Race 1 - TAB VENUE MODE MAIDEN 431m

2 Bacardi Storm – Severely checked and lost ground in the back straight. Tailed the field for the remainder of the event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the greyhound to have sustained an injury to the chest muscle and was subsequently stood down for 10 days.

4 Black Monaro – Checked rounding the first turn.

6 Can't Extend – Slow to begin. Checked rounding the first turn.

7 Smokey Chet – Checked rounding the first turn.

8 Peking Goose – Checked rounding the first turn.

Race 2 - SKY RACING MDNPW 431m

2 Ninja Blues – Severely checked entering the back straight and commenced to give ground shortly after. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the greyhound to have sustained an injury to the back muscle and was subsequently stood down for 28 days. Further, the greyhound will be required to complete a satisfactory injury trial prior to returning to racing.

3 Fire Flick – Checked rounding the first turn. Inconvenienced entering the back straight. Checked entering the top turn. Checked rounding the home turn.

4 Rocket Reddy – Checked rounding the first turn.

6 Sahara Castle – Checked rounding the first turn.

7 She's A Gift – Checked rounding the first turn. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the greyhound to have sustained an injury to the near hind webbing and was subsequently stood down for 14 days.

8 Sabrina Bean – Proved difficult to box and will be boxed first in future events in accordance with GAR 106(2)(a). Slow to begin. Checked in the back straight. Checked entering the top turn.

6 Canya Goddess – Slow to begin. Turned its head outwards and made muzzle contact with another runner rounding the home turn and into the home straight. Stewards spoke to trainer S Lawrance regarding the greyhounds racing manners rounding the home turn and into the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 123 Canya Goddess was charged with marring. The greyhound was suspended for 28 days at Ipswich and must perform a satisfactory trial pursuant to GAR 123, before any future nomination will be accepted.

8 This Time Sara – Marred by another runner rounding the home turn.

10 Make Noise (7) - Declared a late scratching @ 1:50pm acting on veterinary advice.

Race 4 - DOVER & SONS NOVICE (1) 431m

1 Worthy Explosion – Checked off heels entering the back straight.

2 Satine – Checked after the start and again rounding the first turn.

3 Spring Demon – Checked after the start and again rounding the first turn.

4 Midnight Marilyn – Checked after the start.

6 Battlefield – Severely checked entering the top turn.

7 Booming Myah – Checked rounding the first turn.

Race 5 - BEENLEIGH LEGAL NOVICE (2) 431m

1 Booming Boo Boo – Dragged down from behind rounding the top turn.

2 Spring Beau – Checked rounding the first turn. Improved onto heels rounding the top turn. Gave ground over the concluding stages. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the greyhound to have sustained an injury to the back muscle and was subsequently stood down for 28 days. Further, the greyhound will be required to complete a satisfactory injury trial prior to returning to racing.
