Other Comments / Explanations: “Due to Government advice around COVID-19, in accordance with GAR 51(10), the Stewards directed the Starter to box the greyhounds into the starting boxes in the following order, 1 & 5, followed by 3 & 7, followed by 2 & 6, followed by 4 & 8 for all races”
Race 1 - TAB MAIDEN HEAT 1 MAIDEN 431m 1 Snow White Ice – Hampered by another runner approaching the turn into the back straight. 2 Cliffy Makutu - Hampered by another runner approaching the turn into the back straight. 3 Brae Bear – Contacted on the hindquarters by another runner rounding the turn into the back straight. 5 Joban – Severely checked another runner entering the back straight and lost considerable ground. 6 Team Austria - Severely checked another runner entering the back straight and lost considerable ground. 7 Darcon Lass – Checked by another runner in the back straight and lost ground. 9 Off Break – Tightened for room and checked by another runner rounding the turn into the back straight. Race 2 – SKY RACING MAIDEN HEAT 2 MAIDEN 431m 1 Bag Of Pearls – Clipped the heels of another runner entering the back straight. 2 Austria's Heidi – Was contacted on the hindquarters by another runner exiting the back straight. 3 Maywyn Hersheys – Bumped another runner shortly after the start. 4 Wildey Beast - Bumped another runner shortly after the start. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to its near-hind leg and was given a 10-day stand-down from racing. 4 Villa Lucky – Checked another runner rounding the turn into the back straight. 5 Tough Elle – Best to begin. 6 Planetary Pup – Checked by another runner rounding the turn into the back straight and lost ground. 7 Farmor Northerns – Was contacted on the hindquarters by another runner rounding the turn into the back straight
Race 4 – DOVER & SONS NOVICE 431m (Race start delayed due to greyhound “Spring Pirate” being placed in the incorrect box. Pursuant to R20(3)(f) Stewards ordered the examination of the greyhound to ascertain its fitness to start. Spring Pirate underwent a pre-race veterinary examination and was passed fit to race. A subsequent inquiry was undertaken with the handler of the greyhound who was asked to show a better adherence to the rules during the boxing procedure in future). 3 Spring Pirate – Underwent a pre-race veterinary examination and was passed fit to race. Contacted on the hindquarters by another runner rounding the turn into the back straight. 4 Miss Conduct – Clipped the heels of another runner exiting the back straight. 5 Trounced – Tightened for room and was checked rounding the turn into the back straight. 6 Dark Zorro - Bumped another runner shortly after the start. 7 Why Catcher – Bumped another runner shortly after the start.
