Race 1 - TAB VENUE MODE MDNPW 431m

 

2 Sirius Bill – Slow to begin, into the back turn was tightened.

 

5 Tuta Panda – Entering the home straight eased and turned its head outwards taking its attention away from the lure. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities. Stewards spoke to trainer C Druery regarding the greyhound’s actions at that stage of the event, after reviewing the video replay and hearing the submissions from Mr Druery, stewards deemed Tuta Panda had taken its attention away from the lure therefore invoked GAR 124 Failing to Pursue. As this was the greyhound’s 1st offence under this rule Tuta Panda was suspended from racing at Ipswich for 28 days and until the successful completion of a satisfactory steward’s trial.

 

8 Bundy Rose – In the home straight slightly inconvenienced.

 

 

 

Race 2 - SKY RACING MAIDEN (1) 431m

 

1 Jet Black – Through the 1st turn was severely checked. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to its nearside fore foot and was stood down from racing for 10 days.

 

3 Snake Eyes Senna – Through the back turn put in an awkward stride. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to its offside pin and was stood down from racing for 7 days.

 

4 Cosmic Tom Tom – Through the 1st turn was tightened and checked, leaving the 1st turn was inconvenienced.

 

5 Oak's Best – Leaving the 1st turn was inconvenienced.

 

6 Farmor Chaotic – Through the back turn was checked.

 

8 Henry Delatt – Slow to begin.

3 Hey Mick – Slow to begin, near the finish was checked.

 

4 My Villain – Into the back turn was tightened, near the finish was checked.

 

7 Tuta Storm – Into the 1st turn was inconvenienced.

 

8 Sirius Wilson – Into the 1st turn was inconvenienced, through the back turn was held up for clear running.

 

 

 

Race 4 - DOVER & SONS MAIDEN FINAL MAIDEN 431m

 

1 Villain – Rounding the home turn was inconvenienced.  

 

2 Johnny Baha – Into the 1st turn was checked.

 

3 Harada's Lass­ – In the back straight was tightened. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent injury.

 

4 Flexibility – Through the 1st turn was severely checked.

 

5 Lenny Rocks Out – Rounding the home turn was inconvenienced.

 

6 Maywyn's Nifty – Slow to begin, through turn was severely checked.

 

7 Sirius Graham – Through the 1st turn was tightened.

 

 

 

Race 5 - GREYHOUNDS MAKE GREAT PETS NOVICE (1) 431m

 

4 Border Issues – Slow to begin, leaving the 1st turn momentarily eased losing ground. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have sustained an injury to its nearside pin and 7 day stand down period was imposed.  Stewards spoke to trainer B Francis regarding the greyhounds racing manners leaving the 1st turn.  Acting under the provisions of GAR 125(a), failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Border Issues must perform a Satisfactory Trial pursuant to GAR 127(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.

6 Who Really Knows – Underwent a pre-race veterinary examination and was passed suitable to race.

 

7 Rosdue Kodiak – Slow to begin.

1 Royal Look – Into the 1st turn was inconvenienced.

 

4 Get Carter – Slow to begin.

1 Shot Of Gold – Rounding the home turn was tightened.

 

2 Maywyn Kama – Into the 1st turn was tightened, through the 1st turn was checked.

 

5 Side Tracked – Through the 1st turn was checked.

 

6 Villante – Approaching the 1st turn was tightened, into the 1st turn was inconvenienced.

4 Majestic Shot – Proved difficult to box and will be boxed first in future events in accordance with GAR 106(2)(a). Into the 1st turn was checked.

 

5 Spring Oak – Late scratching at 12:48pm due to the greyhound being on season (GAR 77).  A 28 day stand down period was imposed.

 

6 Spring Boorowa – Into the 1st turn was tightened and checked.

 

7 Flying Phil – Into the 1st turn was checked.
