Race 1 - TAB MAKE A DATE WITH PLAY NOVICE 2 520m

3 Silver Sticks Checked at the start and lost ground.  Marred by another runner in the home straight and lost ground.

4 Side Kick Checked at the start and lost ground.  Checked at the entrance of the back straight and lost ground.  Shifted in and bumped the running rail at the turn after the back straight. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination which revealed no apparent abnormalities.

5 Black Watch Checked at the start and lost ground.  Underwent a post-race veterinary examination which revealed no apparent abnormalities

7 Battlefield Shifted out in the home straight and made muzzle contact with the runner to its outside.  The greyhound was charged under Gar 123 marring 1st offence and stood down for 28 days at Ipswich and must complete a satisfactory trial prior to nomination.

1 Paw It On Checked at the turn after the back straight and lost ground.

2 Burned Checked at the first turn and lost ground.

4 Key West Checked at the first turn and lost ground.

5 Power Moves Checked at the first turn and lost ground. Checked at the turn after the back straight and lost ground.

7 Black Zircon Checked shortly after the start and lost ground. Checked at the turn after the back straight and lost ground.

Race 4 - DOVER & SONS 0-3 WINS 3 630m

6 Runway Emma Checked at the first turn and lost ground.

8 Seldom Seen Kid Checked and fell at the first turn taking no competitive part in the event.  Underwent a post-race veterinary examination which revealed no apparent abnormalities.

Race 5 - IPSWICH YOUNG GUNS (L) HEAT 1 OPEN 2 520m

1 Embrace Shifted off heels at the end of the front straight and checked numerous runners.

2 Queenslander Checked at the end of the front straight and lost ground.

3 High Sun Checked at the end of the front straight and lost ground.  Checked at the entrance of the back straight and lost ground.  Underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to be suffering near side hind webbing injury and stood down for 14 days.

6 Shrouded Checked at the end of the front straight and lost ground.

7 Wildash Uncle Checked shortly after the start and lost ground. Checked at the entrance of the back straight and lost ground.

7 Aerospace Appeared to sustain and injury approaching the first turn and  took no further competitive part in the event.  Underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to be suffering from an offside pin injury and stood down for 28 days.  The greyhound must complete a solo veterinary trial prior to nomination.

8 Boxing On Checked at the first turn and lost ground.

9 Cake Is Good (2) Checked at the first turn and lost ground.

9 (3) Spring Aster Stewards spoke to trainer Mr P Shaxson regarding the greyhounds seeming improved performance.  Mr Shaxson stated that the greyhound had been unlucky at its previous couple of performances and was expecting an improved performance with a clear run in tonight event. Stewards noted Mr Shaxsons’ comments.
