4 Federal Pearl – Slow to begin, checked on the first turn.

5 Living Spirit – Slow to begin, bumped with another runner soon after the start, checked on the first turn, checked off heels in the front straight.

6 Thybulle – Late scratching at 1.20pm – weight variation. Trainer D Johnstone fined $100.

Race 4 - DOVER & SONS GRADE 5 (1) 431m

1 Spring Maple – Checked soon after the start, checked rounding the first turn, checked then collided with another runner rounding the home turn. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.

2 Hearts Colliding – Checked soon after the start, checked approaching the home turn.

3 Senorita Maywyn – Checked soon after the start, checked rounding the first turn.

4 Reggie's Brother – Checked off heels approaching the home turn.

5 Dianne's Boy – Checked and lost ground rounding the first turn.

6 Daphne Moo Moo – Checked rounding the first turn, checked off heels then collided with another runner rounding the home turn. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings. Steward’s spoke to trainer Mr D Johnstone regarding the greyhound’s racing actions rounding the home turn. Stewards viewed the video replay and considered submissions from the trainer and the veterinary report. Stewards deemed that Daphne Moo Moo had turn outwards taking its attention away from the lure, therefore stewards invoked GAR 69(A) Fail to Pursue 1st offence - 28 day stand down at Ipswich and must complete a satisfactory steward’s trial prior to racing next.

Race 5 - GARRARD'S HORSE & HOUND NMW 520m

1 Cow Palace – Checked across heels in the front straight, dragged down from behind in the back straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a near hind foot injury the greyhound has been stood down for 10 days.

2 Morning Mocha – Bumped with another runner approaching the home turn.

3 Austrian Beauty – Checked and lost ground entering the back straight.

4 Ruby's Angel – Checked in the front straight.

5 Double Digit – Went up with the lids, checked in the front straight, checked in the back straight.

7 Patricia's Pride – Checked in the front straight, checked entering the back straight.

8 Jedi Return – Bumped with another runner approaching the home turn.

1 Maywyn Idris – Slow to begin, checked and hit the rail approaching the first turn. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.

2 Ringbark Thunder – Checked approaching the first turn.

3 Victim Of Crime – Checked approaching the first turn, checked rounding the first turn, checked rounding the home turn.

4 Old Money – Checked soon after the start, checked rounding the first turn, checked rounding the home turn.

5 Any Given Sunday – Checked approaching the first turn.

6 Wilma's Shadow – Gave ground on the first turn and took no further competitive apart in the event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a chest muscle injury the greyhound has been stood down for 10 days.

7 Polarising – Faulted in its action rounding the home turn and took no further competitive part in the event. A subsequent post-race veterinary examination revealed the greyhound to have a serious injury to the near side hock, the greyhound has been treated and is to be taken to North Lake Vet Centre for further assessment, the incident will be referred to the injury review panel. Polarising has been stood down for 12 weeks and must complete a satisfactory steward’s trial prior to racing next.

Race 7 - GJ WALSH & CO MIXED 1/2 431m

1 Cockney Pride – Checked rounding the first turn.

4 Spring Cleo – Checked rounding the first turn.

6 Elastic Bairn – Slow to begin, checked soon after the start.
