General: During the start of race 7 the boxes had a mechanical malfunction, subsequently races 7 and 8 were started manually.

Race 1 - TAB VENUE MODE MAIDEN HEAT 1 MAIDEN 431m

2 Power Of Bob Checked and struck the rail entering the turn into the back straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent injury.

8 Jackson's Miss Checked and ran wide entering the turn into the back straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent injury.

7 Oak's Best Turned its head to the outside, away from the lure, and shifted out towards another runner over the final stages of the race. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent injury.

Stewards spoke to Alby Kennewell, the trainer of Oak’s Best regarding the greyhound’s racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 124(1) failing to pursue the lure with due commitment, Oak's Best was found in breach of GAR 124(1) and suspended for 28 days at Ipswich and must perform a Satisfactory Trial pursuant to GAR 127(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.
