Race 1 - TAB VENUE MODE MAIDEN HEAT 1 MAIDEN 431m

1 Dominant Pride – Checked entering the first turn.

2 My Genie – Checked after the start. Checked rounding the first turn.

3 Shanti – Checked after the start. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have sustained an injury to the near hind leg. The greyhound was stood down from racing for 10 days.

5 Spot Me – Checked after the start. Checked rounding the first turn. Checked off heels rounding the final turn.

6 Flying Promise – Checked entering and rounding the first turn. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have sustained an injury to the near hind webbing. The greyhound was stood down from racing for 10 days.

Race 2 - SKY RACING MAIDEN HEAT 2 MAIDEN 431m

1 Second Stringer – Checked entering the back straight. Severely checked approaching the top turn.

2 Rocket Reddy – Checked after the start. Turned its head inwards in the home straight. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an injury to the near fore webbing, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.  Stewards spoke to trainer Mr Darren Johnstone, regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 125, Rocket Reddy was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment by reason of injury. The greyhound must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 125, before any future nomination will be accepted.

3 Debt Collector – Checked entering the first turn.

4 Black Monaro - Checked after the start. Severely checked and fell entering the back turn. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant abnormalities.

5 Spring Beau – Checked after the start.

6 Manuka Duck – Checked after the start.

9 King Kiki (8) – Tightened for racing room, checked and fell approaching the top turn. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant abnormalities.

1 Alpha Tiara – Checked rounding the first turn.

2 Wendy Maree – Checked rounding the first turn.

6 Lincoln's Mercy – Eased approaching the first turn. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant abnormalities. Stewards spoke to Mr Noel Evans the trainer of Lincoln’s Mercy regarding the greyhound’s racing manners approaching the first turn.  Acting under the provisions of GAR 124 Lincoln’s Mercy was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment.  As this was Lincoln’s Mercy’s 1st offence the greyhound was suspended for 28days at Ipswich and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 124, before any future nomination will be accepted.

8 Just Firebug – Stewards removed the hard to box from the greyhound.

4 Tuta Edge – Checked entering the back straight.

5 Spring Betty – Checked after the start.

6 Spring Aster – Checked rounding the first turn.
