Race 1 – GREYHOUND ADOPTION PROGRAM MAIDEN HEAT 1 – 431M

 

Best away was BUD’S MILLAR, with ANGRY ANGUS slowly away. Soon after the start, PASSING NOVA and BIG MAN RUSTY collide. Entering the turn into the back straight, BAGO COOPS checked off the heels of PASING NOVA, causing BAGO COOPS to check ANGRY ANGUS. On the turn out of the back straight, PASSING NOVA checked off the heels of BUD’S MILLER, causing BUD’S MILLER to drop back sharply.

 

Race 2– SKY RACING MAIDEN HEAT 2 – 431M

 

Best away was TOMMY’S BEACH, with FULL IMPACT and WY YUNG FLOODS slowly away. Approaching the turn into the back straight, MAYWYN CASH and BAGO RUBY collide, causing those two greyhounds to fall checking WY YUNG FLOODS. Entering the back straight, CHEWING SHOES and BLUE JILLEM collide. In the home straight FULL IMPACT was wide.

Race 3 – WWW.IPSWICHGREYHOUND.COM MAIDEN FINAL – 431M

 

Best away was ELI RED FAWN and LADY LIKE GRACE, with CRYSTAL CASCADE slowly away. Approaching the turn into the back straight, JOYLEY GIRL, WHATTA STORM and MARVISTA collide. Entering the back straight, CRYSTAL CASCADE dropped back for no apparent reason and took no further competitive part in the event. In the home straight CELTIC FEAR was wide.

 

The greyhound CRYSTAL CASCADE underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have sustained an injury to the off side hock and was stood down for a period of 14 days.

 

Race 4 – ALPHA 390 FINANCE NOVICE – 431M

 

Best away was SMILING BLONDE and BLACK KOALA, with COCONUT LASS slowly away. Approaching the turn on the back straight, MADAM KARMAR and BLACK KOALA collide, causing BLACK KOALA to check COCONUT LASS. Entering the back straight, SMILING BLONDE and ELUSIVE FANCY collide. In the back straight, COCONUT LASS was wide. Approaching the turn into the home straight, BLACK KOALA checked off the heels of MADAM KARMAR, in the home straight COCONUT LASS was wide.

 

Race 5 –WWW.IPSWICHGREYHOUNDS.COM 5TH GRADE - 431M

 

Even start, with CLICK COWAN and FARMOR KA CHING slowly away. Approaching the turn in the back straight, SPRING WINE, NO MEDIOCRE and ROSDUE MISTY all collide. In the back straight, FARMOR KA CHING and ROSDUE MISTY collide. In the back and home straight, NASH TATO was wide.

The greyhound FARMOR KA CHING underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have sustained an injury to the off fore leg and was stood down for a period of 10 days.

 

Race 6 – TREMBATH TYRE REPAIRS 5TH GRADE – 431M

 

Best away was MISS THICKSHAKE and SHAKEY RANDLE, with LA BAMBA slowly away. Soon after the start, SPRING FESTIVAL and MAYWYN ZEPHYR collide. Entering the turn into the back straight, MAYWYN ZEPHYR checked off the heels MISS THICKSHAKE. Entering the turn out of the back straight. Miss THICKSHAKE checked off the heels of WATCH ME WIGGLE causing MISS THICKSHAKE to drop back checking MAYWYN ZEPHYR.  In the home straight MISS THICKSHAKE was wide.

 

The greyhound MAYWYN’S ZEPHYR underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have no apparent injuries.

 

Race 7 – WWW.IPSWICHGREYHOUNDS.COM 4/5TH GRADE – 431M

 

Best away was HONEY’S PRINCESS with DOUBLE OAK and SPRING REINA slowly away. Soon after the start, GET SHORTY and FARMOR IN TIME collide. Entering the back straight, JUNK YARD KYLIE checked off the heels of ROSDUE KOLA, causing JUNK YARD KYLIE to race wide in the back straight. In the home straight, JUNK YARD KYLIE was wide.

 

Race 8 – WHITE ROSE BOARDING KENNELS 4/5TH GRADE – 520M

 

Best away was FIVE GALLON HAT, with BEE SOLO slowly away. Entering the turn out of the home straight, SUPER CESC checked off the heels of SPRING ANGEL, causing SPRING ANGEL to drop back and take no further compete part in the event. Entering the back straight, TYLER LEE and TEN GALLON HAT collide. Approaching the winning post, CAIRNLEA ROCKET turned its head inwards and made muzzle contact with FIVE GALLON HAT.

 

The greyhound SPRING ANGEL underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have no apparent injuries.

 

Connection to the greyhound CAIRNLEA ROCKET was advised the greyhound would be charged under Rule 69 Marring 1st offence, with the greyhound being stood down for a period of 28 days, and required to perform a satisfactory stewards’ trial, over a distance of 520m, prior to racing.

 

Race 9 – WWW.IPSWICHGREYHOUNDS.COM 5TH GRADE – 431M

 

Best away was WHITE EAGLE with SPRING RITCHIE slowly away. Soon after the start CATCH ME KEITH shifted out checking INVICTUS CLIVE and WHITE EAGLE. Entering the back straight SPRING RITCHIE checked off the heels of BRASS ROAD. In the back straight NO CONFIDENCE was wide. In the home straight SPRING RUSSELL and BRASS ROAD collide with NO CONFIDENCE wide.

 

Race 10 – GREYHOUND OF YEAR 2013 – BLACK BOOK BOB 4/5TH GRADE - 288M

 

Best away was DESTINI PEGASUS and BOGIE TEEJAY, with BROTHER TREVOR slowly away. Approaching the turn out of the back straight, BROTHER TREVOR and SPRING REBEL collide, causing SPRING REBEL to check THUNDER CLAP, causing THUNDER CLAP to fall. On the top turn, DESTINY PEGASUS and BERGARI collide.  In the home straight, STRING REBEL was wide.

 

The greyhound THUNDER CLAP underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have no apparent injuries.

 

The greyhound BROTHER TREVOR underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have sustained an injury to the near hind leg and was stood down for a period of 14 days.
