Momentarily hampered in the home straight by another runner. 6 Uncle Leo – bumped shortly after the start. 8 Farmor Sambuca – bumped shortly after the start. 10 Miss Ladybird – bumped through the first turn then checked out off heels and lost considerable ground. Race 4 – DOVER & SONS NOVICE (1) 431m 1 Jayville Torpedo – was permitted a weight variation of 30.1 – 31.5 (1.4kg) under the provisions of GAR 39(2). 2 Duck Inn – bumped at the start. Tightened for room, severely checked, made heavy contact with the running rail and subsequently fell when leaving the back straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed bruising to the nearside hind leg and was stood down for 10 days. 8 Alpha Alvis – A post-race veterinary examination did not reveal any abnormalities. Checked off heels through the first turn. Shifted wide on the turn leaving the back straight avoiding contact with a fallen runner. Race 5 – ADVENTURE TOURISM NOVICE (2) 431m 1 Miss Conduct – A pre-race veterinary examination passed the greyhound fit to start. Slow to begin. Lost ground after being severely checked through the first turn. Checked off heels rounding the turn out of the back straight. 2 Spring Motion – slow to begin. Checked when rounding the turn into the back straight. 6 Forgotten – checked shortly after the start when tightened for room. Severely checked through the first turn when tightened for room and lost ground. 8 Werina Goes Bang- collided with other runners through the first turn and lost ground. Bumped with another runner in the home straight. 3 Coopes – Lost ground after checking off heels when leaving the back straight. 4 Alpha Hestia – declared a late scratching at 1.22pm when found to be more than the permitted weight variation under the provisions of GAR 39(1).
