Race 1 - TAB VENUE MODE MAIDEN (1) 431m

2 She's Sleek Bumped shortly after the start.

3 Galloping Black Bumped shortly after the start.

5 Rubeson Checked shortly after the start.

6 Silver Skylark Checked shortly after the start. Checked off heels rounding the turn into the home straight.

7 Sirius Suzie Checked shortly after the start.

8 Skylark Bully Shifted out and ran wide entering the back straight. Ran wide entering the home straight.

Race 2 - SKY RACING MAIDEN (2) 431m

2 Sirius Keith Bumped entering the turn into the back straight.

3 Cosmic Tom Tom Checked off heels entering the turn into the back straight.

5 Regal Pursuit Bumped entering the turn into the back straight. Visibly eased and turned its head to the inside away from the lure, entering the home straight. Visibly eased over the middle and final stages of the race. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent injury.

Stewards spoke to John Geoghegan, the trainer of Regal Pursuit regarding the greyhound’s racing manners in the front straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 124(1) (greyhound) was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment.  Regal Pursuit was found guilty. As this was Regal Pursuit  1^st offence the greyhound was suspended for 28 days at Ipswich and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 124(1), before any future nomination will be accepted.

8 Skylark Tiara Bumped entering the turn into the back straight.

2 Tarzan Gunn Improved upon the heels of another runner and fell entering the turn out of the back straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent injury.

4 Full Of Cheek Slow to begin. Hampered leaving the turn into the back straight. Tightened for room and shifted out running wide entering the turn out of the back straight.

1 Whiskey Business Bumped on several occasions and took an awkward stride passing the middle of the home straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to the off hind back muscle, 28 days stand down from racing and satisfactory completion of a stewards trial prior to racing next.
