Race Reports
Race 1 – ADOPT A GREYHOUND | MAIDEN | 288 M
DEEP EMOTION and MAYWYN IRENE were slow to begin. Approaching the first turn LITTLE HUGGY and DJAY SIMPLE were tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground. In the first turn MAYWYN IRENE collided into the rear of DEEP EMOTION causing both greyhounds to lose considerable ground. Leaving the first turn LITTLE HUGGY shifted out sharply and collided into TWO MORE MODELS causing both greyhounds to lose considerable ground. Leaving the turn into the front straight CANDY MIX, LITTLE HUGGY and TWO MORE MODELS collided and all lost ground.
Race 2 – SKY RACING | NOVICE | 288 M
LADY OPAL, MY GIRL ELLE and MY BOYZ ONE were best to begin. LADY SURPRISE and WILD SPARK were marginally slow. Approaching the first turn MY GIRL ELLE was tightened for racing room and lost ground. In the first turn MAYWYN’S VIXEN and BOYZ ONE collided heavily causing both greyhounds to lose significant ground. LADY SURPRISE and MY GIRL ELLE which were trialing, raced tight and then checked into MASTER TIDE, causing those three greyhounds to lose ground as a result. Leaving the turn into the front straight LADY SURPRISE and MASTER TIDE checked and lost ground.
Race 3 – WWW.IPSWICHGREYHOUNDS.COM 5th Grade H | 5 GRADE | 431 M
ALPHA RHEA was best to begin. The majority of the field raced tight and checked approaching the first turn. HIFI SHIAN lost considerable ground as a result. Leaving the first turn ELUSIVE FANCY checked off heels and became severely unbalanced, then collided into MALUTKI. HIFI SHIAN which was trialing collided into MALUTKI causing those three greyhounds to lose substantial ground as a result. In the back straight ALPHA RHEA commenced to yield ground.
Race 4 – GREYHOUND_DATA.COM 5th Grade H | 5Th GRADE | 431 M
ANNIE’S MAGIC was best to begin. In the first turn CLICK COWAN and PIRATA were both impeded and lost ground. Leaving the first turn OUTBACK MANDRAKE was tightened for racing room, checked off heels and lost ground. PIRATA which was trialing was inconvenienced by this incident and also lost ground.
Race 5 – WWW.IPSWICHGREYHOUNDS.COM 5th Grade H | 5th GRADE | 431 M
MISS GRASSCUTTER was best to begin. BONNY DOON BLAZE and SPRING RITCHIE were marginally slow. In the first turn BOONY DOON BLAZE and SPRING RITCHIE checked with both losing ground as a result. Approaching the turn into the back straight BONNY DOON BLAZE and SPRING RITCHIE checked once again and lost further ground. Shortly after SWEET KARMAR shifted in and checked with WAZZA SAID with both greyhounds losing ground.
Race 6 – ADVENTURE TOURISM AUSTRALIA | 3 / 4 GRADE | 431 M
I’VE GOT CENTS was best to begin. SPRING WINE was marginally slow. Approaching the first turn MAYWYN PROMISES and DESTINI PEGASUS checked, DANYO’S LOZZA which was trailing was inconvenienced and lost ground. Shortly after MAYWYN PROMISES and DESTINI PEGASUS checked again, resulting in both greyhounds losing considerable ground. In the turn into the back straight, DANYO’S LOZZA was impeded and lost ground. In the top turn DESTINI PEGASUS commenced to yield ground and took no further competitive part in the race.
Race 7 – WWW.IPSWICHGREYHOUNDS.COM 5th Grade F | 5 GRADE | 431 M
NO MEDIOCRE was best to begin. In the first turn NO CONFIDENCE checked off heels and lost considerable ground. Approaching the turn into the front straight SONIC BOOM was impeded and lost ground. Shortly after MISTER MORK stumbled and lost ground.
NO CONFIDENCE underwent a post-race veterinary examination with no apparent injuries found.
Race 8 – GREG STERNBERG VET SURGEON | BT8 GRADE | 431 M
SPRING REINA was best to begin. Leaving the first turn, MAYWYN REWARDS was tightened for racing room, checked and took no further part in the race there after. Approaching the turn into the front straight, SPRING REINA improved onto the rear of LITTLE ACH CEE, causing both greyhounds to lose ground. Leaving the turn into the front straight, MAYWYNS NOISE improved onto the heels of AIM, causing both greyhounds to become imbalanced and lose ground.
Race 9 – WWW.IPSWICHGREYHOUNDS.COM 5th Grade H | 5 GRADE | 431 M
INQUISITIVE ME and ANNIE SAID were both best to begin. Shortly after start STOP THE IMAGE and ZULU ASSAULT checked and lost ground. Approaching the top turn SPENDER BEACH shifted in and collided heavily with ZULU ASSAULT causing SPENDER BEACH to fall and ZULU ASSAULT to lose substantial ground as a consequence. STOP THE IMAGE which was trailing was severely inconvenienced by this incident and also lost substantial ground. At the top turn MAYWYN CASH was impeded, then checked off heels and lost considerable ground.
ZULU ASSAULT underwent a post-race veterinary examination with no apparent injuries found.
Race 10 – OWNER OF YEAR 2017 - ROB ESSEX | M5 GRADE | 431 M
STAR RISE was best to begin. Shortly after start FRUIT ZAFONIC and GUYS FAWKES raced tight and checked on numerous occasions, losing ground as they did. Shortly after GUY FAWKES shifted in which severely impeded RED MUSKATEER, which then checked off heels, commenced to yield ground and took no further competitive part in the race. GUNLEE ROCKER was also inconvenienced as a result of that incident and also lost ground. Approaching the top turn WATER BOY shifted in which severely impeded STAR RISE causing that greyhound to fall and take no further part in the race. Approaching the turn into the front straight, WAZZA QUEEN was impeded, checked off heels and lost ground.
