Race Reports
Race 1 – HAPPY AUSTRALIA DAY | PM GRADE | 431 M
CROCODILE TEARS was best to begin, GALWAY CLARA was slow. In the first turn LADYLIKE GRACE and BLUE THUNDER BUD checked with both greyhounds losing momentum. At the same time VELOSTAR shifted in and collided into SCOTT NO CLUE causing SCOTT NO CLUE to lose considerable ground. At the turn into the back straight GALWAY CLARA commenced to yield ground.
Race 2 – GREYHOUND ADOPTION PROGRAM | MAIDEN GRADE | 520 M
COOL HAND SAM shifted in sharply after the start and MITCHELL JOHN shifted out after the start which caused interference to the entire field besides NATURAL BLUE, with all greyhounds losing ground to varying degrees. Leaving the first turn SPUR ON checked of the heels shifted out and collided with BOGAN WARRIOR causing both greyhounds to lose significant ground.
Race 3 – SKY RACING | NOVICE GRADE | 431 M
CHARDONNAY MUM was best to begin. SHIELD ME was marginally slow. Approaching the turn into the back straight, BROKEN YOLK checked off heels and then collided with GOTCHA SCOOTIN’, causing both those greyhounds to lose considerable ground. Shortly after BROKEN YOLK checked off heels once again, lost ground and checked into GOTCHA SCOOTIN’ with both greyhounds losing further ground.
Race 4 – WWW.IPSWICHGREYHOUNDS.COM | NOVICE GRADE | 520 M
MY GIRL YASSAM was best to begin. CHEWING SHOES and CHERRY WINE checked on a number of occasions shortly after the start, resulting in both greyhounds losing ground. Leaving the turn into the back straight MY BOUQUET checked off heels and lost ground.
Race 5 – DOVER & SONS | 4 5 GRADE | 431 M
INVICTUS CLIVE was slow to begin. In the first turn the entire field with the exemption of REGAL RECALL, INVICTUS CLIVE and ZILLIE BEAN raced tight and checked, with all losing ground to various degrees. Shortly after MR. GAMBLER checked off heels and lost considerable ground. PEBBLE BAY which was trialing collided heavily into MR. GAMBLER and lost substantial ground as a consequence. LOGAN’S RUN and GALLON which were trialing those greyhounds, were also inconvenienced and also lost substantial ground.
LOGAN’S RUN underwent a post-race veterinary examination no apparent injuries were found.
Race 6 – AUSSIE AUSSIE AUSSIE | 5 GRADE | 520 M
NO MORE CAKE was best to begin. SUPER CETTE was very slow. Approaching the first turn DARBY’S GIRL shifted out, checked off heels and become severely unbalanced, losing significant ground as a result.
DARBY’S GIRL underwent a post-race veterinary examination no apparent injuries were found.
Race 7 – JUST GREYHOUND PHOTOS | 5 GRADE | 431 M
STROGANOFF and PAUA TO LAUNCH checked immediately after the start with both losing momentum as a result. In the first turn and also leaving the turn into the back straight LILY’S BEAN, IMPATIENT KID and SKYLARK BROOKE raced tight and checked on multiple occasions, causing IMPATIENT KID and SKYLARK BROOKE to lose significant ground. In the top turn LILY’S BEAN was impeded and lost momentum.
Race 8 – RIDER LINDEMIER LAVERTY REUNION | 5 GRADE | 431 M
Immediately after the start PRATER’S PROMISE stumbled and checked into SPRING DAPHNE which in turn checked into FRIENDZ with those greyhounds losing ground as a result. Leaving the first turn SPRING DAPHNE collided into PRATER’S PROMISE causing those greyhounds to lose further ground. Approaching the top turn AVAMAY shifted in sharply which severely impeded BULLET PASS, which checked off heels, become severely unbalanced and lost considerable ground. STRUDEL which was trialing then collided into BULLET PASS with both greyhounds losing significant ground as a consequence. BOGAN BELLE which was trialing was also inconvenienced and lost ground. BOGAN BELLE raced very wide through the turn into the front straight.
Race 9 – GJ WALSH & CO | 5 GRADE | 431 M
MISS THICKSHAKE was best to begin. Shortly after the start SPRING EAGLE stumbled and become severely unbalanced, losing considerable ground as a consequence. In the first turn OH SHE GLOWS was tightened for racing room, checked and lost significant ground. Approaching the top turn OH SHE GLOWS shifted in which impeded MJOLINER, which lost momentum.
BULLET PASS underwent a post-race veterinary examination no apparent injuries were found.
Race 10 – ADVANCE AUSTRALIA FAIR | 4 / 5 GRADE | 288 M
CATCH ME KEITH was best to begin. Shortly after start KYLE THE TANK was tightened for racing room and lost momentum. ELEGANT DUK improved onto the rear of that greyhound, causing KYLE THE TANK to lose substantial ground as a consequence. Approaching the top turn ANGEL SHOW was tightened for racing room, checked off heels and lost significant ground. Leaving the top turn PRATER’S RECRUIT was checked and lost ground.
