Race 1 – GREYHOUND ADOPTION PROGRAM Maiden H | M | 431m SPRING IRIS was best to begin. Shortly after the start, SPUR ON and MY BRO FREDO bumped. In the first turn, IKE’S GIRL and LITTLE LONGNECK bumped. Rounding the turn into the back straight, GOTCHA GIFT clipped heels, causing SPUR ON and IKE’S GIRL to be checked and all greyhounds lost ground. Entering the back straight, SPUR ON and IKE’S GIRL collided. In the back straight, GOTCHA GIFT and LITTLE LONGNECK collided. In the front straight, SPUR ON raced wide. FAIRYTALE GIRL - underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have sustained an injury to the near fore metacarpal and was stood down for a period of 14 days.
Race 2 – SKY RACING Maiden H | M | 431m INVAERGARRY MISS was best to begin. Shortly after the start, COOLRADDO, SWISH SWISH and BIG MOUTH bumped. In the first turn, COOLRADDO, SWISH SWISH and INVAERGARRY MISS collided, checking CENTIGRAM and CAPTAIN CORDNER, causing all greyhounds to lose ground to differing degrees. In the back straight, INVAERGARRY MISS raced wide. Rounding the turn into the front straight, JIMARY VIPER and BIG MOUTH bumped, causing JIMARY VIPER to race wide. At the same time, CAPTAIN CORDNER clipped heels. In the front straight, INVERGARRY MISS raced wide.
Race 3 –WWW.IPSWICHGREYHOUNDS.COM Maiden F | M | 431m Even start, with JUST FOR JAKE slow, and CUNNAMULLA FELLA turned its head inwards. Shortly after the start, FORREST NOVA and BIG POM bumped. In the first turn, all greyhounds except CUNNAMULLA FELLA collided, causing SHIAN RUSTY to fall and give no further competitive part in the race. TIPSY FOUR hit the running rail and caused all other greyhounds to lose ground to different degrees. Leaving the first turn, CUNNAMULLA FELLA turned its head outwards.
CUNNAMULLA FELLA underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have no apparent injuries. CUNNAMULLA FELLA received a FTP penalty first offence under Rule 69A and was given a penalty for 28days + 1 trial. SHIAN RUSTY - underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found. TIPSY FOUR – underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.
Race 4 – ALPHA 390 FINANCE | PN | 431m PATCH DE KAHN was best to begin, with SHAKEY TIMES slow. In the first turn, GALWAY WOLFGANG and UNIQUE LEIGH were tightened for racing room and hampered. Entering the back straight, GALWAY WOLFGANG collided with GITCHA DESTINY and LADY SURPRISE, causing GITCHA DESTINY and LADY SURPRISE to lose ground.
Race 5 – DOVER & SONS | NOV | 431m IMMORTAL MAN was best to begin, with WHATTA STORM slow. In the first turn, SPIKE TAIL and BECKONING CANDLE collided, causing SPIKE TAIL to lose significant ground. In the back straight, BECKONING CANDLE and CAWBOURNE ANSON bumped.
SPIKE TAIL - underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have sustained an injury to the near side pin and was stood down for a period of 10 days.
Race 6 – WWW.IPSWICHGREYHOUNDS.COM | GRADE 3/4 | 431m SAIL SURFER was best to begin. Shortly after the start, DAISY DREAMS shifted out, checking all greyhounds except TUBBY TURNER, resulting in all greyhounds to lose ground to different degrees. In the first turn, TUBBY TURNER, PAINTED PICTURE and SPRING THIEF collided. Rounding the turn into the back straight, PAINTED PICTURE and SURFBOARD collided. In the back straight, TICTAC CLOUD clipped heels and lost ground. Rounding the turn into the front straight, SURFBOARD shifted in clipped heels and was hampered.
TUBBY TURNER - underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have sustained an injury to the near hind leg and was stood down for a period of 14 days.
Race 7 – BEENLEIGH LEGAL | GRADE 5 | 520m GALWAY JOHANN was best to begin, with ROSDUE GYPSY marginally slow. Approaching the first turn, JIMARY DYNAMITE clipped heels and lost ground. At the same time, JETYRA BUCKSIN was tightened for room and lost ground.
Race 8 – John Young Memorial Ips 520 F | GRADE 4/5 | 520m BAD BENNY was best to begin, with STRAIT RUM slow. Shortly after the start, HAIGSLEA FLYER, ROSDUE KIRRA and BLUE JILLEM collided and lost ground. Leaving the first turn, HAIGSLEA FLYER and BLUE JILLEM bumped. NEVER WALK ALONE clipped heels and lost ground. In the back straight, NEVER WALK ALONE and STRAIT RUM raced wide. Entering the turn into the front straight, RED HOT GOSSIP clipped heels and was hampered. In the front straight, STRAIT RUM raced wide.
Race 9 – GREYHOUND GEAR | GRADE 5 | 431m Even start. Leaving the first turn SPRING WINE was tightened for racing. SPRING WINE, DOREAS, ALPHA HESTIA and ROSDUE MATAO collided causing ROSDUE MATAO to lose ground and ALPHA HESTIA to fall and give no further competitive part in the race. Leaving the top turn ROSDUE MATAO and IMA TALKER collided causing both greyhounds to lose ground.
ALPHA HESTIA - underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found. CHROME RUN - underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.
Race 10 – WWW.IPSWICHGREYHOUNDS.COM | GRADE 5 | 431m Even start, with BURNING OAK and AILLA marginally slow. In the first turn, all greyhounds except AILLA bumped and were hampered to differing degrees. In the back straight, KYLE THE TANK and REACTOR collided, causing all greyhounds to lose ground. In the front straight, KYLE THE TANK and SPRING RUBY bumped.
