General:

Due to Government advice around COVID-19, in accordance with GAR 51(10), the Stewards directed the Starter to box the greyhounds into the starting boxes in the following order, 1 & 5, followed by 3 & 7, followed by 2 & 6, followed by 4 & 8 for all races

Race 1 - TAB MDNPW 288m

2 Amalfi Coast- Tightened for room entering the first turn and was checked.

3 Hammer Drill- Had its heels contacted entering the first turn and was checked.

4 Krispy Oreo- Quick to begin.

5 Austria's Abby- Slow to begin.

7 Sizing Platinum- Had its heels contacted entering the first turn and was checked. Bumped the running rail when racing through the first turn. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination which revealed no significant findings. Stewards requested Mr. Mutton inform the stewards pursuant to GAR75(2) should anything that might have a bearing on past or future running of Sizing Platinum come to notice of the trainer after the greyhound has left the course, it shall be reported to the stewards as soon as practicable.

Race 2 - SKY RACING MAIDEN 288m

1 Add Flash- Quick to begin. Collided with another runner approaching the first turn and was checked. Raced wide in home straight.

2 Stylish Rage- Tightened for room entering the first turn and was checked.

3 Double Will- Tightened between runners approaching the first turn, had its heels contacted by trailing runner and was severely checked. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination which revealed an injury to the near hind toe and was stood down for a period of 7 days.

4 Hello Newman- Quick to begin.

5 Cabernet Merlot- Raced wide in home straight.

6 Row Row- Contacted the heels of another runner entering the first turn and was checked.

7 Catch Me Katie- Slow to begin.

1 Myra's Girl- Shifted wider on the track racing through the first turn, checked off heels and was hampered.

2 Bay- Quick to begin. Raced wide in home straight.  

3 Gers Dream- Tightened by outside runner approaching the first turn and was hampered.

5 Zabdon Nunes- Tightened by outside runner approaching the first turn and was checked. Contacted the heels on another runner entering the first turn and was checked, bumped with trailing runner and lost further ground. 

6 Fear The Spirits- Slow to begin. Forced to race rider on the track to avoid interference when entering the first turn. 

Race 4 - GREYHOUND_DATA.COM MA5 431m

2 Annie Said- Quick to begin.

4 Chippies- Collided with another runner through the first turn an was checked.

5 Click Cowan- Collided with another runner through the first turn an was checked.

6 Bogan Dancer- Collided with another runner through the first turn an was checked.

8 Eye Hate Cake- Raced wide throughout.

Race 5 - DOVER & SONS 5TH GRADE HEAT 1 GRADE 5 431m

1 Federal Morgan- Quick to begin.

2 Revolution Hook-  Collided with another runner through the first turn and was checked.

3 Won't Stop Her- Collided with another runner through the first turn and was checked. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination which revealed an injury to the off fore foot and was stood down for a period of 14 days. Mr Shaxson the trainer of Won’t Stop Her reported to stewards that he will consider retiring the greyhound.

6 Girl Like Her- Slow to begin.

8 Frosty Cowboy- Shortened stride through the first turn and raced ungenerously throughout the remainder of the event. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination which revealed an injury to the near fore foot and was stood down for a period of 10 days.

Race 6 - ADVENTURE TOURISM AUSTRALIA 5TH GRADE HEAT 2 GRADE 5 431m

1 Spring Cleo- Quick to begin.

2 Headliner- Bumped by outside runner shortly after the start.

3 Bronze Horseman- Marginally slow to begin. Bumped with another runner shortly after start and was hampered.

4 Flying September- Tightened for room immediately after the start and was checked.

5 Wildash Billy- Wide in back straight.

6 Team Austria- Collided with another runner through the first turn and was checked.

7 Gentleman Jack- Contacted the heels of another runner through the first turn, severely checked and fell. Trailed field for remainder of event. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination which revealed no significant findings. Stewards requested Mr. Neary inform the stewards pursuant to GAR75(2) should anything that might have a bearing on past or future running of Gentleman Jack come to notice of the trainer after the greyhound has left the course, it shall be reported to the stewards as soon as practicable.

