Race 1 – GREYHOUND ADOPTION PROGRAM MAIDEN HEAT 1 – 431M

 

Best away was COCONUT LASS, with the rest evenly away.  Approaching the turn into the back straight, LYNNY’S HONEY and BUD’S MILLAR collide, causing those two greyhounds to drop back.  In the back straight, COCONUT LASS was wide, in the home straight, BLUE JAY JAY was wide.

 

Race 2 – SKY RACING MAIDEN HEAT 2 – 431M

 

Best away was NO MEDIOCRE, with SPRING PHOENIX slowly away.  Entering the back straight, MAYWYN’S XENA checked off the heels of ALPHA SOMETHING.  In the back straight, FROSTY BLACK JAY was wide.  In the home straight, ALPHA SOMETHING and SPRING PHOENIX were racing tight and bumping, with FROSTY BLACK JAY wide.

              

Race 3 – WWW.IPSWICHGREYHOUNDS.COM NOVICE – 431M

 

Best away was FARMOR KA CHING and COST A PENNY, with BONNY DOON BLAZE slowly away.  Entering the back straight, ZIPPING CRONK and MAYWYN WISHES collide, causing MAYWYN WISHES to stumble and drop the rear.  In the back straight, COST A PENNY was wide.  Entering the turn out of the back straight, ROSEY’S LASS and STOP IT LACHLAN collide.  Entering the turn into the home straight, STOP IT LACHLAN eased and took no further competitive part in the event.  In the home straight, ROSEYS LASS was wide. 

 

The greyhound MAYWYN WISHES underwent a post race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

 

The greyhound STOP IT LACHLAN underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have sustained an injury to the off side hock and was humanely euthanised.

 

Race 4 – ALPHA 390 FINANCE 5TH GRADE (1) – 431M

 

Best away was LOGAN’S RUN, with IMPATIENT KID slowly away.  Soon after the start, OUR CAVALEIR and HAD BETTER DAZE collide.  Entering the back straight, ROSDUE KOLA and OUR CAVALEIR collide, with HAD BETTER DAZE wide in the back straight.  Entering the turn out of the back straight, HOLLY KNOCKS and SPRING WINE collide. 

 

Race 5 – WWW.IPSWICHGREYHOUNDS.COM 5TH GRADE (2) – 431M

 

Best away was ROYAL PLAY, with THUNDER OF FIRE slowly away.  Soon after the start, ROSDUE MISTY and MAMMA’S BOY collide.  Entering the turn in the back straight, ROYAL PLAY, SPRING RITCHIE, THUNDER OF FIRE and LITTLE DOTTY all collide, causing LITTLE DOTTY to stumble and drop to the rear.  In the back straight and home straight, ROYAL PLAY was wide. 

 

The greyhound SPRING RICHIE underwent a post race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

 

 

Race 6 – JUST GREYHOUNDS PHOTOS 4TH GRADE – 431M

 

Best away was PROPER GENT, with SHAKEY RANDLE slowly away.  In the back straight, KIA BE GOOD was wide.  Entering the turn out of the back straight, GET SHORTY checked off the heels of THAT HOUDINI.  In the home straight, HONEY’S PRINCESS was wide. 

 

Race 7 – WWW.IPSWICHGREYHOUNDS.COM 4/5TH GRADE MIXED FINAL – 520M

 

Best away was REGAL TOPAZ, with TOPAZ TAN and FRIENDZ slowly away.  In the turn out of the home straight, EBONNIE and RATAJKOWSKI collide.  In the back straight and home straight, CRAZY BELLA was wide. 

 

The greyhound CRAZY BELLA underwent a post race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

 

Race 8 – GJ WALSH @ CO BEST 8 – 431M

 

Best away was LITTLE ACH CEE, with SNOWBALL OTTO slowly away, stumbling on jumping.  In the back straight, JETTA KNIGHT was wide.  Entering the turn out of the back straight, SPRING ROY checked off the heels of LIGHTNING WHITE.  Entering the home turn, JETTA KNIGHT checked off the heels of LITTLE ACH CEE.  In the home straight, JETTA KNIGHT was wide.

Best away was SKYLARK BROOKE, with REACTOR and NASH TATO slowly away.  Entering the back straight, NASH TATO checked off the heels of CAPTAIN’S KNOCK.  In the back straight, CAIRNLEA ROCKET was wide, in the home straight, REACTOR was wide.

 

Race 10 - FEMALE TRAINER OF THE YEAR 2011 – RACHEL SCOTT 5PW – 431M

 

Best away was WILDASH SEMI, with MISS SHRAPNEL slowly away.  Soon after the start, FLASH GEE and SPRING FESTIVAL collide.  Entering the back straight, CHIPPIES, FLASH GEE and SPRING FESTIVAL collide.  In the back straight, MULROONEY checked off the heels of MISS SHRAPNEL, causing MULROONEY to drop back sharply.  In the back straight, CHIPPIES was wide, in the home straight, FLASH GEE was wide.
