Race 1 - TAB VENUE MODE MAIDEN FINAL MAIDEN 288m

1 Vande Bharat – Made contact with the running rail approaching the first turn. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant abnormalities.

2 Farmor Shallow – Checked rounding the first turn.

3 Fire Up Danni – Checked after the start.

5 Gaston – Checked rounding the first turn.

7 Sweet Babe – Checked approaching the home turn.

Race 2 - SKY RACING 5TH GRADE HEAT 1 GRADE 5 288m

1 Polly's Jester – Checked rounding the first turn.

4 Ruby Duck – Checked approaching the home turn.

6 Fun Run – Checked approaching the first turn.

2 Spring Flare – Turned its head outwards towards another runner in the home straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant abnormalities. Stewards spoke to trainers representative Mr S Byers regarding the greyhound’s actions at that stage of the event, after reviewing the video replay and the hearing the submissions from Mr Byers, stewards deemed Spring Flare had taken its attention away from the lure therefore invoked GAR 124 Failing to Pursue. As this was the greyhound’s 1st offence under this rule Spring Flare was suspended from racing at Ipswich for 28 days and until the successful completion of a satisfactory steward’s trial.

3 Cosmic Val – Checked shortly after the start. Raced wide for the majority of the event.

6 Give Me Donuts – Checked and marred by another runner rounding the home turn and became unbalanced. Checked in the home straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant abnormalities. Stewards spoke to Mrs M Westwood regarding the racing manners of Give Me Donuts rounding the home turn. After hearing evidence from M Westwood, viewing all the available race footage and acting on their observations, Stewards took no further action.

7 Star Kit – Turned its head inwards and made muzzle contact with another runner in the home straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant abnormalities. Stewards spoke to trainer Mr S Staples regarding the greyhound’s racing manners at that stage of the event, after hearing the steward’s observation, reviewing the video replay and the trainers’ submissions, stewards deemed that Star Kit did make head contact with the greyhound to its inside and therefore invoked GAR 123 Marring. As this was the greyhound’s 1st offence under this rule Star Kit was suspended from racing at Ipswich for 28 days and until the completion of a satisfactory steward’s trial prior to racing next.

4 Showtime Bruce – Checked in the home straight.

5 Isn't Simple – Checked in the home straight.

7 Whiskey On Ice – Checked approaching the first turn. Checked in the home straight.

Race 5 - GREYHOUNDS MAKE GREAT PETS 5TH GRADE HEAT 4 GRADE 5 288m

1 My Ninja – Checked approaching the first turn.

3 Dark Ruby – Severely checked and fell approaching the first turn. Tailed the filed for the remainder of the event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant abnormalities.

4 Dragon Smoke – Checked approaching the first turn.

6 Transient – Checked approaching the first turn.

Race 7 - ROWAN ANDERSON JOURNALIST GRADE 3 288m

The start was delayed by approximately 2 minutes due to a malfunction with the starting boxes. All runners were removed from the starting boxes and underwent a veterinary examination prior to being reloaded for the event.

1 Farmor Millers – Checked approaching the first turn.

6 He's The Outlaw – Tightened for racing room after the start.

Race 8 – IPSWICH LOCAL MAGAZINE BEST 8 288m

6 Flawless Scottie – Checked entering the first turn.

7 Quick Blast – Severely checked and fell entering the first turn. Tailed the field for the remainder of the event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant abnormalities.

3 Yorklea One – Made contact with the running rail approaching the first turn. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant abnormalities.