1 Hara's Olaf- Shifted inwards towards the rail immediately after the start and was hampered. Tightened for room entering the back straight, contacted heels of another runner and was checked. Mr Russell told stewards that Hara’s Olaf has recently developed a trait of looking for a the rail immediately after the start and was confident that the inside box would suit the greyhound. The early speed of Go Emmy Go racing to its outside was predicted however expected a better early performance from Hara’s Olaf. Mr Russell further stated that the greyhound is still only young, developing confidence and was happy with how Hara’s Olaf finished off the race.

2 Go Emmy Go- Quick to begin.

4 Khandela- Slow to begin.

10 (Box 5) Vinnia Bale- Had its heels contacted entering the back straight and was checked.

Race 8 - GREG STERNBERG VET SURGEON MIXED 3/4 431m

2 Pre Cruise- Quick to begin.

3 Spring Daphne- Slow to begin.

5 Cakes All Round- Collided with another runner through the first turn and was checked. 

7 Logan's Run- Quick to begin. Collided with another runner entering the turn out of the back straight and was checked. Retired from the race and appeared injured. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination which revealed a severely broken offside hock and was subsequently humanly euthanised.

8 Peter Talks- Bumped with another runner through the first turn. Inconvenienced through the turn out of the back straight by weakening runner.

Race 9 - TAB 5TH GRADE HEAT 3 GRADE 5 431m

1 Awesome Dream- Collided with another runner through the first turn and was checked. Turned its head inwards towards bumping with another runner approaching the finish line . Stewards spoke to trainer Mr Pasterfield, regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching in the finish line. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69A(1), Awesome Dream was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Awesome Dancer is suspended for a period of 28 days at Ipswich and must perform a Satisfactory Trial pursuant to GAR 69A(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

2 Spring Curly- Contacted the heels of another runner entering the back straight and was checked. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination which did not reveal any abnormalities. Stewards stoke to trainer Mrs P Byers regarding Springs Curlys actions entering the back straight shortly after being checked. After considering the matter, in particular the fact that the greyhound was checked and had its momentum altered, stewards could not be comfortably satisfied that Spring Curly had offended under any rules of racing and was given the benefit of doubt. Stewards requested Mrs Byers inform the stewards pursuant to GAR75(2) should anything that might have a bearing on past or future running of Spring Curly come to notice of the trainer after the greyhound has left the course, it shall be reported to the stewards as soon as practicable. 

3 Shuri- Began awkwardly, bumping with runner to its outside and lost ground. Bumped the running rail entering the first turn. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination which revealed no significant findings. Stewards requested Mr Campbell inform the stewards pursuant to GAR75(2) should anything that might have a bearing on past or future running of Shuri come to notice of the trainer after the greyhound has left the course, it shall be reported to the stewards as soon as practicable. 

6 Minnie Jojo- Quick to begin. Bumped with another runner approaching the finish line.

2 Nandruku- Quick to begin.

3 Zabdon Charlie- Slow to begin. Contacted the heels of another runner approaching the first turn and was checked. Collided with another runner when racing through the first turn, severely checked and fell trailing the field for the remainder of the event. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination which revealed no significant findings. Stewards requested Mr Snow inform the stewards pursuant to GAR75(2) should anything that might have a bearing on past or future running of Zabdon Charlie come to notice of the trainer after the greyhound has left the course, it shall be reported to the stewards as soon as practicable. 

4 Ima Necromancer- Collided with another runner entering the first turn and was checked. Collided with another runner when racing through the first turn, severely checked and fell trailing the field for the remainder of the event. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination which revealed no significant findings. Stewards requested Mr Bock inform the stewards pursuant to GAR75(2) should anything that might have a bearing on past or future running of Ima Necromancer come to notice of the trainer after the greyhound has left the course, it shall be reported to the stewards as soon as practicable.

5 Wild Fantasy- Had its heels contacted approaching the first turn and was checked. Collided with another runner racing through the first turn and was severely checked.

6 Zephyr Zip-  Collided with another runner entering the first turn and was checked. Collided with another runner racing through the first turn and was severely checked.
