Race 1 – Greyhound Adoption Program Maiden H | Grade M | 431m Bud’s Millar (3) – shifted out in the front straight and come into contact with other runners and lost ground. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have sustained an injury to its offside shoulder, and was stood down from racing for a period of 10 days. Logan River (5) – checked approaching the first turn and lost momentum. Impeded leaving the first turn and lost momentum. Deviated its attention from the lure in the front straight, then began to slow before the finish line. Logan River was subsequently charged under GAR 69a, and was stood down for a period of 28 days at Ipswich and is to complete a Satisfactory Stewards Trial before resuming racing. Emmaville Minner (6) – inconvenienced at the first turn and lost ground. Smashniak Mirage (7) – was marginally slow to begin. Severely impeded at the first turn and lost considerable ground. Scott The Moves (8) – was best to begin. Race 2 – Sky Racing Maiden H | Grade M | 431m Bud’s Hope (2) – extremely slow to begin. Stewards spoke to licensed trainer K. Ollerton in regards to the box manners of the greyhound and in particular to a warning issued at its previous start, for the same behaviour. Subsequently the greyhound was charged under GAR 71 for unsatisfactory performance and will need to complete a Satisfactory Stewards Trial. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have no apparent injuries. Euroa Flex (5) – raced tight and checked with other runners at the first turn and lost ground. Sweet Annie (6) – raced tight and checked with other runners at the first turn and lost ground. My Girl Maisy (7) – raced tight and checked with other runners at the first turn and lost ground. Botanic Mistress (8) – stumbled leaving the turn into the front straight and lost ground. Race 3 – WWW.IPSWICHGREYHOUNDS.COM Maiden F | Grade M | 431m Euroa Barney (1) – checked at the top turn and lost ground. Inciter (2) – best to begin. Stack Up (5) – began awkwardly and was slow as a result. Severely checked leaving the first turn and fell. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an injury to the off hind leg, and was stood down from racing for a period of 28 days. Captain Cordner (10) – jumped from Box 6. Severely checked leaving the first turn and lost substantial ground. Willa (9) – jumped from Box 7. Raced tight and bumped with another runner on a number of occasions in the first turn, losing significant ground. Severely checked leaving the first turn and lost substantial ground. I’M Zac Man (8) – raced tight and bumped with another runner on a number of occasions through the first turn, losing ground as it did. Checked leaving the first turn and lost ground. Impeded at the top turn and lost ground. Race 4 – Alpha 390 Finance | Grade NOV | 431m Forrest Nova (2) – slow to begin. Collided into another runner entering the back straight and lost significant ground. Cougar Lady (3) – best to begin. Stumbled and lost ground entering the back straight, then was severely checked by another runner and lost substantial ground, dropping out shortly after. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an injury to the off pin muscle, and was stood down from racing for a period of 28 days. Naveed (5) – checked at the first turn and lost considerable ground. Fake News (6) – checked entering the front straight and lost momentum. Ike’s Girl (8) – inconvenienced by another runner at the first turn and lost ground. Race 5 – Dover & Sons | Grade 5 | 431m Broke Even (1) – severely checked at the first turn and lost significant ground. Inconvenienced by another runner entering the back straight and lost ground. Rosdue Kola (2) – quick to begin. Fruit Zafonic (4) – checked leaving the first turn and lost ground. Spring Thief (6) – checked off heels entering the back straight and lost considerable ground. Like Billyo (8) – quick to begin. Race 6 – WWW.IPSWICHGREYHOUNDS.COM | Grade 4/5 | 431m Chewing Shoes (1) – shifted out and collided with another runner at the first turn and lost considerable ground. Lafai (2) – quick to begin. La Bamba (5) – inconvenienced by another runner at the first turn and lost considerable ground. Kyle The Tank (6) – checked approaching the first turn and lost ground. Hayley’s Rocket (7) – quick to begin. Checked entering the back straight and lost ground. Spring Angel (8) – severely inconvenienced by another runner at the first turn and lost significant ground. Race 7 – Just Greyhound Photos | Grade 5 | 520m Magic Gypsy (1) – best to begin. Sweet Pursuit (2) – checked leaving the top turn and began to yield ground. Inconvenienced by another runner entering the front straight and lost further ground. Stewards spoke to licensed trainer Brian Baker in regards to the performance of his greyhound, Sweet Pursuit. Mr Baker stated that he was trialling the greyhound over a longer distance today in the hopes that it was able to succeed, and on reflection will probably put it back to the shorter races in future. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have no apparent injuries. Belvedere Babe (4) – impeded, then checked off heels approaching the turn into the front straight, losing ground. Marvista (5) – slow to begin. Bonnie Eileen (6) – slow to begin. Felici Beach (7) – collided into another runner entering the front straight and lost ground. Ebony Mist (8) – inconvenienced by another runner entering the front straight and lost ground. Race 8 – GJ Walsh & Co | Grade 3/4 | 431m Ringbark Bella (1) – severely checked approaching the top turn and lost significant ground. Checked entering the front straight and lost momentum. Zipping Chelse (2) – checked at the first turn and lost ground. Second Gear (4) – checked entering the front straight and lost momentum. Velocity Linder (5) – checked entering the back straight and lost considerable ground. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an injury to the near hip, and was stood down from racing for a period of 7 days. That Houdini (6) – checked entering the front straight and lost momentum. Rosdue Misty (7) – quick to begin. Checked at the first turn and lost significant ground. Love The Look (8) – quick to begin. Checked in the top turn and lost ground. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an injury to the off fore leg, and was stood down from racing for a period of 10 days.
