General: Due to a malfunction with the lure prior to the start of race 3 all races were moved back 2 time slots.

 

New race times for the meet were amended as follows:

 

R3 - 4.12pm

R4 – 4.34pm

R5 – 4.54pm

R6 – 5.14pm

R7 – 5.37pm

R8 – 5.53pm

R9 – 6.08pm

R10 – 6.23pm

Race 1 - TAB VENUE MODE MAIDEN 431m

 

3 Switched Out – Slow to begin.

 

4 Lenny Rocks Out – Checked on the first turn, checked entering the home turn.

 

6 Latrell Bar Cool – Severely checked on the first turn.

 

7 Short And Blonde – Severely checked on the first turn, gave ground in the back straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.

 

8 Letho Land – Slow to begin, severely checked on the first turn.

 

10 Flexibility – Severely checked on the first turn, checked entering the home turn.

 

 

Race 2 - SKY RACING NOVICE (1) 431m

 

2 Grumpy Moose – Checked then marred by another runner on the first turn. A post-race veterinary examination revealed abrasions to both hind legs the greyhound has been stood down for 7 days.

 

3 Illegal Point – Bumped on the first turn.

 

4 Give Me Donuts – Late scratching at 2.54pm – Illness. The greyhound has been stood down for 10 days.

 

6 Loads Of Torque – Bumped on the first turn then turned its head outwards making contact with another runner. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings. Steward’s spoke to trainer Nikki Peters regarding the greyhound’s racing manners. After viewing the video replay and considered submissions from the trainer, Stewards invoked GAR 123 Marring 1st offence - 28 day stand down at Ipswich and must complete a satisfactory steward’s trial prior to racing next.

 

 

Race 3 - WWW.IPSWICHGREYHOUNDS.COM NOVICE (2) 431m

 

Due to a malfunction with the lure at the start of the event resulting in the boxes not opening, all dogs were removed from the starting boxes and underwent a Veterinary check.

 

2 Keep Tracking – Checked on the first turn.

 

4 Velocity Nicole – Bumped in the back straight, checked entering the home turn.

 

8 Swift Revenge – Bumped in the back straight, checked entering the home turn.

 

 

Race 4 - DOVER & SONS MIXED 4/5 431m

 

1 Tequila Worm – Bumped soon after the start, checked on the first turn, checked entering the back straight.

 

2 Scoots First – Bumped soon after the start, checked on the first turn, severely checked then gave ground entering the back straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a near side pin injury the greyhound has been stood down for 10 days.

 

3 Powder Keg – Checked across heels rounding the home turn.

 

5 Septimo – Checked on the first turn, checked entering the back straight.

 

7 Frosty Girl – Checked on the first turn, checked entering the back straight.

 

 

Race 5 - IPSWICH AUCTION SPRINT SERIES HEAT 1 OPEN 431m

 

1 Sonic Wheels – Checked entering the home turn.

 

2 Blaze A Trail – Checked on the first turn.

 

3 Liberty Valance – Slow to begin, checked on the first turn, checked off heels entering the home turn.

 

4 Estonian Lady – Severely checked on the first turn, made contact with the rail entering the back straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an offside hind fibula injury the greyhound has been stood down for 14 days.

 

6 Rybolt – Checked on the first turn.

 

7 Booming Myah – Checked on the first turn.

 

8 Journalist - Checked on the first turn. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings. Stewards spoke to trainer Gregory Stella regarding the greyhound’s performance. Mr Stella stated that although the greyhound has raced at Ipswich before he doesn’t believe the greyhound has adapted well going from the straight track back to the circle and intents to trial the greyhound on the circle track before racing again. Stewards noted his submissions.

