General: Race 5 was started by hand due to electrical malfunction of the Boxes prior to the start of the event.

2 Wild Apatite Bumped entering the turn into the back straight.

3 Tommy Egan Checked entering the turn into the back straight.

8 Blue Sensation A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to the near side wrist 14 days stand down from racing.

A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to the near hind back muscle, 28 days stand down from racing and satisfactory completion of a steward’s trial prior to racing next.

1 Rubys And Pearls Bumped shortly after the start. Checked entering the turn into the back straight.

7 Big Wednesday Bumped entering the turn into the back straight.

8 Indigo Destroyer Checked entering the turn into the back straight.

Race 5 - ROWAN ANDERSON JOURNALIST 5TH GRADE HEAT 1 GRADE 5 520m

2 Blue Rex Severely checked and lost balance entering the turn out of the front straight.  A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent injury.

4 Spring Release Checked and lost balance entering the turn out of the back straight.

6 Kasey's Money Checked and lost balance entering the turn out of the back straight.

7 Antonio's Pride Severely checked and fell entering the turn out of the front straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent injuries.

4 Booming Myah Checked shortly after the start. Struck the rail entering the turn out of the front straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent injury.

Race 7 - IPSWICH LOCAL MAGAZINE 5TH GRADE HEAT 3 GRADE 5 520m

1 Whoosh Car Checked entering the turn out of the back straight.

2 Vermelo Caliente Checked entering the back straight.

4 Ivy Pearl Checked shortly after the start.

5 Go Wild Ethan Checked shortly after the start. Checked leaving the turn into the home straight.

6 Blue Queen Checked shortly after the start.

7 Smart Houdini Checked shortly after the start. Visibly eased and lost all momentum leaving the turn into the home straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent injury.

Stewards spoke to Paul Cauchi, the trainer of Smart Houdini regarding the greyhound’s racing manners entering the home straight.  Acting under the provisions of GAR 124(1) Smart Houdini was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment.  Trainer Paul Cauchi pleaded guilty to the charge, Smart Houdini was found guilty. As this was Smart Houdini’s 1^st offence the greyhound was suspended for 28 days at Ipswich and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 124(1), before any future nomination will be accepted.

Race 8 - GREYS4PETS BEST 8 431m

2 Ferocity Bumped on several occasions rounding the turn into the back straight.

3 Spring Cleo Checked entering the turn into the back straight.

4 Spring Rock Bumped on several occasions rounding the turn into the back straight.

Race 10 - GREYHOUNDS MAKE GREAT PETS GRADE 5 (1) 431m

1 Loquacious Checked entering the turn out of the back straight. Bumped rounding the turn into the home straight.

2 Master Mars Checked entering the turn out of the back straight.

4 Battlefield Jumped over fallen runner Teddy Box rounding the turn out of the back straight. Shifted out and ran wide entering the turn into the home straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent injuries.

6 Eamon Mac Underwent a Pre-race veterinary examination and was passed fit to race.

7 Teddy Box Severely checked and fell rounding the turn out of the back straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent injuries.

5 Queen Of Samson Bumped shortly after the start. Hampered entering the back straight.   Severely checked and fell passing the middle stage of the back straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent injury.
