Race 1 - TAB MAKE A DATE WITH PLAY MAIDEN (1) 288m

1 Frosty Cake – Into the 1^st turn was checked.

2 Simmering – Slow to begin.

4 Brodie's Dream – In the home straight turned head outwards taking its attention away from the lure. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities. Stewards spoke to trainer Kerry Ollerton regarding the greyhound’s racing manners in the home straight, after reviewing the video replay and the submissions from Mr Ollerton, Stewards invoked GAR 124(1) Failing to purse. As this was the greyhound’s 1st offence under this rule Brodie’s Dream was suspended from racing at Ipswich for 28 days and until the completion of a satisfactory steward’s trial prior to racing next.

6 True Blue – Slow to begin.

7 Wildash Ability – Shortly after the start was checked.

9 Cool Hand Jane (8) – Near the finish shifted in colliding with anther runner. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities.

Race 2 - SKY RACING MAIDEN (2) 288m

1 Go Girl – Into the 1^st turn was severely checked.

3 Rosdue Kodiak – Into the 1^st turn was galloped on and checked, through the 1^st turn improved onto heels.

4 Wildash Joan – Into the 1^st turn was severely checked.

5 Unlimited Wolf – Through the 1^st turn was inconvenienced.

7 Black Patch – Into the 1^st turn was severely checked.

8 Brockies Promise – Into the 1^st turn was severely checked.

2 She's So Gnarley – Approaching the back turn improved onto heels making contact with the running rail and was severely checked. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities.

4 Queen Of Cakes – Slow to begin.

5 Madam Waltz – Shortly after the start was tightened and checked, leaving the 1^st turn was tightened.

8 Wildash Turbo – Slow to begin, through the 1^st turn was inconvenienced, leaving the 1^st turn was checked, approaching the back turn improved onto heels, into the back turn made contact with the running rail. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the greyhound to have sustained an injury to its chest and was stood down from racing for 7 days.
