4 Patricia's Pride - Bumped another runner shortly after the start.

 

 

 

5 Farmor Rowdy - Bumped another runner shortly after the start.

 

 

 

6 Stay Warm Daniel – Checked shortly after the start. In the home straight, turned head and made muzzle contact with another runner. Stewards spoke to trainer D Johnstone regarding the greyhound’s racing manners in the home straight. After viewing the video footage acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1) as this was the greyhound’s second (2nd) offence under this rule Stay Warm Daniel was suspended from racing for three (3) months at all tracks and must perform a satisfactory steward’s trial before racing next.

Race 3 - GREYHOUND SWEEPSTAKES AT EKKA - 8 AUGUST NOVICE (1) 431m

 

 

 

1 Camino Angel - Checked numerous occasions after the start. Ran on to heals leaving the top turn, losing ground.

 

 

 

2 Fast And Fabio - Checked shortly after the start.

 

 

 

3 Kayden's Star - Checked shortly after the start. Bumped back straight.

 

 

 

4 Out For Revenge - Checked shortly after the start. Bumped back straight.

 

 

 

5 Disney Cool – Severely checked shortly after the start. Raced wide back straight. Raced wide home straight. Underwent post veterinary examination, revealed an injury to the offside hind split webbing and was stood down from racing for a period of ten (10) days.

6 Balciano - Checked shortly after the start. Clipped heals of another runner becoming off balanced and fell leaving the first turn. Underwent post veterinary examination. No significant findings.

8 Dodgy Dave - Checked shortly after the start. Severely checked leaving the first turn took no competitive part in the remainder of the race. Underwent post veterinary examination. No significant findings.

 

 

 

Race 5 - CHASE NEWSPAPER MIXED 4/5 431m

 

 

 

1 Blazing Apollo – Checked leaving the first turn. Clipped heals leaving the top turn, losing ground.

 

 

 

4 Lucky Unicorn – Checked entering the first turn.

 

 

 

5 Coolraddo - Checked shortly after the start. Checked back straight. Checked and impeded by another runner in the home straight.

 

 

 

6 Stay Warm Bear - Checked shortly after the start. Checked back straight. Raced wide back straight. Checked leaving the top turn.

 

 

 

7 Blazin' Bazza – Bumped another runner shortly after the start. Entering the home straight, turned head and made muzzle contact with another runner. Stewards spoke to trainer K Davies regarding the greyhound’s racing manners in the home straight.  After viewing the video footage acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1) as this was the greyhound’s second (2nd) offence under this rule Blazin’ Bazza was suspended from racing for three (3) months at all tracks and must perform a satisfactory steward’s trial before racing next.
