9 Mojo's Redeemer (5) – Slow to begin, severally checked on the first turn. A subsequent post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.

Race 2 - SKY RACING MAIDEN FINAL MAIDEN 2 520m

1 Where's The King – Severally checked and fell on the first turn and took no further competitive part in the event. A subsequent post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.

2 Fleet Feet Pete – Severally checked and lost ground on the first turn. A subsequent post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.

Stewards spoke to trainer Mr Stephen Sherwell regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the winning post where it appeared to turn its head inwards, after considering all possible evidence stewards could not be fully satisfied that the incident was before the greyhound passed the winning post therefore have given the greyhound the benefit of the doubt on this occasion.

3 It's A Cruise – Checked entering the first turn. A subsequent post-race veterinary examination revealed a near side hip injury and as been stood down for 10 days.

Trainer Mr Brent Kline was advised of Steward’s concerns regarding his greyhound’s actions rounding the first turn. After considering all available evidence, the greyhound was given the benefit of the doubt if it had contravened any rule.

4 Polarising – Checked soon after the start, checked off heels in the front straight.

5 Zipping Rafferty – Bumped approaching the first turn.

6 Faith In Norris – Checked soon after the start.

7 Power Moves – Checked soon after the start, checked entering the first turn.

8 Fire Drill – Checked and taken wide by another runner entering the first turn.

Race 8 - CHASE NEWSPAPER 5TH GRADE FINAL GRADE 5 2 520m

2 State Of Rage – Checked entering the first turn, bumped with another runner in the back straight.

3 Unique Maurice – Slow to begin, checked entering the first turn.

4 Ringbark Bound – Slow to begin, checked soon after the start.

8 Lucky Lindy – Bumped with another then gave ground entering the back straight. A subsequent post-race veterinary examination revealed a near side triceps injury and has been stood down 10 days

Race 10 - WHITE ROSE BOARDING KENNELS 5PW 2 520m

2 Red Wombat – Underwent a post-race veterinary examination after being injured in the catching pen which revealed the greyhound to have an off side should injury and has been stood down for 5 days.

3 Balciano – Checked in the front straight.

4 Patricia's Pride – Bumped with another runner on a number of occasions in the front straight, checked and hit the rail entering the first turn. A subsequent post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.

5 Cake Is Good – Bumped with another runner on a number of occasions in the front straight.

6 Kiarni Connor – Bumped with another runner on a number of occasions in the front straight. Gave ground in the home straight. A subsequent post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings. Trainer Mr Michael Edwards stated the greyhound is better suited to shorter distance races and intends to find a race over a more suitable distances in the future. Stewards noted the explanation.

8 Zabdon La Miesha - A subsequent post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings. Steward’s spoke to trainer Mr Lawrence Topping regarding the greyhound’s racing actions in the back straight and approaching the winning post. Stewards viewed the video replay and considered submissions from the trainer and the veterinary report. Stewards deemed that Zabdon La Miesha had eased on two occasions, therefore stewards invoked GAR 69(A) Fail to Pursue 2nd offence – 3 months stand down at all tracks and must complete a satisfactory steward’s trial prior to racing next.

Race 11 – TAB MIXED 4/5 2 431m

1 Bailey – Checked on the first turn.

2 Black Magic Mojo – Checked on the first turn, hit the rail entering the home turn. A subsequent post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.

4 Spring Duty – Checked on the first turn.

5 Buck Or Two – Slow to begin, checked approaching the home turn.

6 Little Bit Tipsy – Checked on the first turn, checked approaching the home turn, checked rounding the home turn, checked off heels in the home straight.

7 Cockney Pride – Checked on the first turn.

8 Stay Warm Zac – Checked on the first turn.

1 Saltarello - A subsequent post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings. Steward’s spoke to trainer Mr Drew Pearce regarding the greyhound’s racing manners rounding the home turn. Stewards viewed the video replay and considered submissions from the trainer and the veterinary report. Stewards deemed that Saltarello had eased and turned its head outwards, therefore stewards invoked GAR 69(A) Fail to Pursue 2nd offence – 3 months stand down at all tracks and must complete a satisfactory steward’s trial prior to racing next.
