General: Stewards held an Inquiry into the conduct of Licenced trainer Jason Aylward during the post race sampling of the greyhound Alvey. Jason Aylward was found guilty and was fined the sum of $200.00 in respect of a charge issued pursuant to Greyhounds Australasia Rule 156(f)(ii) for behaving in an inappropriate manner towards a race day veterinarian, which conduct, in the opinion of the Stewards constitutes misconduct.

2 She Hulk Checked entering the first turn. Commenced to give ground rounding the turn into the home straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to the off side fore leg, 90 days stand down from racing and satisfactory completion of one stewards trial prior to racing next.

no apparent injury.

4 Invincible Gal Visibly eased approaching the finish. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent injury.

Stewards spoke to Rodney Power, the trainer of Invincible Gal regarding the greyhound’s racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 124(1) failing to pursue the lure with due commitment Invincible Gal was found in breach and suspended for 28 days at Ipswich and must perform a Satisfactory Trial pursuant to GAR 127(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.

Race 11 – TAB MA5 (1) 288m

4 Rondinella Checked shortly after the start. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to the near side hip, 14 days stand down from racing.

8 Smooth Grace. Raced wide and collided with another runner entering the home straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent injury.
