Race 1 – ADOPT A GREYHOUND, MAIDEN 288M
BECKONING CANDLE and BOYZ ONE were best to begin. BLUE THUNDER BUD was marginally slow. Approaching the first turn LOCCO LAD checked off heels and lost ground. Leaving the first turn BIG RED NOISE and BOYZ ONE collided, causing BIG RED NOISE to become severely unbalanced and lose substantial ground as a result. BLUE THUNDER BUD which was trailing was severely inconvenienced and lost significant as a consequence. Approaching the turn into the front straight ROSIE GAZE was impeded and lost ground.
Race 2 – SKY RACING, MAIDEN, 431M
WY YOUNG FLOODS and BUDS MILLAR were best to begin. Shortly after the start DAM LONELY deviated its attention towards the greyhound racing to its inside and made muzzle contact with that greyhound. Approaching the first turn DAM LONELY continued to deviate its attention towards the greyhound racing to its inside and made muzzle contact on a couple of occasions. In the first turn BUDS MILLAR was tightened for room and lost ground. Immediately after OUTBACK DESTINY improved onto the heels of BUDS MILLAR with both greyhounds losing significant ground. Approaching the top turn OUTBACK DESTINY eased.
Race 3 – WWW.IPSWICHGREYHOUNDS.COM, NOVICE, 431M
ADELINA was best to begin. Approaching the first turn ELUSIVE FANCY and MADAM KARMAR checked causing both to lose ground. ELUSIVE FANCY and MADAM KARMAR raced tight and checked on multiple occasions through the first turn. OH SHE GLOWS which was trailing was inconvenienced and lost momentum. Approaching the top turn MADAM KARMAR and OH SHE GLOWS checked causing both greyhounds to lose significant ground. SIENNA’S BOY was impeded over the concluding stages of the race and lost momentum.
Race 4 – GREYHOUND_DATA.COM, 5TH GRADE, 288M
MASTER ZIMBO was best to begin. MAKING CENTS was marginally slow. Approaching the first turn MAKING CENTS shifted inwards, which impeded MARITANA causing that greyhound to lose momentum. Shortly after MARITANA checked off heels and lost considerable ground. Leaving the top turn MARITANA checked off heels and lost further ground. Leaving the turn to the front straight BAY OF MOJO’s and MISTER CHAOS checked.
Race 5 – WWW.IPSWICHGREYHOUNDS.COM, 3/4TH GRADE, 288M
KYLE THE TANK and I’VE GOT CENTS were both marginally slow to begin. Shortly after the start FOLLOW THE DUK was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground. KYLE THE TANK which was trailing was impeded and lost momentum. Leaving the turn into the front straight I’VE GOT CENTS shifted out and lost momentum.
Race 6 – ADVENTURE TOURISM AUSTRALIA, 5TH GRADE HEAT 1, 431M
OUTBACK MANDRAKE was best to begin. ASH TIDE was slow. Immediately after the start SUPER CETTE was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground. CATCH ME KEITH and FERNANDO BEE were checked at the first turn causing both greyhounds to lose ground. Shortly after HARA’s REBEL which was trailing improved onto the rear of FERNANDO BEE, fell and took no further part in the race. SUPER CETTE which was trailing was severely inconvenienced and lost substantial ground as a consequence. Leaving the turn out of the back straight OUTBACK MANDRAKE checked off heels and lost ground. Approaching the top turn IMPATIENT KID shifted in and checked heavily into CATCH ME KEITH losing significant ground as a result. Shortly after FERNANDO BEE was impeded and lost ground. ASH TIDE was impeded over the concluding stages of the event.
Race 7 – WWW.IPSWICHGREYHOUNDS.COM, 5TH GRADE HEAT 2, 431M
MISS THICKSHAKE was best to begin. SPRING RUSSELL slipped shortly after the start checking into LITTLE EDDIE, causing both greyhounds to lose ground. Approaching the first turn SPRING RUSSELL and LITTLE EDDIE checked. At the same time UNIQUE LEIGH checked off heels and lost ground. Approaching the turn into the back straight UNIQUE LEIGH shifted out and checked into LITTLE EDDIE causing both greyhounds to lose momentum. Shortly after MASTER BULLET checked off heels and lost considerable ground. LITTLE EDDIE raced extremely wide in the back straight. Approaching the top turn UNIQUE LEIGH, SPRING RUSSELL and THUNDER CLAP raced tight and checked with all losing significant ground as a result. Approaching the turn into the front straight MASTER BULLET was impeded, shifted out and lost momentum. LITTLE EDDIE raced wide through the turn into the front straight and remained wide for the remainder of the race.
Race 8 – GREG STERNBERG VET SURGEON, BEST 8, 431M
AIM was best to begin. INNER WISDOM was slow. PEBBLE BAY and REGAL WAZ raced tight and bumped on multiple occasions approaching the first turn, causing PEBBLE BAY to lose ground. NEVER A DOUBT which was trailing collided heavily into PEBBLE BAY causing that greyhound to lose significant ground. TUBBY TURNER shifted in and collided into REGAL WAZ at the 1st turn causing REGAL WAZ to lose ground. Shortly after TUBBY TURNER and FOXY BE GOOD raced tight causing both greyhounds to lose momentum. Leaving the turn into the back straight REGAL WAZ was impeded and lost momentum. Approaching the top turn INNER WISDOM was tightened for racing room, shifted out and checked with REGAL WAZ. At the top turn NEVER A DOUBT collided into INNER WISDOM which in turn collided into REGAL WAZ causing both INNER WISDOM and REGAL WAZ to lose significant ground.
Race 9 – WWW.IPSWICHGREYHOUNDS.COM 5TH GRADE, 288M
STAR RISE was best to begin. Approaching the first turn MASTER DEAN was tightened for racing room checked off heels and lost ground. Shortly after STAR RISE checked off heels, became severely unbalanced and lost substantial ground. ELEGANT DUK which was trailing was severely inconvenienced and also lost substantial ground. MISTER DEAN which was also trailing, was inconvenienced and lost ground. MISTER TERRIFIC raced wide through the turn into the front straight.
Race 10 – OWNER OF YEAR 2014 – P & A O’REILLY, MAIDEN/5TH GRADE, 431M
MAMMA’S BOY and GUY FAWKES were both best to begin. Immediately after the start ZILLIE BEAN, CIANNA’S ANGEL, WATCH ME WIGGLE and VELOCITY LINDER all came together and checked, with all losing ground to varying degrees. At the first turn GALWAY BLUEBIRD checked into MAGIC PASS which in turn checked into GUY FAWKES causing those greyhounds to lose momentum. ZILLIE BEAN which was trailing collided heavily into MAGIC PASS causing both greyhounds to lose considerable ground. WATCH ME WIGGLE which was also trailing collided heavily into MAGIC PASS and lost substantial ground as a consequence. MAMMAS BOY which was trailing those greyhounds collided heavily into WATCH ME WIGGLE with both greyhounds losing substantial ground and taking no further competitive part in the event. Leaving the top turn VELOCITY LINDER was impeded and lost momentum.
