General:

The Club advised Stewards’ that the track surface was power harrowed to a depth of 40mm on Monday, 25 March 2019. When conducting a routine track inspection prior to the meeting Stewards declared the rating of the track surface to be Good.

Race 1: GREYHOUND ADOPTION PROGRAM MAIDEN HEAT 1 – 431m

Angry Angus (1) – bumped with another runner through the first turn and was checked.

City Gent (2) – slow to begin.

Pop Singer (3) – collided with another runner through the first turn and was severely checked.

Spring Lance (4) – collided with another runner through the first turn and was severely checked. Tightened for racing room entering the turn out of the back straight and was momentarily hampered.

Twisted Mischief (5) – bumped with another runner through the first turn and was checked. Tightened for racing room over the concluding stages and was momentarily hampered.

This Kiss (6) – collided with another runner through the first turn and was severely checked.

Try This On (10/7) – bumped by another runner entering the turn out of the back straight and was momentarily hampered.

My Bro Fredo (9/8) – bumped with another runner through the first turn and was checked. Raced wide in the back straight. Shifted inwards entering the turn out of the back straight, bumped with another runner and was momentarily hampered.

Race 2: SKY RACING MAIDEN HEAT 2 – 431m

Gina Ross (10/3) – bumped with another runner shortly after the start and was momentarily hampered. Collided with another runner rounding the turn into the back straight and was checked.

Shian Cody (4) – tightened for racing room between runners at the start and was checked.

Euroa Barney (5) – tightened between runners through the first turn and was checked. Shifted out wider on the turn leaving the back straight.

Spring Napa (6) – slow to begin. Checked out off heels rounding the turn into the back straight, collided with another runner and was severely checked as a consequence. Checked off heels through the turn out of the back straight.

Captain Cordner (7) – tightened between runners through the first turn and was checked. Tightened between runners rounding the turn into the back straight and was checked. Collided with another runner leaving the back straight was checked.

Swish Swish (9/8) – shifted inwards and collided with another runner through the first turn and was checked. Collided with another runner leaving the back straight and was checked.

It Ain't Cyndie (1) – tightened for racing room entering the back straight, was severely checked and lost considerable ground. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities.

Mac Brothers (2) – tightened for racing room entering the back straight and was severely checked. Turned its head outwards and made muzzle contact with another runner rounding the turn into the front straight and lost ground. Again turned its head outwards and made muzzle contact with another runner over the concluding stages and lost considerable ground. Trainer J. McCarthy was advised the greyhound would be stood down pursuant to GAR 69 for Marring. As this was the greyhounds’ first offence, the stand down period will be 28 days at Ipswich and a satisfactory Stewards’ trial must be completed prior to being permitted to race again.

Scott No Clue (3) – Marred by another runner rounding the turn into the front straight and lost ground. Marred by another runner over the concluding stages and lost considerable ground.

Just For Jake (9/4) – slow to begin. Improved onto the hindquarters of another runner when entering the back straight and was severely checked. Raced wide in the back straight.

Spring Iris (5) – bumped with another runner through the turn into the back straight and was momentarily hampered. Collided with another runner when entering the back straight and was severely checked. Tightened for racing room entering the turn out of the back straight and was checked.

Gunnadoo Rebel (7) – checked off heels rounding the turn out of the back straight, became momentarily unbalanced and lost ground.

Bad Credit (8) – slow to begin. Collided with another runner when entering the back straight and was checked.

Race 4: ALPHA 390 FINANCE NOVICE – 431m

Diesel Magic (1) – slow to begin. Tightened for racing room through the first turn and was severely checked.

Spur On (4) – Tightened for racing room through the first turn and was severely checked.

Tuta Single One (5) – Tightened for racing room through the first turn and was severely checked.

Fake News (6) – Tightened for racing room through the first turn and was momentarily hampered.

Race 5: DOVER & SONS NOVICE – 431m

Pay Today (3) – shifted out wider through the first turn and lost ground.

Fast Judgement (4) – slow to begin. Had to check when forced out wider by another runner through the first turn.

Ladylike Grace (8) – checked off heels through the first turn and lost ground.

Wazza Queen (5) – collided with another runner through the first turn and was severely checked.

Burning Oak (10/6) – slow to begin. Bumped with another runner through the first turn and was severely checked. Checked off heels rounding the turn out of the back straight and lost ground.

Lady Crimson (7) – collided with another runner through the first turn and was severely checked.

Rosdue Kola (8) – raced wide in the back straight.

Race 7: BEENLEIGH LEGAL MIXED 4/5 GRADE – 431m

Roi Lear Kahn (2) – tightened for racing room through the first turn and was checked. Tightened for racing room rounding the turn out of the back straight and was momentarily hampered.

Annie Said (3) – tightened for racing room through the first turn and was checked.

Rosdue Misty (4) – shifted inwards through the first turn colliding with other runners and was checked.

Reactor (5) – tightened for racing room shortly after the start and was momentarily hampered. Checked off heels entering the first turn.

Willy Toula (6) – contacted on the hindquarters by another runner through the first turn, was severely checked and lost considerable ground. Bumped by another runner entering the back straight, was checked and lost ground.

Spring Ritchie (7) – marginally slow to begin. Bumped by another runner rounding the turn out of the back straight and was momentarily hampered.

Hara's Hornet (8) – marginally slow to begin.

Race 8: GREYHOUND GEAR GRADE 5 – 520m

Genie's Girl (1) – bumped with another runner entering the turn out of the front straight and lost ground. Marred by another runner rounding the turn into the back straight and lost considerable ground. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities.

Rosdue Gypsy (2) – turn its head outwards and made muzzle contact on a number of occasions when rounding the turn into the back straight losing considerable ground. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities. Trainer T. Chapman was advised that the greyhound would be stood down pursuant to GAR 69 for Marring. As this was the greyhounds’ second offence it will be stood down for 3 months at all tracks and must complete a satisfactory trial after this period before being permitted to race again.

Ebony Mist (3) – tightened for racing room in the front straight on the first occasion and was momentarily hampered.

Anjalie (4) – marginally slow to begin.

Go Wilma Go (7) – checked off heels entering the turn out of the front straight.

Shield Me (8) – bumped by another runner entering the turn out of the front straight and was checked.

Stroganoff (4) – tightened for racing room through the first turn and was checked. Raced wide in the back straight.

Rosdue Shaka (7) – contacted on the hindquarters by another runner through the first turn and was checked. Checked off heels entering the back straight. A postrace veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities.

Race 10: GREYHOUD OF THE YEAR 2009 – IMA DESIGN – 431m

Ailla (1) – tightened for racing room when entering the turn out of the back straight and was checked.

Ima Talker (3) – contacted heavily by another runner rounding the turn into the back straight and was severely checked. Checked off heels rounding the turn out of the back straight.

Spring Angel (4) – checked off heels through the first turn and lost ground. Checked off heels entering the turn out of the back straight.

Count Werina (5) – tightened for racing room rounding the turn into the back straight, checked and shifted outwards colliding with another runner and losing considerable ground.

Beau's Image (6) – bumped with another runner through the first turn and was momentarily hampered.

Outback Mandrake (10/7) – contacted heavily by another runner rounding the turn into the back straight and was severely checked.
