Other Comments / Explanations: R4 Dynamite Daisy. Stewards spoke to trainer Karen Tribe regarding the seemingly improved performance of the greyhound and the heavy support on the fixed odds markets. Mrs Tribe stated that her and her husband had not supported the greyhound financially. She stated that whilst the greyhound had been racing recently at Capalaba it had trialled well over the 431m at Ipswich and they were hoping for an improved performance today over the 288m. Stewards noted Mrs Tribes explanation. Race 1 – TAB MAIDEN (1) 288m 2 Brave Suzy Severely checked at the turn after the back straight. 3 Diesel's Charlie Ran wide in the back straight. Bumped with another runner approaching the winning post. 4 Party Pet Bumped with another runner approaching the winning post. 5 Rosie Rose Checked at the first turn. 6 Haigslea Rose Raced wide at the turn after the back straight. 8 Pass The Sauce Slow to begin.
Race 2 – SKY RACING MAIDEN (2) 288m 1 Alpha Tyche Checked at the first turn. Underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to be suffering a near hind leg injury and stood down for 10 days. 2 Macalister Sandy Slow to begin 5 Miss Ladybird Checked at the first turn. Clipped from behind became unbalanced and fell, taking no competitive part in the event. Underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to be suffering no apparent injuries. 6 Louisiana Flyer Checked at the first turn. 7 Three Horn Shifted in at the first turn 8 Ned Go Dreams Checked at the first turn. Improved onto the heels of another runner shortly after became unbalanced and fell, taking no competitive part in the event. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to be suffering from no apparent injuries.
