General: 23-10-2021 - Stewards followed up with trainer Merv Page in regards to Light the Gas who was injured at yesterday’s event. Mr Page advised the greyhound was found to have a fracture to the stopper bone and is being treated at Laidley Veterinary Clinic.

Race 1 - TAB LIVE SKY RACING VISION MAIDEN HEAT 1 MAIDEN 288m

2 Molly Coddled – Checked and lost ground approaching the first turn, raced wide around the home turn and in the home straight. A subsequent post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.

3 Pretty Fernando – Checked approaching the first turn, checked off heels approaching the winning post.

4 Mini Me Sinclair – Bumped with another runner in the back straight, checked approaching the first turn.

5 King's Joy – Checked approaching the first turn.

6 Small Harbour – Checked off heels approaching the winning post.

7 Glen Gavan – Bumped with another runner in the back straight, checked approaching the first turn.

8 Cheeky Chaser – Inconvenienced approaching the first turn.

Race 2 - SKY RACING MAIDEN HEAT 2 MAIDEN 288m

1 Dot Moo Moo – Checked in the back straight. A subsequent post-race veterinary examination revealed the greyhound to have a near side pin injury and has been stood down from racing for 7 days.

2 Be Serious – Checked in the back straight.

4 Sabrina Bean – Went up with the lids and was slow to begin, raced wide in the home straight.

6 Sonny The Slayer - Bumped with another runner in the back straight, bumped with another runner rounding the home turn, raced wide in the home straight.

7 Kingsbrae Rose – Bumped with another runner in the back straight, checked off heels approaching the first turn.

8 Speckles – Checked off heels entering the home turn, bumped with another runner rounding the home turn.

4 Light The Gas – Checked soon after the start. A subsequent post-race veterinary examination revealed an offside wrist injury, the greyhound has been referred Laidley Veterinary Clinic for further assessment and the incident will be referred to the injury review panel. Light the Gas has been stood down from racing for 28 days and must complete a satisfactory steward’s trial prior to racing next.

2 My Friend Max – Checked off heels approaching the first, raced wide rounding the home turn. A subsequent post-race veterinary examination revealed the greyhound to have a near side hind leg injury, the greyhound has been stood down from racing for 10 days.
