Cambla Yap Yap – Contacted by another runner leaving the turn into the front straight and lost ground. Prince Surfer – Collided with another runner immediately after the start and lost ground. Do The Talking – Raced tight, then collided heavily with another runner leaving the turn into the front straight and lost significant ground. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injury was found. Cougar Baby – Checked off the rear of another runner immediately after the start, then collided into the greyhound racing to its outside and commenced to yield ground, finishing a substantial distance behind the remainder of the field. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have sustained an injury to the off fore leg was stood down for a period of 10 days. Sushi – Marginally slow to begin. Checked off the heels of another runner leaving the top turn and lost ground. Collided with another runner leaving the turn into the front straight and lost ground. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have sustained an injury to the near hip was stood down for a period of 14 days. Trainer Gloria Falla contacted Stewards on 9th April 2019 to inform that a further veterinary examination of Super Cette revealed that it had also sustained an injury to its groin and back. She further stated that she would stand the greyhound down from racing for a period of 1 month to allow it to heal fully from this injury.
