Race 1 - TAB LONG MAY WE PLAY MAIDEN (1) 288m

4 What A Nugget Visibly eased on several occasions in the home straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent injury. Stewards spoke to trainer M Evans regarding the greyhounds’ racing matters in the home straight. After viewing the video footage acting under the provisions of GAR 69(a) What A Nugget was suspended from racing for 28 days at Ipswich and must perform a satisfactory trial prior to racing next.

8 Young Tiger Severely checked and fell entering the turn out of the back straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent injury.

Race 2 - SKY RACING MAIDEN (2) 288m

5 Good Chat Mort Tightened for room entering the turn out of the back straight.

7 Uncle Charlie Checked coming out of the boxes. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent injury.

2 Take A Sip Tripped leaving the boxes.

5 Dying Bryan Checked entering the turn out of the back straight.

6 Hotel Woolshed Collided with another runner on several occasions leaving the turn into the home straight. Bumped on several occasions approaching the finish.

7 Pretty Fernando Collided with another runner on several occasions leaving the turn into the home straight. Bumped on several occasions approaching the finish. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent injury. Stewards spoke to trainers representative Sheryl Clarke regarding the racing matters of Pretty Fernando in the home straight, after reviewing the available evidence, stewards decided on this occasion to give the greyhound the benefit of the doubt.

8 Expat Corsair Severely checked and fell entering the turn out of the back straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to the near side shoulder 7 days stand down from racing.

A post-race veterinary examination revealed a hock injury, 90 days stand down from racing and trial required prior to racing next. This matter will be referred to the Greyhound Racing Injury Review Panel.