 

 

Race 6 - IPSWICH AUCTION SPRINT SERIES HEAT 2 OPEN 431m

 

1 Taabinga Tiger – Slow to begin, checked entering the first turn, bumped with another runner in the home straight.

 

2 Hot Blaster – Checked on the first turn.

 

3 Vande Bharat – Bumped with another runner in the home straight.

 

5 Booming Boo Boo – Checked on the first turn, marred by another runner in the home straight.

 

6 City Way – Slow to begin, checked on the first turn.

 

7 Our Opals – Checked on the first turn, turned its head outwards making contact with another runner in the home straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings. Steward’s spoke to trainer Gregory Stella regarding the greyhound’s racing manners. After viewing the video replay and considered submissions from the trainer and the veterinary report, Stewards invoked GAR 123 Marring 1st offence - 28 day stand down at Ipswich and must complete a satisfactory steward’s trial prior to racing next.

 

8 Miss Sassy – Checked on the first turn.

 

 

Race 7 - IPSWICH AUCTION SPRINT SERIES HEAT 3 OPEN 431m

 

1 Dolly Moscow – Checked on the first turn, severely checked entering the back straight, checked rounding the home turn.

 

2 Dolly Dutton – Checked on the first turn, checked entering the back straight.

 

3 Classy Nebo – Checked on the first turn, dragged down entering the back straight, checked approaching the home turn.

 

5 Haytown's Girl – Checked on the first turn, severely checked and fell entering the back straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.

 

6 Turbo Blaster – Checked on the first turn, severely checked entering the back straight.

 

7 Boom Boom Harley – Checked on the first turn, checked entering the back straight.

 

8 Mallanganee Miss – Checked on the first turn.

 

 

Race 8 - IPSWICH AUCTION SPRINT SERIES HEAT 4 OPEN 431m

 

1 Repeat Dose – Bumped on the first turn, checked rounding the home turn.

 

2 Magistrate – Bumped on the first turn.

 

3 Bentley Boom – Bumped on the first turn, checked rounding the home turn.

 

4 Akimbo – Bumped on the first turn, shifted out abruptly and bumped with another runner entering the home turn.

 

5 Uzman Dutton – Checked on the first turn.

 

6 Smart And Classy – Bumped entering the home turn.

 

8 Hot Tyson – Went up with the lids then stumbled leaving the boxes, checked across heels rounding the home turn. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.

 

 

Race 9 - DOVER & SONS GRADE 5 (1) 431m

 

1 Jack Spot – Checked on the first turn.

 

2 Here's Yours – Checked on the first turn, bumped rounding the home turn.

 

3 Thornbird – Checked on the first turn, bumped rounding the home turn.

 

4 Once Again – Checked on the first turn.

 

5 Top Shelf Toby – Slow to begin, turned its head outwards taking it attention away from the lure in the home straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a chest muscle injury the greyhound has been stood down for 7 days. Steward’s spoke to trainer’s representative Hayden Bloomfield regarding the greyhound’s racing manners. After viewing the video replay and considered submissions from Mr Bloomfield and the veterinary report, Stewards invoked GAR 125 Fail to Pursue with injury - 7 day stand down and must complete a satisfactory steward’s trial prior to racing next.

 

7 Betty Jo – Slow to begin, tightened entering the home turn.

 

8 It's Time Lionel – Checked on the first turn, bumped rounding the home turn.

 

9 Polly's Paws – Checked on the first turn, checked entering the home turn.

 

 

Race 10 - GREYHOUND_DATA.COM GRADE 5 (2) 431m

 

1 Illegal One – Severely checked and fell entering the home turn. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings. 

 

2 Yumar – Slow to begin.

 

4 Bang Bang Bang – Checked entering the back straight. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination after falling in the catching pen which revealed no significant findings.

 

5 Flight To Mars – Checked entering the home turn.

 

6 Far More Women – Slow to begin.

 

7 Sugar Pie – Dragged down entering the back straight then gave ground and took no further competitive part in the event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an offside back muscle injury the greyhound has been stood down for 28 days and must complete a satisfactory steward’s trial prior to racing next.
