced wide. Entering the front straight, INDIAN RUBY and
ZIPPING CLARK raced tight. In the front
straight, STROGANOFF raced wide.

GRADE– 431M
Even start. Shortly after the start, SAMURAI PIZZACAT,
DAISY DREAMS, CAPTAIN TIL and REAL JAZZ raced tight. In the 1st turn, MAGIC CODE, ROYAL
PRIZE, COMANECI and SMART WERINA bumped.
Entering the back straight, REAL JAZZ, COMANECI, DAISY DREAMS and
CAPTAIN TIL collided, causing REAL JAZZ to lose ground.
The greyhound REAL JAZZ
underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were
found.
Race 9 – GREG STERNBERG VET SURGEON 5TH GRADE
HEAT 2 – 431M
Even start. In the 1st turn, all greyhounds
were tightened for racing room and hampered.
Rounding the turn into the back straight, MISS FERNANDO and FARMOR
EFFECTED collided, at the same time OPPORTUNE KNOCKA was tightened for racing
room. In the back straight, FARMOR EFFECTED and NO LAYING BACK collided on
numerous occasions and lost ground.
Rounding the turn into the front straight, BILLY WHO and AL BRUTON
collided. In the front straight, NO
LAYING BACK raced wide.
The greyhound BILLY WHO
underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were
found.
Stewards’ questioned Mr
William Elson on the performance of BILLY WHO, who stated that the greyhound
hadn’t run over this distance before, and was pleased with the race.

HEAT 3 – 431M
VALKYRIE BLUE was best
to begin. Shortly after the start,
ROSDUE KOLA and THANKING PETER bumped.
In the 1st turn, RED JUMPER and THANKING PETER collided. Rounding the turn into the front straight RED
JUMPER and THANKING PETER collided on numerous occasions.
