Race 2 - SKY RACING MAIDEN (2) 431m

1 Hachey Boy - Checked rounding the first turn.

2 This Is Sirius – Checked rounding the first turn.

3 Double Tara – Checked and hit the rail entering the home turn. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.

4 Lucky Dragon - Checked rounding the first turn, faulted in its action in the back straight and took no further competitive part in the event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a near side pin injury the greyhound has been stood down for 14 days.

5 Flying Megs - Checked rounding the first turn.

6 Perfect Pins – Slow to begin, hit the rail rounding the first turn then trailed the field for the remainder of the event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a near hind leg injury the greyhound has been stood down for 10 days.

7 Dodgy Mick – Checked rounding the first turn.

8 Auriga Lucille – Checked rounding the first turn. Turned its head inwards towards another runner taking its attention away from the lure in the home straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings. Steward’s spoke to trainer Geoff Draheim regarding the greyhound’s racing manners. After viewing the video replay and considered submissions from the trainer and the veterinary report, Stewards invoked GAR 124(1) Fail to Pursue 2nd offence - 28 day stand down at all tracks and must complete a satisfactory steward’s trial prior to racing next. Mr Draheim advised the greyhound will now be retired.

Race 4 - DOVER & SONS NOVICE (2) 431m

2 Zack – Checked soon after the start, checked and hit the rail rounding the first turn. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.

3 Yogi's Girl – Severely checked and fell entering the back straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.

5 Auriga Rachel – Slow to begin, checked rounding the first turn.

6 Bogie Lightning – Checked across heels in the home straight.

7 Farmor Attitude – Checked rounding the first turn, inconvenienced entering the back straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.
