General: Trainer Tyson Barton was reminded of his obligations regarding the Racing Queensland dress requirements.

Due to a malfunction with the 630m starting boxes at the beginning of race 9 all greyhounds were removed from the boxes and returned to the kennels to undertake a Veterinary examination prior to the start of the event. Subsequently all races were moved back one time slot and race 9 was manually started.

Race times we amended as follows:

Race 1 - TAB VENUE MODE MAIDEN HEAT 1 MAIDEN 2 520m

4 Sirius Wilson – Checked on the first turn, checked off heels rounding the home turn, checked approaching the winning post.

7 Sirius Rodney – Checked off heels on the home turn, checked approaching the winning post.

A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings. Steward’s spoke to trainer’s representative Warren Nicholls regarding the greyhound’s racing manners in the home straight. Stewards viewed the video replay and considered submissions from Mr Nicholl’s and the Veterinary report. Stewards deemed that greyhound had turned it head inwards towards another runner, therefore Stewards invoked GAR 124 Fail to Pursue the greyhound has been stood down for 28 days at Ipswich and must complete a satisfactory Steward’s trial prior to racing next.

8 Whispering Abbey – Checked on the home turn, checked approaching the winning post.

Race 2 - SKY RACING MAIDEN HEAT 2 MAIDEN 2 520m

1 Sirius Lilly – Checked and taken wide entering the first turn.

2 Sirius Bill – Slow to begin.

3 Velocity Shar – Bumped with another runner in the front straight.

4 Sirius Zoe – Slow to begin.

6 Born To Rave – Bumped with another runner in the front straight, checked entering the first turn.

7 My King – Checked entering the first turn.

8 Hooked On Dean – Checked entering the first turn.

4 Blue Hornet – Checked entering the first turn, severely checked and fell entering the home turn. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.

5 Get Carter – Checked entering the first turn, checked entering the home turn.

Race 5 - IPSWICH YOUNG GUNS (L) HEAT 2 OPEN 2 520m

1 Dashing Dipper – Checked in the front straight, checked entering the first turn, became unbalanced and bumped with another runner rounding the home turn. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.

2 Boom Boom Harley – Checked entering the first turn.

4 Rubys And Pearls – Checked in the front straight, checked entering the first turn, checked on the first turn.

5 Gold Fillings – Bumped entering the first turn, checked on the first turn, bumped rounding the home turn. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an offside hind leg injury the greyhound has been stood down for 21 days.

7 Stone Cold Blue – Bumped entering the first turn, checked on the first turn, checked entering the home turn.

8 Bye Bye Raider – Slow to begin, bumped entering the first turn.

Race 6 - IPSWICH YOUNG GUNS (L) HEAT 3 OPEN 2 520m

2 Elisheba – Checked entering the first turn.

4 Bentley Boom – Checked entering the first turn, checked rounding the home turn.

5 Ivy Pearl – Checked in the front straight, severely checked entering the first turn then gave ground and took no further competitive part in the event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an offside front leg injury the greyhound has been stood down for 28 days and must complete a satisfactory Steward’s trial prior to racing next.

6 Emerald Dragon – Checked in the front straight, severely checked and fell entering the first turn. A post-race veterinary examination revealed bruising to the offside stifle the greyhound has been stood down for 7 days.

7 Phantom Jasper – Checked on the first turn.

8 Another Chance – Checked on the first turn.

6 Jayville Flynn – Slow to begin, faulted in its action approaching the first turn and took no further part in the event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an offside hind leg injury the greyhound has been stood down for 90 days and must complete a satisfactory steward’s trial prior to racing next.

7 Brightest Gunn – Slow to begin, checked entering the first turn, bumped rounding the home turn.
